Microsoft Office Password Recovery Using GPU
Zobal, Lukáš ; Veselý, Vladimír (referee) ; Hranický, Radek (advisor)
This thesis describes the password recovery of Microsoft Office documents by expanding an existing tool Wrathion. The thesis explains the issue of digital document protection, modern encryption and hashing algorithms and rudiments of OpenCL standard. Next, the analysis of structure of MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint documents is performed, including all the versions since 1997. Using this knowledge, we create a draft and an implementation of improved DOC module for newer versions of the encryption, as well as a draft and an implementation of brand new modules for XLS and PPT formats and their newer variants DOCX, XLSX and PPTX. After that, we measure performance of the new modules and compare it with other competing password recovery tools.
General-Purpose Computation Using Graphics Card
Boček, Michal ; Pospíchal, Petr (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis describes the programming models OpenCL and CUDA for Parallel Programming adapters and in case of OpenCL even for other computing platforms. There was implemented the application which calculates the electric potential in the crystalline lattice. The algorithm was programmed using two technologies for the GPU - OpenCL and CUDA. Their computational time were compared together with computational time of the CPU.

Vlček, Přemysl ; Petrlík, Jiří (referee) ; Korček, Pavol (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to develop and test an acceleration of special case of celular automata called Nagel-Schreckenberg model of traffic microsimulation without a graphic output on different platforms and then compare the measured results.
Simulation of Heat Diffusion in the Brain Using High-Level GPGPU Techniques
Krbila, Martin ; Kadlubiak, Kristián (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with acceleration of heat diffusion simulation using graphics cards. It describes an approach to acceleration of an existing implementation in Matlab, which is a part of k-Wave package. Various high-level as well as low-level libraries for GPU programming are introduced here and their strengths and weaknesses compared. A complete implementation of the simulation on GPU was created as a part of this work. This implementation achieves around hundredfold speedup over the existing CPU solution in Matlab. A module for computation of discrete trigonometric transformations on graphics card was created to accelerate simulation with various boundary conditions. This module achieves around ten times speedup over the best CPU implementation. Another output of this thesis is a performance comparison of several implementations of basic diffusion simulation each using a different GPGPU technique.
Image classification using artificial intelligence
Labuda, Adam ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis address the issue of classification and feature extraction of imagesfrom image. In JAVA platform will create an example that loads a set of images, extracted from symptoms with the help of artificial intelligence provided by the thesis supervisor. Artificial intellihence assumed kind of image. Finally the results are compared. }
Design and Performance Analysis of Parallel Processing of SRTP Packets
Acceleration of Microscopic Urban Traffic Simulation Using OpenCL
Urminský, Andrej ; Kajan, Michal (referee) ; Korček, Pavol (advisor)
As the number of vehicles on our roads increases, the problems related to this phenomenon emerge more dramatically. These problems include car accidents, congestions and CO2 emissions production, increasing CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere. In order to minimize these impacts and to use the road infrastructure eff ectively, the use of traffic simulators can come in handy. Thanks to these tools, it is possible to evaluate the evolution of a traffic flow with various initial states of the simulation and thus know what to do and how to react in different states of the real-world traffic situations. This thesis deals with acceleration of microscopic urban traffic simulation using OpenCL. Supposing it is necessary to simulate a large network traffic, the need to accelerate the simulation is necessary. For this purpose, it is possible, for example, to use the graphics processing units (GPUs) and the technique of GPGPU for general purpose computations, which is used in this work. The results show that the performance gains of GPUs are significant compared to a parallel implementation on CPU.
Password Cracking Using PRINCE Algorithm and Fitcrack System
Bolvanský, Dávid ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Hranický, Radek (advisor)
The PRINCE algorithm is a faster and more advanced version of a combination attack. Non-distributed password breaking often encounters its limits, and its applicability to real tasks decreases due to the increasing demand for computing resources of the device. The aim of this work is to design a distributed version of the the PRINCE attack as an extension of Fitcrack system, which focuses on distributed password cracking. The proposed design is implemented and integrated into the Fitcrack system. The work examines the PRINCE attack on a set of experiments, which examines the impact of various configuration options. Part of the experimental part is a comparison of the PRINCE attack with the dictionary and combination attack. The purpose of the comparison is to find cases where the PRINCE attack is better than other attacks. Finally, the integrated PRINCE attack solution in the Fitcrack system is compared with the solution implemented in the Hashtopolis system.
Evaluation of Relationships between Pairs of Contacts in Intracerebral EEG
Hraboš, Martin ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Kupková, Karolína (advisor)
This thesis describes selected methods of brain connectivity analysis. It was created an application, as a part of this thesis - plugin for evaluating relationships and dependencies between signals calculated as Pearson correlation coefficients. Computation of these coefficients is accelerated by GPU.

Specifically, it deals with the implementation and comparison of various variants of Sobel's edge detector and Gauss filter using global or local memory. Acceleration has been achieved on 3D filter variants. On 2D filter variants, the overhead for data transfer to and from the GPU was too high.
