Design of a GUI for Home Control for the Elderly
Válek, Lukáš ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Fučík, Jan (advisor)
This work focuses on the problems with the design of software for the elderly and ways to solve them. Furthermore, a design of a control interface for smart homes, which takes these problems into account, was done. The process of the design is described and reasons for the decision that are made are given. Following is a description of the implementation of the proposed interface and its testing on a targeted group of users. The work also outlines a possible extension of the interface for further use.
Validation of Web Accessibility
Krásný, Kamil ; Trchalík, Roman (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
The subject matter of this project is accessibility of web pages and possibilities of its automated validation. This thesis defines what web accessibility really is and identifies what disabilities can users of the Internet suffer from. The main goal is to analyse and to compare current web accessibility rules valid in the USA, in the European Union and in the Czech Republic and to research existing validators as well. The tools are divided into the following categories: Online tools, toolbars and desktop applications. The output of this project is in form of specification and implementation of a new validation tool.
Annotation Server Modules
Strecha, Juraj ; Kouřil, Jan (referee) ; Dytrych, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with an Annotation server module design and its implementation in the Decipher project. The purpose of the module is to suggest annotations for document that the user works with. One will find the Annotation server and the SEC Store API server description in the beginning of the thesis. A major part of the document presents a design and an implementation of the solution. Standalone part of the thesis deals with a module functionalities testing in the system environment. The communication protocol between both servers definition and description is also included in this document.
A Tool for Analysis of Digital Circuit Evolution Records
Kapusta, Vlastimil ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Sekanina, Lukáš (advisor)
This master thesis describes stochastic optimization algorithms inspired in nature that use population of individuals - evolutionary algorithms. Genetic programming and its variant - cartesian genetic programming is described in a greater detail. This thesis is further focused on the analysis and visualization of digital circuit evolution records. Existing tools for visualization of the circuit evolution were analysed, but because no suitable tool allowing complex analysis of the circuit evolution was found, a new set of functions was proposed and the principles of a new tool were formulated. These functions were implemented in form of an interactive GUI application in Java programming language. The application was described in detail and then used for analysis of digital circuit evolution records.
Interactive Visualization of XML
Kubíček, Daniel ; Stryka, Lukáš (referee) ; Chmelař, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is engaged in problem of visualization XML. In the first part, there is described XML language in brief and his basic characterization. There is resumed the possibility of XML usage, his advantage, XML syntax and logical structure. Bachelor's thesis also describes the problematic of reading XML in Java. The thesis is engaged in problems of XML visualization. There are summarized XML properties, advantages and disadvantages of available visualization tools in short. The Implementation chapter describes choosing of suitable programming language and development system. It briefly defines available modeling tools with individual reasons why they couldn't be used. The developed application contains two types of displaying XML elements, the basic type and the aggregation type. The program output is supposed to be practical and usable visualization tool, although many extensions can be made.
Mobile System for Travelling Support
Blatný, Petr ; Zelený, Jan (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This master's thesis describes process of design and development of a mobile system for travelling support. Application named TravelHelper is developed for Android operating system therefore is implemented in Java programing language. In thesis's text is described used platform and its primary construction blocks. Main function of application is a journeys' diary, which allows storing activities of a trips. Application also allows backing up and sharing journeys on a social networks. Other functions of the application are searching for interesting places nearby, manager of travel expenses, translator, currency converter, and a packing list.
Content-Based Searching for Similar CT Scans
Hošek, Pavel ; Klíma, Ondřej (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
The work deals with the design and implementation of tool for Content-Based Searching for similar CT scans. This work also deals with comparision of individual methods for searching for similar CT scans. Third-party libraries are used to extract individual descriptors. Furthermore, this work  presents results of the implemented  searching tool and also presents results of the comparision of individual methods for Content-Based Searching for similar CT scans and suggests possible improvements.
Gamebot for Unreal Tournament
Příborský, Martin ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Kalmár, Róbert (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor`s thesis is to design and implement a gamebot for Unreal Tournament 2004 game at Pogamut platform.
