Analysis of supply of ERP systems for small and medium businesses delivered by SaaS in the Czech Republic

The aim of this work is the issue of Enterprise Resource Planning offered by way of Systems as a service and the suitability of this implementation for small and medium enterprises. Theoretical part describes the genesis and development of Enterprise Resource Planning, their functionality and purpose. There's also specified the term Cloud computing, its principles, advantages and disadvantages and options of distribution. One of the principles of the distribution, System as a Service is described in detail, including the necessary Service-level agreement, and its capabilities in providing Enterprise Resource Planning. The practical part of the work consists of developing a comprehensive overview of the Czech market of Enterprise Resource Planning offered in the form of rent System as a Service. This list is analyzed from the perspective of a key customer for this product, namely Small and medium enterprises. The last part of this work consists of obtaining customer references and supplier experiences from already realized projects.
Designing a web application for managing band finance and concert orders

The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to outline a solution of a web application, that would simplify the process of managing band finance and concert orders. Profound understanding of the topic will be based mainly on market research together with an observation of real processes of a Prague-based band called Hot Wings. The third chapter will present the findings in form of a business process models as well as both graphical and functional solution with a list of planned technologies. In the fourth chapter it will be followed by an outline of pricing and marketing strategy. The result of the thesis will serve as an initial research preceding a development of a real application.
Categorization of Cloud Computing Services

The thesis is focused on the introduction to issue of cloud computing and cloud computing services. The main objective is to categorization of services in accordance to several parameters, which tends as crucial factors of choosing cloud computing services. The conclusion is achieved by analyzing various cloud computing services and subsequent synthesis of the most important parameters. The results of this thesis are the definitions of relevant categories common for the distributed models of service. According to these a potential consumer may choose from provided cloud computing services. Individual categories are divided by their technological or organizational characteristics. The categories are further defined from the infrastructure-as-a-service model view. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. While the theoretical part describes basic terminology, characteristics and division of models, the practical part is defined by three sections. The first section contains the definitions of the most important categories with given parameters of distribution models. In the second section, categories from the infrastructure-as-a-service view are defined. In the last section, an analysis of globally accessible services focused on the infrastructure-as-a-service is provided.
Tools for team management support - selection of a suitable task management tool for BNM, s.r.o.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to select a suitable task management tool with regards to specific requirements of BNM, s.r.o. company. The list of requirements was compiled based on author's work experience at the particular company. Last but not least the thesis is focused on a solution of identified issues while the theoretical part explains the teamwork theory and team collaboration. Further chapters introduce SaaS oriented software distribution models. The final tool selection is done using a scoring method and WSA (Weighted Sum Product) method belonging to the multi-criteria decision methods category. The decision making proces is further described with a special attention to the selected tool - Asana. None of the considered tools was excluded due to a non-fulfilment of the selection criteria. The main contribution of the thesis is a comparison and evaluation of available task management tools and a selection of a best tool for the one particular company.
Implementation of IS for the internet travel agency

The topic of this master thesis are information systems in turism. The author focuses mostly on reservations systems as an essential information systems for travel agencies. This thesis examines such systems in the context of the Internet and the model of software as a service. The Internet has become a necessary for operating these systems and it has influenced the field as a whole. The thesis has three main chapters. The first chapter is a theoretical one, where the author investigates the mechanics of information systems in turism. He attempts to formalize information systems in general and he seeks their role in organizations. Additionally, he explains how these systems work and what functionallity can be expected from them. In the second chapter, which moves between theory and practice, the author analyzes the current market situation of these systems. Next, he defines requirements on a system tailored for one specific bussiness plan. Using these requirements multi-criteria decision analysis is performed, selecting the system which best matches the chosen criteria. The last chapter is a practical one and it is concern with deploying selected system from the previous chapter and all aspects of this process. The goal of this thesis is to realize information system part of the Internet-based travel agency project and at the same time search for theoretical conclusions about these systems. The conclusions are then compiled into methodological manual for ASW application in the Internet-based travel agencies segment.
Design and implementation of a Rezervacnik service

The main objective of this thesis is the design and the realization of the SaaS project Rezervacnik. The thesis itself consist of three parts. The first part defines the SaaS and Cloud Computing, and the establishment of basic advantages and disadvantages of SaaS services. The second part analyzes the information model of the SaaS provider. Introduce are the basic application billing and subscription software for the management of SaaS, which are researched and compared. The last part presents Rezervacnik project and defines the advantages of online booking. After finding a market assumption are designed all parts of the project. Finally, it is presented as part of the implementation.

Nowadays the new delivery model „software as a service“ is becoming an important IT application delivery model. Graduation theses has the objective to give an overview of available information about this new service, reasons for its origination and at the same time it reflects the effect of IT application delivery model on business processes and relation supplier – customer. Forceful changes in human society within recent thirty years have changed and influenced entrepreneurial environment and have caused changes in IS/ICT environment. Precipitance of changes makes it more complicated to define software as a service quite exactly. That is why the theses describes basic properties of the model and gives the definition of its characteristics. Important objective is the comparison of traditional and new delivery model, too. Practical part of graduation theses carries out research of CRM system offer, supplied by traditional suppliers in model „software as a service“ and compares it with offer of companies supplying exclusively in software as a service model, concretely Salesforce.com. This part of research was carried out with help of interviews with Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and Salesforce employees. Next part of research gives a view and understanding of software as a service model by important IT service suppliers in Czech Republic – companies Ness and Hewlett Packard. The only one Czech supplier of software as a service model in research is the company Elanor Global, s.r.o. In customer part of research the TietoEnator reasons for switching to this model are described. A summary of reasons for model adoption based on world research works is given, too.
Analysis of the implementation and use of SaaS IS in the Russian market

This paper deals with the implementation of SaaS in the Russian market, especially in the Ural region of the Russian Federation -- Republic of Bashkortostan. SaaS is usually considered as an alternative way for the dominant model of software installation at the customer office. SaaS has certain key differences related to the use of different types of outsourcing and switching from buying products for permanent use to the system with subscription fee, depending on the specific use of resources. The goal of the theoretical part of the paper is to construct the comprehensive picture of Cloud computing, cloud services especially SaaS, to identify the strengths and weaknesses of SaaS technology, call attention to issues of risk, safety, the process of deployment, focus on the analysis of the status of SaaS information systems in the world and analyze situation on the Russian market. The goal of the theoretical part of the paper is to get acquainted with the companies in the Ural region of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Bashkortostan, to show their attitude to cloud-based technologies, highlight the exploration and use of SaaS in the Republic of Bashkortostan, compare the current situation in Russian enterprises with the status of SaaS in the world. By questionnaire survey I will obtain basic data of the awareness and use of SaaS in this region of Russia. The expected benefits of work may include extending the knowledge of readers about Cloud computing and one of its services - the form of SaaS. Next benefit is that Czech managers and directors can use this paper during the decision on the implementation of this model in their business.
Applicability of cloud computing systems in project management

This thesis examines the applicability of cloud computing systems in project management. The main objective is the definition of the requirements on a project management software tool and their subsequent application in the specific area of cloud software providers. The theoretical part of the thesis studies the essential aspects of the principle of software provision services. The first part is dedicated to the history and general definition of the concept of cloud computing. The second theoretical part describes the basic principles of project management. Project management is not examined as a whole but instead, the emphasis is put on a specific area of human resources management. The theoretical part also contains the definition of the requirements, which are used as assessment standards for the practical part of the thesis. The practical part introduces an overview of 10 selected providers of cloud-based applications. The previously defined assessment standards are applied subsequently on each subject. The generated evaluation data are used to verify the defined hypotheses supporting the concept of cloud computing applications in project management.
Cloud Computing: Overview of available SaaS solutions

This bachelor thesis deals with an area of Cloud Computing, which is called Software as a Service, or SaaS in short. In summary, it is the application delivery model run over the Internet. The aim is the introduction of the concept of Cloud Computing with its characteristics, detailed explanation of the concept of SaaS, including key features, benefits and limitations and at the end of this thesis mapping and evaluation of ERP product offers provided as a service on the Czech market. The theoretical part is based on a literature research of expert books, articles and other electronic resources. The subsequent mapping of product offers lies in searching for infor-mation via the Internet. Evaluation of available properties based on the product and is based on the criteria established on the basis of expert studies and articles. The evaluation is based on available properties of products and on the criteria established on the basis of expert studies and articles. The main contribution of this work is, in my opinion, the mapping of current ERP product offers provided as a service on the Czech market and their evaluation based on selected criteria. The structure of this paper follows the main aims. The first part deals with theory and is always proceeded from general to specific. In the second part there is space defined for mapping offers on the Czech market, closer selection of products for evaluation, presenta-tion of evaluation methods and the final comparison.
