Postavení myslivosti v rámci současné české společnosti

This thesis deals with how the general public perceives hunting and hunting activities. Nowadays, more and more citizens are diverting from their relationship to nature and do not realize that hunting and the overall hunting activity positively contributes to maintaining the balance between nature and man. Also, few people admit that hunting is closely linked to nature protection and is not just about hunting. However, hunting is nowadays an important step towards reducing game numbers, especially because of the considerable damage that is usually caused by game to forest stands. In order to address the aim of the thesis, a questionnaire survey method was used, where two types of questionnaire were designed for different groups of respondents. With the help of this research, it was found that people living in the village have a more positive attitude towards nature and hunting than people living in the city. It was also found that the general public has a 70 % positive perception of deer, despite the fact that this species of game causes considerable damage to forest stands. The analysis also revealed that hunters should focus more on awareness-raising activities to make the general public more aware of their activities.

The topic of the bachelor thesis is Venison as a raw material for production of the meat products. The thesis defines the terms meat, the game and the venison. It describes the classification of the game, the ways of the hunting and its influence on the venison’s quality and hygiene. The thesis compares the biological and physical risks that may be dangerous for the final consumer. There are a diagram of meat production and possible final products from the venison meat. The separate chapter is devoted to the religion influence is dealt with in a separate chapter, this chapter describes the special requirements for the killing animals and their subsequent consumption in other cultures.

In my bachelor thesis I analyze the Czech market with venison and propose its optimization from the producers´point of view. In the thesis I evaluated how the hunted venison is handled and how much it is sold for on average. It is interesting that commercial companies prefer to sell game to the buy-out for all cetegories of venison. On the other hand, individuals keep most of their venison for themselves. A major aspect of this study was how many users own refrigeration equipment and how much venison a trained person inspects. Based on the results, I suggest the most efficient way of selling venison by the user of the hunting ground. I recommend that state-owned companies and religious organizations primarily sell venison in work-in-process portions, while other users prefer to sell directly to the end consumer.

1 Hunting and fishing in the light of selected environmental issues Abstract The diploma thesis focuses on the hunting and fishing in the light of selected environmental issues. Both hunting and fishing are activities that may serve as freetime activities, but their main purpose is nature conservation and as such should respond to the changes in nature brought about by climate change. The aim of this diploma thesis is to provide the reader with a basic insight into the legal regulation of hunting and fishing and to assess the current legal regulation in terms of preparedness for the changes in nature brought about by ongoing climate change. The second objective is pursued by answering three questions: "Does the Czech legislation sufficiently care about biodiversity conservation?", "Does the Czech legislation effectively combat invasive and non-native species?" and "Is Czech legislation prepared for the changes in animal behaviour that will inevitably occur in the context of climate change?". Communication in hunting

This bachelor's thesis deals with the communication of the largest Czech hunting interest organization - the Českomoravská myslivecká jednota, z.s. (Czech-Moravian Hunting Association, registered association). The thesis also focuses on the public opinion regarding hunting and communication within the hunting domain. The main objective of this work is to present the communication mix of the Czech-Moravian Hunting Association its marketing strategies, and internal communication. The first part of the thesis defines the theoretical framework related to hunting, communication, and marketing in interest associations. The theoretical and methodological context of the researched concepts and subjects is introduced. In the methodological section, research objectives and utilized research methods are thoroughly described. The practical part contains the actual research, which is essentially divided into two main sections - one comprises a questionnaire survey, while the other focuses on individual components of the communication mix of the Czech-Moravian Hunting Association. Teaching Activities for the Second Degree of Elementary School on the Topic of Common Pheasant

This thesis focuses on the topic of pheasants, exploring the evolution and change of people's opinions on them between the years 1926 and 1960. The journal StraZ myslivosti, which was later renamed to Myslivost, served as the main source of reference for these opinions. Individual articles taken from the periodical are introduced accordingly. These articles mainly discuss the breeding and hunting of the bird, but they also shed light on the research and further studies that were important for its popularization in the Czech Republic. We can say that the popularization was quite successful based on the pheasant population, which largely increased in the 1950s. However, due to agricultural changes and alterations in the landscape, their numbers decreased in the 1970s. The main trends of the article contents are purposefully divided into five-year periods. The aim of the practical part is to design activities for lower-secondary school students that target different points of view they can adopt (e.g., morphological and ecological standpoints) and simultaneously cultivate their scientific thinking. The Silviculture of the Schwarzenbergs in 1650-1750

This thesis deals with the forestry on Schwarzenberg´s estates Třeboň and Hluboká nad Vltavou in years 1650 to 1750. Author puts stress on forest personnel, its composition and workload. Then the author looks into the perception of the wood, care about the forest, planting trees and its later extraction connected with swimming the wood on rivers. Author also couldn´t miss mentioning the stealings of wood. Part of the thesis contains the information about the fauna in Schwarzenberg´s forests. In this part the thesis aims on analyzing the composition of harmful animals on one side; on the other the composition of the utilitarian animals that had been taken care of in preserves and pheasabtries. Author also puts stress on hunting and its practical organisation. The thesis also looks into the selling of hunting goods and the import of the animals from abroad to Schwarzenberg´s princes.
