The differences in physiotherapy after implantation of total hip and knee joint replacement
KOLBABOVÁ, Petra
This bachelor thesis deals with physiotherapy after the implantation of total hip and total knee replacement. The structure of the thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part there is an anatomical build of the hip and knee joint, it also includes a description of movements that can be performed in the joints. Next subchapter is devoted to total hip and total knee replacement - types, indications and contraindications to their implantation or possible genesis of complications after these orthopedic operations. The specifics of rehabilitation of total joint replacement of the mentioned joints are sequentially described. The work also acquaints with various physiotherapeutic methods and concepts which are used in the postoperative phase of rehabilitation. The last section of the theoretical part contains a description of physical therapy options that can be used as a part of physiotherapy. The qualitative research method was used to process the practical part of the thesis. The research group consisted of two patients after total hip replacement and the same number of patients were observed after replacement of the knee joint in the posthospitalization phase of rehabilitation while they were staying at the Hamza Treatment Centre in Luže - Košumberk. Observations, semi-structured interview and kinesiological analyse (input and output) were used for obtaining the dates. Then the dates were analyzed and completed by a description of the course of the therapies throughout the patient´s staying in the rehabilitation facility. After that all the dates were processed in the form of case reports and evaluated. The bachelor thesis can serve as a comprehensive overview of common and different features in physiotherapy after the implantation of total hip and total knee replacement. It is intended for both physiotherapists and the general public.
Comparison of knee joint proprioception in patients with osteoarthritis and total knee arthroplasty
Valerová, Eliška ; Lepšíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Čech, Zdeněk (referee)
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease of joints, which can be solved with implantation of total joints prosthesis. A high-quality proprioception of knee joint protects the joint against possible bending injury, it is also participating in stabilizing the knee in static position and it is important in the process of coordination of the motion system and precise flexibility of the knee joint. In this thesis are summed up the knowledge of osteoarthritis, total joints prosthesis and proprioception, all is taken in context of connection. The research includes comparison of proprioception of knee joint with arthrosis and total joints prosthesis. Also, the research compared mentioned knee joints with the healthy verification group. All monitored individuals absolved a medical examination of the quality of proprioception in the form of move sensitivity in position of 30ř, 50ř and 80ř. Amongst the knees with arthrosis and knees with total joints prosthesis there were not found a differences with static importance in each of the angle test. In the total comparison there was significantly better proprioception of the knees with the total joints prosthesis. The knee joints of the verification group unlike the joints with arthrosis and total prosthesis showed significantly better flexibility in position of...

Title: Case report of physiotherapist's patient care with the diagnosis: condition after surgery for total endoprotesthesis of the right knee joint Objectives: The aim of this paper is to get to know both theoretically and practically the diagnosis status after total knee arthroplasty. Methods: The first part of this work includes theoretical area by research. This section describes the anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of the knee joint. The issue of gonarthrosis and its treatment. Then there is the more developed surgical approach, the application causes a total joint replacement prosthesis type, and physical therapy after surgery procedures that are appropriate to a positive effect on patients' health. The second part of this work is special - processed form of case reports. This part is based on theoretical knowledge acquired during studies, and their application in clinical practice. It contains entrance kinesiological analysis and conclusion, on the basis of which is developed short-term and long-term rehabilitation plan. In addition, this special section includes a description of individual therapeutic units and a final evaluation of the effect of therapy. Keywords: knee joint, total joint replacement, rehabilitation

Jurková, Magdalena ; Novotná, Irena (advisor) ; Vosmíková, Simona (referee)
Title: Case report of therapeutic care of patient after total knee replacement. Objectives: The aim of this work is to demonstrate both theoretical and practical information to the subject of total knee replacement. Showing on one side the therapeutic care of patient after total knee replacement and presenting on the other side the summary of theoretical knowledge about the topic of knee joint and total joint replacements. Methods: This study is divided into two main parts. The first part is theoretical and deals with the subject of knee joint seen from the anatomical, kinesiological, biomechanical and orthopedical perspective. Furthermore it contains basic information to the issue of knee replacements, their most common indications, possible complications and subsequent therapeutic methods and techniques after total knee replacement. The second part is a special section which shows in detail a case report of therapeutic care with patient after total knee replacement. It was established under the guidance of a private healthcare facility MediCentrum Praha during my university-internship . The case report includes patients anamnesis, an input kinesiology analysis, a short-term and long-term therapeutic plan, a detailed description of the course of therapy, a resulting kinesiology analysis and an...

Comparison of Movement Activity and Sport between Patients after Resurfacing and Total Hip Replacement Surgery
Heidenreichová, Ivana ; Nováková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Levitová, Andrea (referee)
6 Abstract Title: Comparison of Movement Activity and Sport between Patients after Resurfacing and Total Hip Replacement Surgery Objectives: To summarize the available information about after-surgery regime and self- sufficiency after total hip replacement. To accent the differences between resurfacing and total hip replacement. To obtain the information about sport behavior and movement activity of patients after resurfacing and total hip surgery using questionnaire survey. To find out if they are able to return back to sport sctivity and how much do the total hip replacement limits them, to find out how the pain influences their movement activity. To compare the movement activity of patients after resurfacing with patients after total hip surgery. Methods: Thesis is worked out using quality assessment of information obtained by empiric way - using questionnaire survey. Results are processed using MS Excel into charts and graphs. Results: The objective of clear justification of advantages of hip resurfacing as a surgery method providing early return to movement activity has not been met. However the results cannot be simply generalized because of limited amount of respondents. Keywords: hip, total joint replacement, movement activity, sport
Information for patients about the treatment mode after hip surgery - Total joint replacement
Ondráčková, Eva ; Nikodemová, Hana (advisor) ; Tomová, Šárka (referee)
My bachelor thesis called "Patients' knowledge of therapeutic mode after surgery of hip joint - total endoprosthesis" deals with a problem of education of patients in case of mode after surgery on Orthopaedic department in St. Zdislava hospital in Mostiště. A theoretic part is focused on summary of findings about hip joint, causes of surgery, types of endoprosthesis, preoperative and postoperative cares, rehabilitation and potential complications after surgery of hip joint. In a practical part, there is introduced a method of research on Orthopaedic department, whose aim is to get into degree of patients' knowing, form of education and simple keeping of preventive measures. In a conclusion of my thesis the results of research and assessment of research acquisiton into practice are summarized.

Horňas, Jan ; Borák, Libor (referee) ; Marcián, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with total joint replacements (TJR) applied for replacement of temporomandibular joint (TMJ). In the thesis, research study of solutions system is done for anatomy of TMJ, mandible and masticatory muscles. Main producers and ma-terials for manufacturing TJR is mentioned furthermore. Finally, stress strain analysis for TJR is done by computing modeling using finite element method on the basis of re-search study.
