Changes in reproductive behaviour within the second demographic transition in the selected european countries Abstract The aim of this work is to analyze the changes in reproductive behavior within the second demographic transition in five countries of Europe. The Czech Republic, Estonia, The Netherlands, Finland and Portugal were selected. Each of them represents one of trajectories of the second demographic transition in the European region. Within theoretical concept of the second demographic transition the research of cultural factors was particularly stressed as they are considered to be the main factors of stimulation of the changes. Attention was focused on the analysis of value orientation of selected populations using data of the European Values Study (EVS) and the International Social Survey (ISSP). Analysis of reproductive behavior in those countries was included as well. It was found out, that changes in value orientation in the post-communistic countries couldn't have been the only determinant of changes in reproductive behavior. Moreover, the value change has been still taking place even in the countries where the second demographic transition started three or four decades ago. Generation differences and their impact on value orientation and work attitudes

The thesis deals with the impact of generation differences on value orientation and work attitudes. The main question of the work is into what extent are values and work attitudes of people working in same profession influenced by the generational background, the social conditions or by the individual characteristics. The theoretical part of this thesis outlines the meaning, descent and importance of the key words. Also the fact that value orientations and work attitudes relate to the generational background of individuals and other social or individual dispositons is mentioned. In another section of the theoretical part of the thesis research methods of values and attitudes are described, as well as two probably most significant research in this area, World Values Survey and European Values Study. The next part of the thesis was drafted as an empirical probe concentrating on teaching profession only. The aim of the probing was to define how much are values and work attitudes among the teachers influenced by the generational background and how much by the other dispositions. The results do not verify the influence of generational background. Transmission of values in the family

Thesis is concerned with the transmission of values and norms in the family. The goal is to quantify the level of transmission of values between children and parents. The second step is to identify what impact on transmission of value in the family has education of parents and parenting style, which apply to a child during adolescence. Underpinning the findings is the analysis of data file "Cultural and value orientations 2008", which is unique in that it includes real families (parents and their adult children). Attention is focused on the values for different levels of generality (the value frameworks, value orientations, attitudes and norms) and education in the family as a source of values. Analysis shows a high degree of agreement between parents and their children in the sphere of values. As the main variables that affect the transmission of values were identified education of parents and parenting style.
Value orientations and experiencing the meaning of life of people living without a partner

This bachelor's thesis deals with perception problems of life values of people living without a partner. The theoretical part is focused on summarizing of theoretical findings related to these problems. The general characteristics of early adulthood and related developmental tasks of life period given are clarified here, as well as the theoretical definition of the meaning of life, life values and its categorization. Last but not least it deals with the field of relations and its attributes like affiliation, intimacy and perception of self-concept. The goal in the practical part is to answer research targets concerning meanings of life without a partner, perception of meaning of life and related definition of scales of values. Even before the beginning of the quantitative research, a pilot study with two respondents, who subsequently didn't participate in the research, was carried out. The method of the research chosen is a semi-structured interview and a modified list of values adopted from Smékal (2002). The research was implemented in cooperation with four respondents at the ages of 20-30 years, the special-purpose collection according to specified criteria was chosen as the method of the data collection.
Value orientations and perceiving of meaning in life by Jehovah´s Witnesses

This thesis is concerned with the research of values, value orientations and perceiving meaning in life by members of the Jehovah´s Witnesses religious community. It´s goal is to identify, which values recognise Jehovah´s Witnesses and how do they perceive meaning in life. In theoretical part is characterized this religious community and described values, value orientations and meaning in life as a psychological and other social sciences phenomena. In empirical part are observed values and meaning in life of 4 research participants - Jehovah´s Witnesses. Research was realized in a qualitative design, using methods of Grounded Theory and using semi-structured interview as a technique of data collection. On the basis of data analysis are presented recognized values and perceiving meaning in life by Jehovah´s Witnesses.
View of value orientation of modern early adolescents

This thesis examines the values and value orientations of contemporary adolescents aged 18 and 19 years. Its character is theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part focuses on a brief description of adolescence in terms of developmental psychology. It also involves the specific issue of current adolescent theory and discusses the concepts of values, value orientation, typology and hierarchy of life values. The empirical part describes the implementation of the survey, processing the collected data and presents the results obtained. The aim is to compare, describe and evaluate the value systems of final grade students of fine different secondary school and also give a brief look at their life values and attitudes.
The Valuable Orientation of Pubescents

The dissertation deals with formalization a value orientation in pubescence in a relationship with internet use. The general angle of the dissertation is theoretic, the most methods that are used are descriptive methods and partly relational methods. The general structure of the dissertation is divided to four basic chapters. First chapter defines terms of attitudes and values from the philosophic, psychologic, sociologic and pedagogic perspective. The second chapter deals with a pubescence phase, its difficulties from the viewpoint of formalization of a value orientation. The third chapter is focused on internet and there are generally mentioned eventual effects resulting from its use. The fourth chapter finally summarises the foregoing chapters with the accent on formalizing a value orientation in pubescence in a relationship with internet use.
Professional rescuer´s experience of their job fulfilment

The profession of a rescuer is considered to be as one of the most dangerous, due to extreme physical and psychical stress. It is generally assumed that the quality of the work is, besides other factors, relevant to what the staff feel, whether they feel satisfaction or frustration in their work. The above mentioned satisfaction is rooted in the sense of the work. Different levels of motivation are determined by different approaches. The aim of the thesis is monitoring the character of experience referring to the sense of South Bohemian firebrigade{\crq}s work, to their value systems, to their motivations to work and their abilities to cope with extreme stresses of their work.
