Hlavním tématem této bakalářské práce je porovnání města Brna a brněnské zoologické zahrady, jakožto zástupců evropských měst a zoologických zahrad, ohledně jejich struktur, fungování, provozu, vzájemného ovlivňování a spolupráce. Práce se zabývá určitými rysy, které se vyskytují ve strukturách měst a zoologických zahrad a provedením jednotlivých analýz. Mezi ně patří například analýzy plánovací rozvojové dokumentace, dopravní infrastruktury, způsobu řízení a financování, inženýrských sítí, nebo analýza vybavenosti veřejného prostoru. Vyhodnocení těchto analýz odhalí, jestli jsou zoologické zahrady a města svojí strukturou podobné, stejné, nebo zcela rozdílné. V úvodní části se práce věnuje původu zoologických zahrad, jejich vývoji, společným faktorům, souvislostem a jejich vlivu na podobu struktur mnoha evropských městech. The main topic of this bachelor thesis is a comparison of a Brno city and a Zoo Brno, as representatives of European cities and zoos, regarding their structure, functioning, operation, their mutual influence and cooperation. The thesis deals with certain features that occur in urban and zoo structures and with the demonstration of individual analyses. These include, for example, analyses of planning development documentation, transport infrastructure, management and financing methods, engineering networks, or public space amenities. Evaluation of these analyses will reveal whether zoos and cities have the same, similar or completely different structure. The introductory part of the thesis deals with the origin of zoos, their development, common factors, contexts, and their influence on the structure of many European cities.
