Strategic Communication of the culture of the royal city of Písek in the last decade (2012-2022)

The aim of the thesis was to analyse and interpret the communication of cultural events in the selected city in the given time period from 2012 to 2022 and to survey public opinion about culture in the city of Písek. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on defining the basic concepts related to marketing and strategic communication and focusing on their use in the communication of cities and municipalities. The practical part analyses the strategic communication of the city in the given time horizon by means of a comparative analysis, supplemented by a questionnaire survey among the city residents concerning satisfaction with communication and promotional activities.
The influence of social media on adolescents

This bachelor's thesis focuses on young teenagers and their relationship with social media and how social media affects their lives and what impact it has on them. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, the first topic is approached in more detail is the topic of adolescence and its phases, the next topic is the internet and social networks, where the risks of possible addiction to these networks and the Internet are described. The last chapter focuses on the issue of cyberbullying, its forms and manifestations. The empirical part is dedicated to practical research. I chose case studies as a form of research. The case studies are further analyzed through open coding. I used semi-structured interviews to collect data for this empirical research. The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to present social media and anylyze the relationship of adolescents to these social networks and further reveal how these networks influence the lives of today's adolescents.
Trust between the workers of People and Roma clients.

Within the European Union, the Czech Roma minority faces one of the highest levels of discrimination. However, the approach of social workers who help Romani people solve problems caused by this discrimination has its specificities. Building trust in the relationship between the social worker and the Romanui client is one of the essential requirements for successful social work. My bachelor's thesis focuses on the relationship between a social worker and a Romani client, with an emphasis on trust. The theoretical part describes the concepts of social work, trust, and the Roma population. Furthermore, these concepts are interconnected, thus I describe trust in the context of social work, Romani clients in social work, and trust within the Roma population.Additionally, my work addresses two research questions - Research Question 1: How does trust manifest, build, and transfer within the context of social work with Romani clients? and Research Question 2: How does social work adapt to the cultural contexts of Romani clients? Communication between Developers and Players on Platforms Discord and Steam

The thesis focuses on communication between developers and fans on Discord and Steam. This communication is primarily examined from the perspective of community managers, who serve as a vital link between developers and players. The aim is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the environment of developer communities in the Czech Republic and to compare communication methods on Discord and Steam platforms. It is a qualitative study, with semi-structured interviews with community managers as the primary method. The secondary method involves a thematic analysis of official communication from game studios on the two mentioned platforms. The empirical part follows a theoretical part, and the conclusion confronts the results with the literature mentioned at the beginning of the thesis. The findings reveal that Discord and Steam platforms are indeed relevant places for the emergence and management of gaming communities, unlike other social networks. Furthermore, the research shows that community managers often share similar gaming backgrounds, or that not all of them consider themselves game developers. Four lessons for the Catholic Church: the use of behavioural economics in the communication of the Czech Catholic Church to non-believers

The thesis explores the possibility of using behavioral economics and the phenomenon of the trend for communication of the Czech Catholic Church to non-believers. The thesis first analyzes the current communication practice of the Czech Catholic Church and, based on a media analysis of Czech news media, further explains the state of communication and identifies its shortcomings. In the second part, the characteristics of the trend, its spread and the specifics of the effectiveness of its communication are presented in detail. These two parts are then linked theoretically and four lessons for the communication of the Czech Catholic Church to non-believers are defined.
Nursing care of the woman during stillbirth

This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of nursing care of the woman during stillbirth. The thesis has a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the mentioned terminology. It explains the issue of managing the delivery of a dead foetus, mainly from a nursing perspective. Great emphasis is placed on the subsequent care of a woman after giving birth to a stillborn foetus and the importance of mementos in the subsequent experience of loss. Additionally, the theoretical portion encompass care for women during the initial six weeks postpartum. The last topic is the issue of grief and subsequent social care. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is conducted quantitatively. The research sample consists of women who have given birth to a stillborn foetus and are willing to share their experience. The questions for female respondents are focussed on the topic of time spent with the baby after giving birth and on the topic of mementos. Emphasis is placed on questions seeking, how influential were these events on the subsequent experience of loss. This master's thesis, entitled The Role of Social Networks in Senior Citizen Communications with Family and Friends, examines the significance of online communication in the lives of older adults, with a particular focus on communication with family and friends. The thesis aims to provide a deeper insight into the use of social networks by seniors when connecting with family or friends, further explore their experience with this form of communication, and determine whether they have faced any barriers while using social networks, and who influenced them to use the networking sites. The theoretical part focuses on the demographic group of seniors, the importance of communication in the lives of seniors, and determines the characteristic features of online communication. The theoretical part examines in detail the social networks, advantages, and disadvantages of using social networks by seniors and explores which Czech organizations help seniors engage in the digital world. Conflict prevention and de-escalation in pediatric nursing

Background: This paper focuses on conflict prevention and de-escalation in pediatric nursing. Aims: The theoretical aim of this thesis is to review relevant information on conflict prevention and de-escalation in paediatric nursing from the available Czech and international literature. The obtained knowledge is to be sorted, critically assessed and evaluated. The empirical aim of this thesis is to carry out quantitative research using a non-standardized questionnaire distributed distributed to nurses working in paediatric inpatient wards of Motol University Hospital, to statistically process and evaluate the obtained data and to formulate conclusions and recommendations on conflict prevention and de-escalation for practice based on the results of the questionnaire survey. Methodology: The research was conducted in the form of a non-standardized anonymous questionnaire of our own design, distributed to paediatric, general and practical nurses working in the paediatric wards at Motol Hospital. 144 correctly completed questionnaires are included in the final study. Results: The research survey revealed that although 72% of nurses consider education on conflict prevention and de-escalation important, only 21% of nurses have received such education in the last 5 years.
