Exploring correlation between vegetation indices and plant nitrogen uptake
Byly změřeny různé charakteristiky plodin, včetně indexu listové plochy (LAI) a výšky plodin, a vzorky ozimé pšenice byly analyzovány na příjem dusíku pomocí elementárního analyzátoru.
Human Hand Geometric Parameters Measurement Using Numerical Methods of Image Processing
Vanžurová, Anna ; Procházková, Jana (referee) ; Štarha, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with a matematic model used for estimation of the surface of a human hand. By using the theory for digital image processing, analytic geometry and numerical methods a model for proccesing a photografy of a hand was created. This model further calculates the surface in the software Matlab. The model uses tools such as median filter, adaptive tresholding or conditional erosion. Interesting is the usage of the curvature of a curve, which can be used to find the peaks and bases on the border of the hand. Dependencies between the calculated results and the measured real surfaces can be found. Therefore a regression function could be found, which gives us a point estimation of the human hand surface.

Analysis of hysteresis behavior of vertical headlight adjustment in an automobile
Holec, Radek ; Hadač, Ondřej (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the occurrence of mechanical hysteresis in the vertical adjustment mechanism of car headlights. The adjustment mechanism contains certain inaccuracies that can result in mechanical hysteresis, a phenomenon in which the light source does not return to its original position and the direction of the light rays is deviated from the intended direction. The first part of the paper deals with contacts and friction in the connectors in the Abaqus software. Then the development of the computational model is described. This model is further compared with the measured values of the actual headlamp. A DOE (Design of Experiment) was performed and these results were processed using regression and sensitivity analysis. The effect of clearances and high friction moments was found to be the most significant. The paper concludes by describing the principles by which hysteresis arises and quantifying the various parameters that affect hysteresis.
Retail electricity price analysis
Chmelař, Šimon ; Zinecker, Marek (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the analysis of electricity retail prices within the Czech Republic. In recent years, spot electricity prices have become a significant topic due to their high volatility, which was caused by market liberalization, geopolitical factors, and the gradual transition to sustainable energy sources. The aim of this work is to create a computational model for estimating the composition of various types of wholesale prices from the retail prices offered by electricity suppliers. The first part of the thesis summarizes the functioning of the wholesale electricity market, its components, and the types of electricity trading. The second part of the thesis focuses on compiling calculations using MATLAB software. By analyzing wholesale prices and prices offered by a certain supplier, it determines whether the supplier has secured at least the minimum part of the estimated consumption of its customers and is thus able to fulfill its obligations.
