Development Strategy of Family Business

This diploma thesis deals with strategy development of family business. The theoretical approach is focused on the basic knowledge, which is used to analyze the current state of the business. Simultaneously, the specifics of the family business are introduced. The results of strategy analysis serve as a basis for making proposals to solve the identified shortcomings.

Innovation in small and medium enterprises

This thesis provides insight into factors that influence the innovation activity of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Czech Republic. Its key part analyzes a survey conducted among over eleven hundred Czech SMEs. A model of determinants of innovations is constructed and estimated. Own R&D is identified as a key driver of innovations for the firms. Other important factors include investment into technology, improvement of quality of a product or service or presence on foreign markets. Barriers to innovations and external factors with negative impact as perceived by the firms do not prove to constitute a real inhibitor of innovative activities. Valuation of the company DARUMA spol. s r.o.

The aim of this diploma thesis is the valuation of the company Daruma spol. s r.o through determining the threshold values for the seller and buyer in the case that current owners would consider the sale of the company. The valuation date is 31st December 2015. The first part of the diploma thesis is focused on the theoretical information about valuation of small and medium enterprise. The second part is devoted to the valuation as such, the threshold values are calculated and then the potential arbitration value under the terms of the transaction is estimated.

Support options of SMEs in the form of subsidy titles

This bachelor thesis is focused on the possibilities of support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the form of subsidies from European funds. In the theoretical part characterizes the principle of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial activity. Furthermore, the evolution and funding opportunities for entrepreneurial activities of SMEs in the Czech Republic are defined. The practical part is focused on analyzing the individual steps towards the creation of a specific project of the chosen company Resort Sv. Frantisek in order to obtain a subsidy from the Rural Development Programme 2014_2020. The conclusion evaluates the benefits of the project in the case that the applicant receives the subsidy and it also contains a recommendation for other entrepreneurs who would also like to fund their business projects partially by grants.

Analysis of drawing EU Structural funds in the Czech Republic with a detailed focus on OP PIK

Since the third and possibly the last grant period for the Czech Republic in the framework of drawing the European Funds is underway, it is assumed that businesses successfully and efficiently draw funds with allocated resources for the Czech Republic. Agencies should also help to the effective implementation, however, their activities do not reflect the market and clients requirements properly. To confirm that, the Czech Republic was in previous years, one of the worst states in terms of efficiency of drawing on funds of the EU structural funds, which was caused by an improperly formed grant system by management authorities, as well as misconduct on the part of applicants and potential beneficiaries and agencies with their erroneous philosophies. Author task was to analyse the causes of drawing funds inefficiency with a detailed focus on Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation and Entreprise and Innovation for Competitiveness used mainly for businesses. Diploma thesis not only analyses the current grant situation in which entrepreneurs can submit their project applications but also proposes possible solutions how to help entrepreneurs in drawing on funds.

Next part deals with characteristics of bank loans and the procedur for granting a loan. Then, based on a methodical procedure, an analysis of a loan from a selected bank with a specific client is created.

The aim of my thesis is to create business plan for expansion of concrete small size company MONTIX, a.s. in connection to its current situation, possible future growth and further development. First part of my thesis is focused on aims of my work and theoretical resources, which might be used in real practice. Second part of my thesis will be summing up the actual status of the company in connection to possible business opportunities and by using the innovation processes I am going to suggest business plan to extend the company in the way it secures stable company's growth and readiness of all business systems and processes for further enlargement, with the aim of increasing company's value even improving operating results in a form of business plan.

Implementation of Total Quality Management System in Small or Medium Service Enterprise

Úspěch společnosti poskytující služby je závislý na efektivním využití kvalifikovaných lidských zdrojů. Na rozdíl od výrobní společnosti u firmy poskytující služby není vždy proveditelné zcela standardizovat výstupy, proto efektivita společnosti je závislá na optimalizaci vnitrofiremních procesů a přesném vymezení rolí u jednotlivých pozic. Principy Total Quality Managementu aplikované na společnost poskytující služby zajistí standardizaci fungování a vnitrofiremních procesů společnosti při zachování potřebné flexibility, což z dlouhodobého hlediska společnosti poskytující služby přinese výhody oproti konkurenci, zefektivnění řízení organizace a zvýšení návratnosti investice pro majitele/investora. Součástí práce je návrh implementace TQM připravený pro SME zabývající se poskytováním IT služeb.
