Roof structure of construction for social purposes
Bašista, Ján ; Melcher, Jindřich (referee) ; Karmazínová, Marcela (advisor)
The work treats the static recalculation of an existing roof structure of a construction for social purposes and proposes two variants of the design of a new roof structure. The construction has a rectangular ground plan of 30 m x 47 m and the roof structure is placed on the load bearing circumference concrete walls. Except for the load constituted by the function of the construction and by the climatic area, an extra load of 2 tons suspended at any place of the structure is considered because of the special requirement of working and technological equipment. The variant no. 1 is designed from the steel S355. The variant no. 2 is designed as a combination of the wood GL24h and the aluminium EN-AW 5083. Both of the variants have 11 transverse load bearing girders. The purlins are perpendicular to the girders and are placed on them. Stiffness is secured by roof stiffeners.

The object is designed of tree parts: living part – a flat of the vicar and a flat for visitors, a community center – a parish hall and a hygienic rooms, an office part – an office of a the vicar and a clubroom. All parts of building are divide with fiction, design and used materials. The building is designed with a traditional materials as wood, concrete, masonry. The shape of building is designed from three diferent blocks. An parish hall i designed with rectangle layout, in the hall are designed two windows. The north-west corner of hal lis designed higher than other part sof room, because this corner is situated to church. This window is designed with frame in cross shape. The second window is connection between the garden and hall. The external fasade is designed from smooth concrete with links, that are designed in cross kapes. The links are designe as some crosses, that are designed in gold section. The office of vicar is designed with wood arc beams. The external fasade is designed from titanzinc sheets. The fasade is designed as wall and roof. The end fasades are designed from glass walls, because wood beams are a dominant of this part of building. The living part of building is designed with two floors. Th structure is designed with traditional technologies from masonry and concrete or wood slabs.
The analysis of acoustic properties of innovative wood-based materials
Svojanovský, Jan ; Nop, Patrik (referee) ; Jirásek, Ondřej (advisor)
The content of this work is research of innovative wood-based materials in the acous-tic perspective. Basically, the goal is to determine the influence of the internal structure of the wood-based material on variables, which are sound speed, acoustic resistance, or acous-tic constant. In total were measured 15 samples, each one was made in a different way. Each sam-ple was weighted, and the length of its sides was measured. By using the ultra sonic timer, it was measured the time of the sound impulses, which go through the samples in all of their axes for the purpose of observation the influence the fibers on speed of sound in the materi-al. The next thing to do was to determine another magnitude, which describe acoustic of the material. All measurements were taken in room conditions (room humidity). Six of the sam-ples, which were randomly selected from those 15 samples, were measured once again after two weeks. In those two weeks were all the samples saved in air-conditioned place in which was the room humidity distinct lower. In the end all the samples were compared with each other and they were also com-pared with materials which are commonly used in production of musical instruments or acoustic components. Possible use in the music industry was assigned to each sample.
Cost comparison of houses made of classic materials and houses made of natural material
Lošáková, Jana ; Gilar, Ing Přemysl (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on a comparison of construction cost of the house made of classic materials with the equivalent made of natural building materials and consequently on comparison of both construction variants. In order to perform those tasks, the used natural building materials were defined. Furthermore, the specific options of usage of these natural building materials as well as the used composition structures were introduced. The thesis concludes with a price calculation of the constructions made of natural building materials which were not available in the common budgetary software. The appendix of the thesis contains budgets for the first variant, where the house is made of natural building materials, and also for the second variant, where the house is made of classic materials.
Life cycle of wooden structures
Pavlíková, Šárka ; Aigel, Petr (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with comparing the costs of construction of the timber and classical walling system throughout their life cycle. The first part introduces the history of timber, wood as a building material, processing of wood for building purposes, construction of wooden buildings, durability, removal and recycling of wooden buildings. The second part evaluates the cost of building a family house from both types of material and also cost of living in both buildings since their creation until their licvidation.
Footbridge
Smělíková, Petra ; Puchner, Josef (referee) ; Sýkora, Karel (advisor)
The topic of my Bachelor's thesis is a static assessment of a bearing structure of a current footbridge which is also used for cycling. It is placed in Kunovice near Uherské Hradiště. The length of span is 28 meters. Its construction is solved as space framework with through-span. Main beam is truss structure with upper saddle flange. The height of beam in the middle of the span is 2.5 meters and above supports is 1.5 meters. The calculation is done either by hand or using calculation program Scia Engineer 2012.0.
Housing for bro
Kropšová, Zuzana ; Šnajdarová, Helena (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
I have a brother with a mental disability. The moment when he will move away from his mom‘s house is slowly approaching. The question is: Where will he move? What will he do during the days? Where will he be able to work? Will he be able to live like most of us? Will he be useful and beneficial for society? Will people perceive him as someone who needs help or as someone who has something to offer? Architecture gives space to people. Space that forms them. Space has the power to unite people. It can tear down barriers which have been build during the years. Space can open up new possibilities. That is why I am convinced that I can find answers to my questions through architecture. In my work, I want to map the life of an adult with a mental disability and find a way how to integrate him into the mainstream society fully. I want to find a way how to make partners from clients. Since I have lived with a person with a mental disability for 15 years of my life, I will rely primarily on my personal experience. I tailored the work to my brother, but, at the same time, I want it to have a general outreach. I will draw inspiration from literature, legislation, and personal meetings.
Leisure Time Centre Brno
Gregorová, Stanislava ; Teplý, Vladimír (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
The theme of my bachelor’s thesis is to design a new leisure time centre building in Brno Novy Liskovec. The area is a defined space by street Plachty. The building site is situated in the northern part of the area, surrounded by blocks of flats. The principle of the draft is based on integration of the building into the park in the context of the surrounding buildings. The object corresponds with blocks of flats in its shape and material, it adapts to the surrounding terrain by incorporation into the slope. Typical of the whole building are concrete, cube, simplicity – they can be seen at first floor outside, contrary to the ground floor - it builds into the surrounding terrain by a material of wood. The leisure time centre building is functionally divided into parts: a multifunctional hall, rooms for leisure and café. All these operations are closely related and complement each other. Green roof of the building is designed for people, equipped with benches. Together with the adjustment of the surrounding park it contributes to the creation of public space on the estate.
Preparation of the implementation of Kelčský Javorník Lookout Tower, Rajnochovice
Vokurek, Kamil ; Rotrekl, Ivo (referee) ; Kantová, Radka (advisor)
This diploma thesis is based on preparation of the implementation of Kelčský Javorník Lookout Tower in Rajnochovice. The main idea of the lookout tower constructing is to increase the local tourism. Diploma thesis assesses the whole project and it is focused on the foundation of the rough lower construction and also on assembly of the higher construction. Planning was assessed in terms of time, finance and in terms of the use of material resources. The quality of construction will be ensured by created inspection and test plans. To increase the overall service life of the structures, a scheduled maintenance schedule was designed. A variant solution of electricity supply was proposed, which will shorten the construction time, reduce the total construction costs and the overall maintenance of the building during its lifetime.
