Handling with hazardous materials on construction site

The aim of the diploma thesis was to point out possible legislative differences between the Czech and Slovak Republics and to provide examples of asbestos disposal prices. The theoretical part briefly summarizes the waste, it is legislation and the share of construction waste. The chapter entitled Asbestos provides a brief overview of the history, mining and diseases caused by asbestos. In the practical part I devote with the legislative methodology of asbestos disposal according to the Czech Republic. Based on the relevant laws in the states, I subsequently evaluated the differences between the countries. I also devote with the procedure of disposal of sewer pipes and roofs, for which I subsequently created a budget with reference to the price of asbestos disposal.

The diploma thesis focuses on evaluation of revenue of investing in real estate through collective investment, especially through the real estate investment trusts and revenue gained by direct investment in real estate with regard to current situation in Slovak real estate market. The thesis should guide potential investor through these types of investments and its result is formulation of investment recommendation.

The theory specifies tax system of individual states and defines the basic concepts of taxation. In the practical part, these two systems compare on the model examples and evaluate, which country is more advantageous for the model entrepreneur. Finally, it captures possibilities for tax optimization in Czech Republic.

Czech company that focuses on financial modelling and advisory is being introduced in the bachelor’s thesis. The company considers expansion of its services. We will evaluate, whether the company shall seek for new capacities in the Czech Republic, or shall establish its subsidiary abroad. Specifically, we will analyze implications on the income tax of the new legal entity and profit repatriation. As is revealed, these factors have an important impact on such decision, and should be taken into account next to the production costs and general business environment in the respective countries.

Bachelor thesis is focused to compare personal income taxes between Czech Republic and Slovakia. Basic concepts and information are processed in theoretical part. This information is needed to determination of tax liability and specifying of the procedure for personal income taxes in a given state. In practical part, specific examples are modeled using theoretical knowledge. Suggestions for taxes optimization of taxpayers are made based on mutual comparison of tax liability in each state.

The bachelor thesis deals with taxation of foreigners - residents and non-residents - in the Czech republic. It explains the differences between cooperation with the States of the European Union, contracting and non-contracting States. The main aim is definition of basic differences and finding the ways to optimize the tax liability of foreigners. Attention is also moving in specific cases that are resolved by the agreements for the avoidance of double taxation between the Czech Republic and Slovakia or the Czech Republic and France.

STU Innovation Center in Bratislava

The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to create documentation for the building permit and part of the documentation for the construction. The work follows the architectural study, which was developed in the subject AG35 - Atelier of public buildings. The theme of the studio work was the Campus STU Competition by Inspireli. The main idea of the idea competition was to design a representative center of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The project includes the innovative STU science center, educational, social, multi-purpose and leisure spaces both indoors and outdoors and part of the rectory's workplaces. The Innovation Center serves students, pedagogues, researchers and employees of STU, as well as experts from practice, self-government and the public. The campus creates conditions for the interaction of the academic environment with practice and is an important communication space towards the public. This is helped by the opening of the complex and its connection with the main public spaces of the city. I designed a concept called "STUdents city", a city that has imaginary boundaries, while being open to the public, a city where students can find everything they need and can take it for them. During the new construction of the campus, I respond to the surrounding faculty buildings and the context of the place, and to make it open to the faculties materially and conceptually, and at the same time not to disturb them with its substance. I solved the problem of lack of light of the inner block by the potential of the sloping plot and by placing certain objects in the newly created terrain break, at the same time I ensured the supply of natural light and fresh air by means of atriums and skylights. When designing, I took into account the flexibility and variability of interior or exterior use. It was also important for me to use new technologies in the design for the technical school, such as facade glass that is environmentally frien
