Noise control of computer-substitutuion of air ventilator with liquid cooling
Daněk, Petr ; Ošmera, Pavel (referee) ; Pellant, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the possibilities of reducing computer noise by replacement of computer fan cooling with water cooling. Moreover the efficiency of the application of soundproof materials on inner computer is discussed. The sound-level meter Brüel & Kjaer 2231 is used for quantitative evaluation of proposed suggestions.
Use of Animal Biological Strategies to Reduce Vehicle Noise
Kovács, Gergő ; Vacula, Jiří (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the use of biological strategies of animals to reduce vehicle noise. First, the basic concepts of acoustics and the mentioned causes of noise in a car are clarified. A substantial part is devoted to a more detailed analysis of individual animals and their techniques. The main goal of this work is to analyze the noise reduction rate of these strategies and their potential use in transport, specifically in cars.
Recognition by Retina
Stružka, Jaroslav ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Fiala, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with recognition by retina (identification, verification). In introduction we describe information about human eye, its diseases with focus on retina impact. Further (in main part) we conduct SW analyses based on biometry retina requirements and design of SW application for retina recognition. It is based on processing pipeline design (sequential application of image filters). This pipeline mostly contains filters focused on edge detection, adaptive threshold and skeletonisation. Finally, basic SW functions includes users registration (enroll), identification, verification. In conclusion we discuss experimental results and success of designed SW in practical application.
Objective assessment and reduction of noise in musical signal
Rášo, Ondřej ; Makáň, Florian (referee) ; Krejčí, Jiří (referee) ; Balík, Miroslav (advisor)
The dissertation thesis focuses on objective assessment and reduction of disturbing background noise in a musical signal. In this work, a new algorithm for the assessment of background noise audibility is proposed. The listening tests performed show that this new algorithm better predicts the background noise audibility than the existing algorithms do. An advantage of this new algorithm is the fact that it can be used even in the case of a general audio signal and not only musical signal, i.e. in the case when the audibility of one sound on the background of another sound is assessed. The existing algorithms often fail in this case. The next part of the dissertation thesis deals with an adaptive segmentation scheme for the segmentation of long-term musical signals into short segments of different lengths. A new adaptive segmentation scheme is then introduced here. It has been shown that this new adaptive segmentation scheme significantly improves the subjectively perceived quality of the musical signal from the output of noise reduction systems which use this new adaptive segmentation scheme. The quality improvement is better than that achieved by other segmentation schemes tested.
Filtering methods for MR images processing
Pláněk, Jiří ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Gescheidtová, Eva (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with wavelet transformation and its signal and image noise reduction application method. Significant parameters problems as a wavelet type, a threshold technique selection, a threshold level and a level analysis selection for successful signal and noise image filtering are described. A relation between wavelet transformation and digital bank filter is used by anti-noise and sub-bandwidth filtration. A part of the master´s thesis is focused on nuclear magnetic resonation, where jaw-joint image is processed. Jaw joint image noise reduction filtration methods are used in experimental part of the master´s thesis. Consequently, filtration methods improve a jaw joint image quality, which helps a doctor with patient health state condition. Different types of wavelets were tested and in different application methods order. Filtration methods results were visually compared; therefore any conclusion comparison has subjective matter. Accordingly, only doctor is able to resolve which filtration method is convenient to use to determine patient health state.
Noise study of heat pump
Gregorovičová, Eva ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with a noise study of a heat pump, which is important for the assessment of the acoustic comfort of people. The thesis describes the theory of basic terms, quantities, measuring devices and the chosen method of determining sound power. The acoustic properties and technical condition of the measured heat pump, its possible noise sources and the possibilities of reducing their emissions are also described. The total noise level of the device is determined by the intensity probe according to the scanning method according to ČSN ISO 9614-2. Based on the acoustic map and frequency spectrum, the partial noise sources of the heat pump are identified. The resulting values from the measurements are compared with the manufacturer's values. The noise situation is assessed by measuring and comparing the measured values with the hygienic limits. Furthermore, the designs of the noise protection measures are assessed, and the design of the noise protection measures for the specific case is carried out. Finally, possible noise protection measures are implemented and experimentally verified. The results confirm the need for further development of heat pumps to reduce noise emissions.
Reconstruction of the road surface
Šuľak, Andrej ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Zháňal, Lubor (advisor)
This thesis presents various approaches for race track surface reconstruction based on different algorithms designated for these purposes. In addition to surface reconstruction it also offers proposals for polygon mesh filling in the unscanned areas around the track.
Třeba Air conditioning pharmacy premises
Přikryl, Jan ; Koňařík, Marcel (referee) ; Uher, Pavel (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor’s thesis is a project of air conditioning equipment in the area of pharmacy in Břeclav. In terms of this work there is used air ventilation, hot air ventilation and the air conditioning. Theoretical part examines the possibilities of backward heat retrieval and humidification. Project part pursues a desing of four air conditioning units for area of pharmacy.
Noise control of computers
Pišťáček, Karel ; Mišun, Vojtěch (referee) ; Pellant, Karel (advisor)
The discusion of the origin of noise of computers and the possibilities computer noise control. The influence of the fan speed and of the blade shape on noise level is discused and the possibillities of computer noise reduction are suggested.
Active noise cancellation
Bulva, Ondřej ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Balogh, Jaroslav (advisor)
This project deals with problems of active noise cancellation. The first part focuses on the understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human hearing. Furthermore, the understanding of the basic principles of acoustics, distribution of sound, and his generating. The important part is introduction to the issue of noise in the environment. The second part is dedicated to device design. The aim of this work was to design and construct device for active noise cancellation. Designed and assembled were two versions of the device for active noise cancellation. The problems associated with achieving the perfect noise cancellation is analyzed at the end of the work in detail together with the results of active noise canceling each version of the device.
