Basic Firearms Training for The Police of the Czech Republic

Title: Basic Firearms Training for The Police of the Czech Republic Objectives: The objective of the thesis is to elaborate on basic firearms and shooting technique training within the scope of the basic training course of the Police of the Czech Republic. Methods: The fundamental methods used in the thesis are the data collection method, applied not only for studying literature, but also in the subsequent selection of professional experience and knowledge. Another method is the analysis method, used for expert evaluation, verification, the quantitative, material, as well as interpretative and comparative analysis. Another basic scientific method is applied, for the purpose of describing basic methodological and tactical procedures and also creating a set of preparatory training sessions. The method is referred to as information synthesis. Results: The output of the thesis is creating a complex view of the issue concerning firearms training for the Police of the Czech Republic according to today's methodology, tasks and objectives laid on this education course. Production process for a replica of a historic firearm

This thesis deals with the production of a prototype pistol with a wheel mechanism. In the theoretical part the history is described together with the terminology focused on firearms up to the 17th century. This is followed by a demonstration of the design of the gun in the software version and a demonstration of the machines that were used for the production of the prototype. The practical part describes the production process of some components needed to make the pistol mechanism, together with the overall evaluation of the final product.
Electromagnetic recoil system for simulated weapons

Main goal of this work is to analyze the feasibility of an electromagnetic recoil simulator on weapon replicas. The thesis explains the basic function of self-loading firearms based on the HK 416 weapon and then the concept of recoil and its meaning. Lists today's recoil compensation options. It then defines possible electromagnetic solutions as a replacement for the existing pneumatic recoil system. Some posibble solutions mentions DC motor, solenoid, linear motor and railgun as possible. The thesis lists DC motor, solenoid, linear motor and railgun as possible solutions. The best solution is a tubular linear motor combined with a power supply containing Li-pol batteries.

Constitutional law questions of weapons ownership with a focus on the Czech Republic Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the issue of ownership and disposal of weapons by civilians in the context of constitutional law with the aim of presenting the reader with a complex basis for understanding the individual institutes related to this topic. The primary focus of this thesis is the area of firearms disposal as a central point of the social debate on this issue. The thesis is divided into seven chapters, each of which is devoted to a different systematic unit. The first chapter is devoted to the definition of the term "weapon" by comparing the concept of this term across different branches of law and making a division of different types of weapons based on their partial characteristics. The second chapter will take the reader through the history of the legal regulation of weapons in our territory, which has been reflected in the current legal concept of weapons in the Czech Republic. Following this, the third chapter describes the current legal regulation of the handling of weapons by civilians in the Czech Republic, especially considering the events of the last two decades. Forensic ballistics Abstract The topic of this thesis is forensic ballistics, a technical forensic method, examining firearms, ammunition and other conditions of committing a crime using a firearms for criminalistic purposes. This thesis focuses on placing forensic ballistics in the general context of criminalistics, criminal law and international aspects. For this purpose is this thesis divided into three main parts. The first part deals with forensic ballistics as one of technical forensic methods. Attention will be paid to the definition of forensic ballistics, placing forensic ballistics into the system of criminalistics and areas of forensic ballistics. Particular objects of forensic ballistic examination, especially specific tangible and intangible assets examined by forensic ballistics, will be presented. According to objects of forensic ballistic examination will also be presented the issue of ballistic traces. Particular sections of forensic ballistic examination will be defined at the end of the first part. The second part is focused on procedural aspects of forensic ballistics, especially its connection with other forensic sciences and methods of criminalistics and criminal procedural law. TITLE: Technique: cutting weapons in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries - art and war AUTHOR: Petr Krajíc DEPARTMENT: Institute for professional development, faculty of education SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Helena Kafková ABSTRACT The target of the thesis is to present cold weapons not just as means of hunt, everyday use, but also as an attribute of the worrior art and to present reasons and changes, that lead to continual retirement of cold weapons to marginal possition. I study relevant concepts and sketch various dimensions that a weapon has under the changing circumstances. The thematic part of the work is devoted to cold weapons of the period of Habsburc monarchy. I present, in six chapters, basic patterns of use and kinds of cold weapons, described chronologically in concord with their history. I also study the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic. The major contribution of the thesis is acquiring basic knowledge from history, technical development and also the reasons of various changes and presentation of the weapon as artifact of its individual value. The axe in the Early Middle Ages as a tool, weapon and symbol of the social status

The topic of this thesis is processing of finds of early medieval axes from areas of Moravia and Bohemia, based on accessible publications and is fully supported by this processing in a mater of crafting, but mainly in a matter combat and symbolic use of this versatile tool. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the reader to basic types of Slavic axes, their manufacturing and occurrence in particular localities, but mainly with the context of discovery circumstances and its interpretation with the relations to life of early medieval man. In a small extent, a statement of existing iconographic and written sources is used, mainly in questions that are not sufficiently known from archeological finds and situations.
Weapon (not only) as a work of art

The aim of this thesis is to introduce various types of weapons, not only as objects of everyday use, but also as objects which are of high artistic value. The aim is to introduce the phenomenon of arms not only as objects, which are designed for different types of practical applications, but also as a fine art and artifacts with the aesthetic and functional value. The main method for the production of this thesis was to study literature and other texts, or materials related to the given topic. The thesis is divided into several chapters by type of weapon (cold, firearms) and by continents, where the weapons occurred. Then I focused my research on the phenomenon of arms in the film industry, and the question of arms and related violence and also the issue of preventing violence, bullying and crime. Some people said the weapon had a magic power, according to others it wasn't difficult to recognize their owner. A long time ago the typical weapon was a sword which the kings and knights used to show their power. The sword as the most important weapon of medieval fighter, was very efficient and it was used for fighting at close range. The sword wasn't only the symbol of war but also the sign of prior role in society. But we can't only see the sword as a weapon. Sovereigners handed over the sword to each other as a symbol of reign leaving. The sword was a symbol of faith at the time of crusade when its shape was taken as a cross.
