Urban study of developing area Dolní Vítkovice

The object of this Thesis is an area adjacent to European heritage site of Dolni Vitkovice, in the city of Ostrava, Moravian-Silesian Region. This work focuses on making the area more accessible by all means of transportation, overcoming natural and man-made barriers as well as exploring the possibility of dense development on the site while maintaining its industrial identity. All that in context of otherwise slowly shrinking post-industrial city with aging and declining urban population.

The Proposal for the Development Strategy of a Small Mobile Coffee Shop

The diploma thesis is focused on the proposal of potential future development of the family coffee truck. The theoretical part handles problematics of development and growth of the small companies including selected analytical and research methods that examine internal and external environment of the company. Analytical part contains the practical application of analytical methods and marketing research in order to find a data and information for future decision and selection of the appropriate strategy. The last part of the thesis is focused on the results of the provided analyzes and recomends the most suitable strategy to strengthen company´s position in the market. The proposals are processed into the implementation of the proposed actions, including an assessment of the benefits and risks.

Development strategy of the selected school

The diploma thesis focuses on the area of strategic management of a selected educational organization, which is a vocational school. In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis, attention is paid to the theoretical basis, that is the field of education, management in a broader context and strategic management with specifics in education. The diploma thesis also focuses on the selected educational organization and its characteristics, and the general specifics of special schools. The research part analyzes the current state of management of the organization and using interviews and a questionnaire survey information is obtained to meet the goal of the thesis, to compile a development strategy for a selected organization. The aim of the thesis is to develop a draft strategy for the development of the selected school, based on an analysis of the current state of school management using the results of a questionnaire survey and interviews and in connection with the strategic documents of the educational policy of the Czech Republic, including the use of the results of projects developed at the national level for the issue under investigation. First, it defines and explains the basic concepts related to the problem. It focuses in more detail on the specifics of family businesses and a description of individual strategic analyzes. The information obtained is used to process a strategic analysis, the results of which lead to the design of a development strategy and further direction of the company in order to strengthen its position in the market.

Tourism development in the Western Ukraine

This diploma thesis deals with the tourism development in the region of Western Ukraine. The good reason for the analysis of the Western Ukraine is the fact that the part of a region (Podkarpatská Rus) belonged to our state territory in a part of our history but an awareness of the tourism potential has not been deeply analysed yet. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to process a tourism development strategy for the Western Ukraine. A partial goal is a categorization of individual destinations of the Western Ukraine in-to the Butler cycle. The initial part contains theoretical frames for this thesis. The Western region of Ukraine is specified in the Methods chapter. Qualitative and quantitative methods are used for analyses. I received important statistical figures during a communication with representative of the State Statistics Committee of the Ukraine. I analyse foreign arrivals flows to the Ukraine and to the Western Ukraine region. Further the diploma thesis is divided into two parts. Firstly I analyse a capacity of the Ukraine tourism. Zoos within the structure and functioning of European cities

The main topic of this bachelor thesis is a comparison of a Brno city and a Zoo Brno, as representatives of European cities and zoos, regarding their structure, functioning, operation, their mutual influence and cooperation. The thesis deals with certain features that occur in urban and zoo structures and with the demonstration of individual analyses. These include, for example, analyses of planning development documentation, transport infrastructure, management and financing methods, engineering networks, or public space amenities. Evaluation of these analyses will reveal whether zoos and cities have the same, similar or completely different structure. The introductory part of the thesis deals with the origin of zoos, their development, common factors, contexts, and their influence on the structure of many European cities.

The diploma thesis deals with evaluation of the current state of the Vinotéka Rek family business and results in a strategy of its further development. The first theoretical part is based on the theoretical backgrounds focusing on the development and growth of entrepreneurship in particular small and family businesses, the context of strategic management within the development of companies and also on selected analytical and research methods that examine the internal, external and market environment of the company. The second, analytical part of the thesis contains the practical application of the methods to the selected company, the identification of key factors and impacts on the company and the evaluation of the overall results for the subsequent selection of the appropriate development variant. Third, the part of proposals builds on the results of the analyzes and processes the selected variant of the development strategy, including the implementation steps and the benefits of the proposals.
