Christianity in Primary Education

This diploma thesis Christianity in Primary Education is focused on Christianity (namely holidays and saints, Bible stories and basics of Christianity) in primary teaching. The area of Christianity in Czech public education is analysed on the basis of informations which are contained in curricular documents and textbooks. The results are compare with some other European states. The semi-structured interviews allowed to examine more in detail the influence of teachers and their attitudes in connection with teaching about Christianity. The response to these interviews is the activity file which is possible to use as a teaching tool.
Observance of Traditions and Customs in Bohemia and in Moravia

The dissertation Observance of traditions and customs in Bohemia and in Moravia focuses on issues of Czech and Moravian traditions, customs and holidays, namely on two important holidays Easter and Christmas. These two holidays are the most significant events of ecclesiastical year but they are favourite as well among inhabitants of the Czech Republic, in particular Christmas. Various customs and traditions are handed down from generation to generation and they occupy a significant position in people's lives. In the introduction the terms that are important for this work are explained as well as the significance of traditions and customs for culture, current situation of culture is mentioned as well. This work presents description of the two mentioned holidays in the context of Czech culture. In the second part of this work you can find comparison of selected elements with regard to particular Czech and Moravian customs. Apart from presenting of presented Easter and Christmas customs and their comparison, the work aims to define tendencies which occured and name these tendencies. In the conclusion, the findings about differences between Czech and Moravian customs are summarized and defined, the prognosis about future development of observing customs is mentioned as well. Muslim holidays

The thesis called "Muslim holidays" provides the reader with an overview of selected Islamic holidays that are frequently celebrated in the Islamic society. Its primary goal is to look into the lives of young Muslims and to compare how this generation perceives these celebrations, especially the feast of Ramadan, what factors influence their behaviour and to which extent they stick to the traditional teaching of Islam. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is a theoretical part and focuses on the origin of Islam religion and its main principles. Also, public and family holidays of Islam are introduced. Nevertheless, the main focus is on the feast of Ramadan and different aspects of its celebrations. The second, practical part comprises of qualitative research. The main methods and objectives of the research are defined in this part and also, the criteria for the choice of respondents and the respondents themselves are introduced. In the conclusion, knowledge that has been achieved is described.
The Importance of Tourism Industry on the Example of Bavaria: Economic Potential and State Subsidies

This bachelor thesis deals with the tourist industry in the Free State of Bavaria. The text focuses on the importance of the tourist industry on Bavarian economy. The role of state subsidies is discussed too. Bavaria is often called the number one tourist destination in Germany. This state of the Federal Republic of Germany ranks among popular year-round tourists destination thanks to the variety of tourist attractions and wide range of tourist services. The official marketing platform of Bavarian tourism is represented by Bayern Tourism Marketing GmbH. This agency is supported by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology. The agency creates various concepts and product lines which specialize in meeting the concrete demands of various tourists - families with children, seniors and students. Bavarian tourism constitutes an important part of the Bavarian economy besides other things over 500,000 people is employed there. In 2010, Bavaria welcomed 28 million tourists. Nowadays, tourist industry is influenced by globalization, environmental changes and increasing average age of population.
Current understanding of the sacredness and rituals

The work focuses on understanding the concept of the sacredness and the importance of rituals in contemporary family. It shows how the sacredness is understood by pupils at primary school compared to high school students and what the role of sacredness in their current and future lives is. The author handles the theoretical part on the basis of literature and a practical part is based on questionnaires distributed to students of primary and secondary schools. The aim is to handle the sacred topic from different perspectives and compare different approaches and opinions of students at this topic. The result is a detailed overview of the topics in the curriculum within it is possible to teach the sacred topics in those classes. The author will respect the principles of professional work and regularly consult with the supervisor.
Russian and Czech Folk Traditions at Christmas Time

The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis and detailed description of the basic holidays of the civil year in winter period of time. It also contains the study of the most popular folk traditions, religious rituals and beliefs of the Slavs from Advent till Christmastide or Christmas season. The historical background of the adoption of Christianity in the territory of the Czech Republic and Russia and the way how Christian church influenced on the origin of fundamental traditions and rituals has also been taken into consideration. There is also a description of the way the major Slavonic holidays are held. The thesis deals with such religious and secular holidays as Christmas, Advent, New Year, Christmas season, Epiphany and other traditional holidays.
Holidays and traditions in the process of integration of the Vietnamese minority in the Czech Republic - case study Vyšší Brod

This thesis will research, as its main theme, the integration of the Vietnamese minority in the Czech Republic. The author will use Migrant Policy Integration Index (MIPEX) and briefly describe the tools and intentions of the integration policy of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic. The work will focus on the role of holidays and traditions in maintaining an awareness of the cultural identity of the Vietnamese minority in the Czech Republic. The author will analyze relevant scientific literature on this topic, and then try to confront this situation by interviewing Vietnamese in Vyšší Brod in South Bohemia. The author will also try to determine how these Vietnamese families approach holidays and traditions common in the Czech Republic.
Leisure time facilities of the Czech postal service and its further utilization

Bachelor thesis is focused on selected leisure time facilities of Czech postal service and a perspective of its further use. The theoretical part containts an explanation of the meaning, terminology and the categorization of the leisure time facilities. Next, it describes basic information about Czech postal service's facilities, their amount, structure and administration. Information about corporate regulations are also included in this part. The first half of practical part focuses on economical indicators such as frequency of utilization, operating costs, revenues and profit. The second half of this part is dedicated to an analysis of selected facilities, a calculation and evaluation of profitability and draft of a concept.
