Uranium in historical ceramic glazes: Determination by alpha radiation detection and comparison with other methods
Vopat, Michal ; Goliáš, Viktor (advisor) ; Jelínek, Emil (referee)
In the Czech Republic yellow and ivory glazes with uranium in the Ditmar-Urbach and Terra Teplice companies were manufactured in the pre-war and inter-war period. The production of these glazes took place at the latest since the 1900, the material springs have existed since 1912. Their production ended in 1945. The most suitable method of non-destructive determination of uranium was the measurement of surface alpha activity on planar surfaces by a probe with a ZnS (Ag) scintillator constructed special for this bachelor thesis. Altogether 85 samples, evidence of this production, were measured. To determine the conversion of detected alpha activity to uranium content, an indirect calibration method was chosen to measure uranium content in three types of glazes by WDS analysis. In the studied set, uranium contents ranged from 0.2-2.2 % with the highest frequency ranging from 0.5-0.6 % U. 16 samples of yellow and ivory glazes were without added uranium with contents up to 322 ppm eU. Comparison of uranium contents determined by surface alpha activity measurement with area beta activity confirmed that the glazing does not form a saturated layer for beta radiation. Three types of glazes analyzed by WDS were also measured by XRF. By comparing uranium contents determined by both methods, it was found that...
Methodics of drug crime investigation
Kunetek, David ; Štourač, Petr (advisor) ; Musil, Jan (referee)
Methodics of drug crime investigation Abstract The subject of my diploma work is the methodics of drug crime investigation. Above all, I have chosen this subject because I am deeply interested in the problem of drug and circumstances that are linked with this issue. As police officer I have a lot of experience on the field of drug crime investigation and I decided to focus my diploma work especially on the methodics of serious organized and international drug crime. My diploma work is structured into two parts and seven chapters. In the General part I tried to explain most important facts about drug crime, its history, its causes and I mentioned some specifics of the drug scene in the Czech Republic. Chapter 2 of my diploma work is aimed to provide detailed information about various kinds of drugs, about their origin, appearance and effects on human health. Very important part of my diploma work is also next chapter that is aimed on legal regulation of drug treatment in our country. Relevant crimes and misdemeanors were mentioned as well as some de lege ferenda suggestions concerning this issue. Chapter 4 deals with general principles of creating methodics of single crimes investigation. It describes essential components of these methodics, recommended approaches and tries to explain the necessity of...
Development of methodics for performance comparison of data warehouse systems
Ronovský, Jan ; Pavlíček, Antonín (advisor) ; Meixner, Jiří (referee)
This thesis focuses on developing methodics for performance comparison of data warehouse systems. Firstly, the thesis defines data warehouses in various development stages of organization BI and describes knowledge about data warehouses. Methodics developed in the thesis describes architecture of standardized data warehouse, data flow between areas of data warehouse and processes in data warehouse. Understanding of these concepts is crucial for assurance of methodics applicability. Methodics offer logical progression of steps, which start and include testing of data warehouse systems. The contribution of the thesis is in having guide, what needs to be done when organization must do while testing various systems for data warehouses. Also it describes how this testing should be done on middle level detail, which is the absolute minimum level of abstraction that can be done due to wide applicability of methodics. Methodics offers solution to the problem of performance comparison when organization need to answer question - Which data warehouse system should we use in our organization? However, methodics expects already some knowledge about data warehouse content.
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS OF THE LIFE OF THE PIPE MATERIAL OF GREY CAST IRON
Kozelský, Jiří ; Kriš,, Jozef (referee) ; Škrobánková,, Hana (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
The dissertation describes the technical analysis of the pipe material of gray cast iron, which is developed on the basis of historical documents and standards. The technical analysis is a methodology for determining the technical state and theoretical residual life of the pipe section made of cast iron, which is processed into a software application Kozel 1.0. The proposed methodology operates on the basis of multi-criteria decision making. For input the data methodologies are designed to monitor the operators of water supply networks. The output of the methodology is to determine the category of the technical condition of the pipe section and time stamp, minimum and maximum residual lifetime analysis pipeline segment. Outputs of the methodology are compared with the outputs of medium-term plans of Ostrava and Brno.

Methods: Creation of chapter theoretical data was done by analyzing all available sources. The listing of recommendations for practicing advanced stunts was created by comparison of available literature concerning advanced stunts in cheerleading. Further we used the method of observation and then selected particular stunts for methodical material. Results: Comprehensive review of information about cheerleading. Complete listing of grips, load-ins and dismounts. Didactic recommendations for practice of advanced stunts formed into methodical lists and photo documentation. Keywords: Cheerleader, methodics, didactics, lifting figures
Methodology for processing plan documentation
Fencl, Petr
The presented methodology solves a clearly defined task - processing plan documentation for a given volume number in a limited time frame and limited financial resources. Because it is 94% of plans on tracing paper, we can take the whole process as the processing of the registry and archives of his last contact with the printing device - ie the scanner. The methodology aims to describe the process from collection matrices to final storage in the archive. Considerations in determining the progress of the work and the decision-making process is very important for solving complexity. For example, typically stored on archival break them individually in a paper sleeve / pocket / with a description and identification number on the carton. In our case for the 6500 format, I need 6500 sheets of sufficient size eg. 70 g / m2. This amount is two pallets of paper with a height of about 80 cm. That means the material 1.6 m in height. When transferred to a pocket, it is already 3.2 m. When you insert the matrix and stored without tying palette brings tripled - that is almost 10 m in height material.
