Decanal church of St. Bartholomeus: The picture of decanal church on the background of the evolution of the medieval Pelhřimov
Peltan, Václav ; Šmied, Miroslav (advisor) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the question about the beginning of the town Pelhřimov which belonged to Řečice the estate of Prague bishops as well as the development of religious buildings in this town. In the old pre-location settlement existed from the middle 12th century the church of St. Vitus, to which in the early 14th century was added the church of Virgin Mary In The Walls (during the Reformation was its patrocinium changed to patrocinium St. Bartholomew the Apostle). After a confusing period of the Hussite revolt and the subsequent reorganization of the Church in Bohemia the church of St. Vitus in the suburbs began to slowly losing its importance as a church of Virgin Mary within the walls fully developed and became a the parish church, later decanal. Based on my own research, unpublished studies and reconstructive models I am presenting the form of decanal church in Pelhřimov in time of founding, at the turn of the 13th and 14th century in which slight changes remained until the mid-16th century. The construction phase is often neglected in the literature, and it is not yet sufficiently investigated nor targeted. This bachelor thesis is supplementing the gap in knowlege of Pelhřimov's decanal church. Keywords Pelhřimov, decanal church, the 14s century, Middle Ages, early gothic, basilica

Office of the vicar at the turn of the century (17901821)
BEČVÁŘ, Stanislav
The diploma thesis deals with a statistical study of two books of protocols in the office of the vicar episcopal in Pelhřimov. They both cover the period from 1750 to 1831. It is focused on the time when Vincenc Josef Rubricius from Nová Cerekev was in the office of the vicar episcopal. In 1790 he became a vicar episcopal and stayed in his office for three decades until the time of his death in 1821. Thanks to his diligence and precision in maintaining the official agenda and the long-term work in the office of the vicar episopal, it was possible to perceive the studied time period as a coherent unit. Such a notation in the book of protocols was an evidence about the official acts. The statistical data about the number of the notations are described in the diploma thesis in 32 chapters, each of them for a particular year. It studies the number in the particular months, weeks as well as days. Due to this, it monitors the number of the official acts, e. g. with the consistory in České Budějovice, the other parish offices belonging to the vicariate, the Regional Authority in Tábor or the deanery in Pelhřimov. Even the visitations in particular parish offices were noted down into the books of protocols. Owing to these notations, it was possible to describe into details how the visitations were carried out during a particular year.

Czech Toponyms in the Perspective of Cognitive Ethnolinguistics
Marek, Jakub ; Vaňková, Irena (advisor) ; Štěpán, Pavel (referee)
This thesis deals with linguistic stereotypes of cities. Therefore, the object of our interest is onomastic material (oikonyms, ie. own settlement names), which, however, is viewed from the perspective of cognitively and culturally oriented linguistics. The main theory, which the thesis is based on, is J. Bartmiński's theory of stereotype (incl. the so-called. profiling). We have dealt with the names of three Czech cities that currently belong to the administrative unit of the Vysočina Region: Jihlava, Pelhřimov, Pacov. Following the methodology of Polish authors of J. Bartmiński's scope we have analyzed each of them in terms of three areas: language data, text data and empirical data. We found out concrete connotations of these names in Czech language, and on the basis of these findings of ours we have formulated their stereotypes. Besides the formulation of the three selected specific stereotypes, this thesis also presents some general observations about stereotypes of cities. It is esp. a case of a proposal the profiles (ie. general aspects, which are usually used in the process of profiling a stereotype), with which you can work in research on stereotypes of cities in general. Furthermore, this thesis elaborates the methodology of analyzing text data, which should be in the centre of attention...

Baranová, Simona ; Foltýn, Dušan (advisor) ; Míšková, Alena (referee)
Bachelor's work is a kind of research of the lives of people in Pelhrimov region during last days of the WW2 and the short time in its ending. It shows more about the reactions of the people to the Prague uprising and describes if they had also taken part in it. The work also describes the way how the revolt was going on and if it was in individual cases successful or not. The work contains first of all events mentioned in the chronicles of local towns and cities. The work also values the credibility of individual chronicles and other sources. In the case of the chronicles I have used, I found out, that they don't contain any faults, so they can be used also in my next work. One of the villages mentioned in my work is called Leskovice. On 5th and 6th May the village was burnt and local people were murdered by a SS crew from Pelhrimov. Beside using information from the chronicle, I went to the village and made some interviews with survivors of the tragedy, so I can verify these events by an authentic experience.
