Stepper motor control using CPLD
Daněk, Jan ; Kolouch, Jaromír (referee) ; Kováč, Michal (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor thesis was the control of CPLD stepper motor. To create a radio controlled antenna rotator. The controlling is done by a computer using RF circuits. The thesis includes a construction and principles of stepper motor. Basic structures of CPLD circuits were applying to create the control circuit. The possibilities of sensing the position and the data storage circuit were discussed. The control program in VHDL was implemented in development boards. The development board is connected to radio receiver circuit and the stepper motor driver. A transmitting board was connected to a personal computer or other device using RS232 interface. Printed circuit boards for transmitter and receiver circuits were created. The PC program was designed for data transmission. The program sends data and communicates via RS232 interface.
Autonomous generator of test scripts
Horký, Stanislav ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Kolouch, Jaromír (advisor)
The subject of this master thesis are state machines and their testing. To this purpose, an application is described, which is able to test these state machines autonomously. Application have two parts, first generator and editor of data is built and second part is testing procedure, which is able to test state machines in question and to give corresponding test report.
Software for control of mass spectrometer and deposition interface
Ertl, Lukáš ; Andrš, Ondřej (referee) ; Houška, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and implementation of control applications for the deposition interface and mass spectrometer. The paper describes the working principle of these devices and their hardware specifications. It also describes how the design and the conception of the application. Developed applications are tested on real devices at the end.
Universal LED Source for testing of the light guide properties
Feilhauer, Jaromír ; Chmela, Ondřej (referee) ; Novák, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of the LED source for testing the properties of light guides of car headlights. The thesis mainly includes the theory of the DC - DC converters, their categorization and the basic properties of the individual types of circuits. The design part is focused on the selection of the required chips. The importance of the chip as the basic description, characteristics and calculations of the values associated components are included. Then it follows with the design of the circuit diagram and the printed circuit, software and communication packet development and measurement results of real sample.
Development and implementation of software environment for human-robot communication
Ondryáš, Adam ; Bastl, Michal (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with a creation of software interface for communication between a user and a robotic system. State machine with a built-in voice synthesis was made within this work as well as user interface for interaction with a robotic system.
Noise meter and sound detector
Jedlička, Petr ; Novák, Marek (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
This work deals with design and construction of a noise meter, which measures sound pressure level. The device can be set either for weighting filter A or for weighting filter C considering the characteristics of human hearing, the device also allows two modes, fast and slow, depending on the rate of changes of sound pressure level. It tis possible to send measured data to a PC through a measuring application. The noise meter can be powered either by three AA batteries or by a PC through USB interface. The noise meter can be controlled by voice commands.
Castle Defense Mobile Game
Rivola, Michal ; Dolejška, Daniel (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to design and develop a simple game for mobile devices. Game is developed in the Unity game engine. It is a game in which the player defends his castle and improves it, researches different types of units, and then upgrading them. The game will implement gameplay elements that are unique to this genre. There is also focuse on loca- lization into different languages for greater reach to potential players. The thesis describes the design of this game as well as its implementation. The method of testing the game and subsequent publication on the Play Store is also part of the work.
Functional HIL testing of an electronic control unit
Štramberský, Jan ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Brablc, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the functional HIL testing of a universal electronic control unit. The control unit is graphically programmed in an application in which it is possible to create state machines with pre-programmed functions. Within the scope of this work, a HIL test of the unit has been created. Signals are exchanged between the unit and PC using an input/output card. The PC runs the HIL test script in Matlab. This test verifies the firmware of the unit by checking the expected behaviour of the functions and the conditions of the transitions.

Uncertainty of vehicle dimension measurement using 2D lidar
Želinský, David ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Šedivá, Soňa (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the explanation of terms such as measurement error and uncertainty of measurement. It also introduces the term LiDAR, describes its construction, how it works and what it can be used for. The information from the theoretical part of this thesis is then used to analyze the uncertainties of measuring the dimensions of vehicles using 2D LiDAR. The individual measurement uncertainties are explained and calculated on an example. Furthermore, a LabVIEW program is created, which calculates the dimensions of the vehicle and the uncertainties of these dimensions from measured data. Finally, the results of the program are compared with real dimensions. The thesis is elaborated for the company Cross Zlín.
