Design and Implementation of an OLAP Data Cube
Hurdálek, Pavel ; Smejkal, Milan (referee) ; Hruška, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the creation of a data OLAP cube for the purpose of analyzing big data. The process is shown when creating a cube containing data from the university's admissions process (specifically Brno University of Technology). The data is processed by the commercial tool Business Warehouse from the German company SAP, the cube visualization itself takes place in the program Excel using the Analysis extension. The result of this work is an OLAP cube, which can be used to create analyses of the university's admission procedure and obtain data to fill in the relevant section of the annual activity report.
Analysing and Visualizing Statistical Linked Data
Helmich, Jiří ; Nečaský, Martin (advisor) ; Klímek, Jakub (referee)
The thesis describes several means of processing statistical data in the ambience of Linked Data and is in particular focused on the utilization of Data Cube Vocabulary metaformat. Its content offers a description of tools related to analysis and visualization of RDF data not only from the statistical view. An indivisible part of this work is the depiction of the Payola tool on whose development is the author still working on. The outcome of this thesis is mainly proposal and consequential implementation of the system that enables a conversion of RDF data in compliance with the DCV vocabularies. The designed system was implemented and integrated to the Payola application. Several other extensions of the system were also implemented by the author. Within the scope of the implementation process there are mentioned also limitations arising from the integration with Payola. In the conclusion the writer describes a few experiments where some of the chosen datasets were applied to the implemented system. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
ALVAO Service Desk Data Analysis and Reporting
Václavík, Marek ; Novák, Lukáš (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of the current state of reporting and data analysis of the ALVAO Service Desk system in the company's internal operation. Based on the findings of deficiencies, a new method of reporting and data analysis on the Microsoft Power BI platform is proposed. The proposal includes the entire Power BI feature cycle from data accessing to sharing.

Application for Displaying OLAP Data Cubes
Kiss, Tomáš ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
The main aim of this thesis is to provide information about the basic issues of data warehouses, data cubes and OLAP analysis. Furthermore, in the theoretical part is introduced the stage of data preprocessing and its elementary parts performed before their insertion in to data warehouses. Additionally, there are listed the basic types of OLAP operations and the possible ways of displaying data cubes. Acquired information is used to create application for displaying OLAP data cubes in suitable format.
OLAP Recommender
Koukal, Bohuslav ; Chudán, David (advisor) ; Vojíř, Stanislav (referee)
Manual data exploration in data cubes and searching for potentially interesting and useful information starts to be time-consuming and ineffective from certain volume of the data. In my thesis, I designed, implemented and tested a system, automating the data cube exploration and offering potentially interesting views on OLAP data to the end user. The system is based on integration of two data analytics methods - OLAP analysis data visualisation and data mining, represented by GUHA association rules mining. Another contribution of my work is a research of possibilities how to solve differences between OLAP analysis and association rule mining. Implemented solutions of the differences include data discretization, dimensions commensurability, design of automatic data mining task algorithm based on the data structure and mapping definition between mined association rules and corresponding OLAP visualisation. The system was tested with real retail sales data and with EU structural funds data. The experiments proved that complementary usage of the association rule mining together with OLAP analysis identifies relationships in the data with higher success rate than the isolated use of both techniques.

Business Intelligence Solutions
Dzimko, Miroslav ; Achimský,, Karol (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
Diploma thesis presents an evaluation of the current state of the company system, identification of critical areas and areas suitable for improvement. Based on the theoretical knowledge and analysis results, commercial Business Intelligence software is designed to enhance the quality and efficiency of the company's decision-support system and the introduction of an advanced Quality Culture system. The thesis reveals critical locations in the corporate environment and opens up space to design improvements to the system.
Monitoring and Profiling Solution for the BI System
Veselovský, Matej ; Bednář, Luboš (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis focuses on monitoring and profiling multidimensional database and reports. The project was created in MS SSIS to this purpose and it contains 4 ETL packages. The thesis is divided into three main sections. First section consists of theoretical background needed to accomplish the goal. In second section there is analysis of the company for which is the solution created and in the third part of the thesis there is described the proposal and it’s solution. Proposal of the solution and the solution itself was created in MS Visual Studio 2015, MS SQL Management Studio and Power BI.
