Predictive software for Earth collision with Near Eartch Objects
Stopka, Jiří ; Daněk, Vladimír (referee) ; Bartoněk, Jaroslav (advisor)
Aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to research and discuss the basics of orbital mechanics and their application on a real problem. The application of orbital mechanics is made by creating a software for predicting Earth’s collision with Near-Earth Objects in Borland Delphi 7 development enviroment. The created software should be able to predict close approaches of Earth and Near-Earth Objects in a time scale selected by user and issue a warning in case of a dangerous close approach.
"Too cool to pretend to care"
Vinklárková, Tereza ; Remešová, Anna (referee) ; Sterec, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of the project is to capture the consumer attitude of society, the millennial culture, fake news, as well as planetary and social changes. It presents a stylized post-ironic statement of mostly narcissistic millennials, whose social platforms have become the main platform for expression, forcing us to reflect on the variety of information we are surrounded by and the need of its selection. It also opens the discussion about the phenomenon of denying the existence of climate change visible through the absurd arguments and the phenomenon of geoengineering, targeted human interventions in natural processes, primarily to permanently or at least temporarily cool the planet.
Emotional Cartography
Rygálová, Monika ; Pfeiffer, Jan (referee) ; Sterec, Pavel (advisor)
The work aims to artistically compile perception of maps as a fact, what let us think about The world - how we know it from the map. I work with data, which I gain by displaying technology – eye tracking, which helps me to record track of moving eyes during watching any kind of picture. The observations will be people from different places such a place of stay etc. Gained data I am going to use as a study, which I will componate to maps and different vizualizations of world, countries etc. "Where i have not ever been before, it does not exist" – is idea of percepting world, wich I also work with on that project. Study will contain all aspect of perceiving maps and systematicly shown world related to the person, his memories to that place, fyzical contact and his impact in his scale person versus a the world.
Interactive application for teaching the topic of the Earth as a planet
Černík, Václav ; Křížek, Marek (advisor) ; Houfková, Jitka (referee)
Interactive application for teaching the topic of the Earth as a planet Abstract The thesis is focused on the creation of an interactive application for teaching the topic of the Earth as a planet at secondary schools. The theoretical part generally deals with digital technologies for teaching, educational applications and pedagogical-psychological aspects of the subject. The topic was defined and analyzed using curriculum documents, textbooks and school atlases. Based on the analysis, partial topics were selected and turned into an application that covers separate learning objects. 8 learning objects were created ("Distances and dimensions", "Earth's orbit", "Seasons", "Solar time", "Moon phases", "Solar and Lunar eclipses", "Orbiting around the barycenter", "Tidal phenomena") and 4 learning objects were taken ("Solar System", "Earth's shape - geoid", "Time zones", "Future eclipses"). Each learning object has been provided with its theoretical introduction and methodological questions and tasks. The final educational application will be available on the Internet as a web application, without the need for installation. Keywords: educational application, interactivity, teaching Geography, the Solar System, the Earth, the Moon
INTRINSICAL SCENERY: THE SYMBOL IN EARLY POETRY OF VÁCLAV RENČ VIEWED THROUGH BREMOND'S POESIE PURE THEORY
Hübnerová, Radka ; Wiendl, Jan (advisor) ; Vojvodík, Josef (referee)
The thesis analyzes and interprets selected landscape motifs corresponding with biblical symbols in the first three collections of poetry of catholic author Václav Renč. The aim of this thesis is to give an opinion on my hypothesis that biblical symbol is a competent way of interpretation Bremond's pure poetry, and to evaluate the competence of Renč's poetry belonging to the concept of pure poetry. Also defining the limits of pure poetry through a comparison with the fourth Renč's collection which already shows significant changes in it's poetics. The theoretical part is focused on contemporary and modern literary-scientific views on Václav Renč's work, on the concept of poetry provided by Bremond, his reception in our backround and the role of the symbol in pure poetry. The thesis methodologically works with the symbol in connection with Zdeněk Mathauser's theory of a circle symbol that best corresponds with Bremond's understanding of poetry and is considered as the essential base of the theory of pure poetry. The practical part discusses the crucial landscape symbols (earth, flower and fruit, bush and tree) in single collections based on biblical interpretation and then describes their transformation in each of them. The conclusion of the confrontation with the next and at the same time the...
Astropolitics of extraterrestrial bodies within Solar system
Doboš, Bohumil ; Romancov, Michael (advisor) ; Kofroň, Jan (referee)
The work deals with geopolitics of inner solar system with focus on extraterrestrial celestial bodies. First part deals with definitions, delimitation of researched territory, and definition of researched questions. Afterwards, we deal with basics of astrophysics which is necessary precondition for understanding specifics of astropolitics and the issue of space- faring actors. Here, both state and non-state actors, their capacities and ability to become colonizing actor, are assessed. The work continues with exploration of single celestial bodies - Earth's Moon, Mars and its moons, and smaller bodies like asteroids. The final chapter scratches the issues crucial for space colonization such as sovereignty and weaponization. Based on these factors, few models of space colonization are presented. Conclusion then sums up all our findings and geopolitical map of "blue planet's" neighbourhood is presented.
Earth as a dynamic body
Dlask, Martin ; Čížková, Hana (advisor) ; Drozd, Zdeněk (referee)
This thesis is devoted to teachers and students of high schools. Its purpose is to deepen the knowledge that students may gain during geography lessons and to relate it to the information obtained during lessons of physics taught in high schools. The aim of this thesis is to introduce the most recent problematic of geophysics to students and to briefly explain the effects of physical laws, which they may encounter. This work is mainly focused on the description of the interior structure of the Earth, the Wave propagation thru the Earth, the heat movement of heat within the Earth and the rise of the magnetic field of the Earth. This thesis is divided into two parts, the first part is composed by study scripts in which are summed up and explained the geophysical findings about the Earth. For pedagogical purposes, physical findings that are needed to understand this thesis are also repeated and explained. The second part consists of a included presentation in PDF format that serves as medium for presentations about the Earth for teachers. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
