Burnout by nurses in intensive care Abstract: Objective of this thesis was to determine incidence of the risk of burnout by nurses in intensive care in the Motol University Hospital in Prague, compare to risk of burnout among nurses in intensive care for childern and adults and by age, sex, marital status, education, length of experience in health care and on the current department, satisfaction and performance in the workplace. The research method for data collection were two anonymous questionnaires: one prepared by author of the thesis and a standardized questionnaire by dr. Pines to determine the risk of burnout. It was found that more than hlaf of nurses in FN Motol had low risk of burnout and has not demonstrated that nurses have on children's or adult wards increased risk. Results confirmed that discontent and the increasing intensity of stress in the workplace is proportional to the risk of burnout. This research confirmed that although most nurses achieved good results has been shown a high percentage of nurses with alarmig score and even burnout. Therefore we should not ignore this issure, but rather to warn him and avoid unpleasant consequences through educational seminars, pleasant working environment and do not overload nurses. The Social Services Staff Access to the Supervision.
ŘÍHOVÁ, Štěpánka
The bachelor thesis is focused on the attitude of social service workers to supervision. The objective of the thesis is to determine the attitude of social service workers to supervision. A partial goal of the work is to determine the benefit of supervision for social service workers. I focused on their experience and evaluation of the attitudes towards the supervision, and also on their reaction to stressful situations and also on how they try to prevent the burnout syndrome. In the theoretical part I focused on three basic chapters: social services and standards of quality, supervision and the burnout syndrome. In the practical part, in the qualitative research I chose ten workers in direct service from the Care House of Mistr Jan Křišťan in the town of Prachatice. I set one main research question:? What is the attitude of social service workers to supervision?? and four partial research questions. I applied the method of qualitative research with the technique of semi-structured interview. The results are assessed in tables. The results revealed that the attitude of social service workers is in nine cases out of ten positive. They see the benefit of supervision in the opportunity to meet together in a pleasant and safe environment and in the opportunity to talk undisturbed about difficult and painful situations coming continuously during the performance of this profession. Supervision for them also means a significant contribution in delivering hope, expression of empathy and respect from the supervisor for their hard work done. The results of the bachelor thesis could be a source of information about supervision, its contribution, development and provision in social services in the region of Prachatice. The thesis could be used not only by social service workers but also by the workers in educational and medical facilities. The thesis could be used for all helping professions.

DRDOVÁ, Ivana
Work motivation of employees in helping professions in the ARPIDA Centre, Libnič Home and Empatie Centre The thesis solves the motivation problems in choice of helping professions. In theoretical part I dealt with a question what is the mason for a person to perform helping professions. This job is of considerable attraction that can be the reason why an employee can perform this exhausting work even at lower financial evaluation than what is offered at some other professions. Important is that helping is undoubtedly meaningful activity for lots of people. Helping person concerns important life questions and problems of real people. The aim of practical part is monitoring of satisfaction in people working at state( Libnič Home and Empatie Centre) and non-state (Arpida Centre) institution including system of burn-out prevention. Supposed hypotheses: 1. Workers of monitored centers are despite of their lower financial evaluation satisfied with their jobs. 2. Motivation for choice of helping professions are the same both in state and non-state institutions. 3. Workers of monitored centres are informed on rules of psychohygiene in performing the helping professions. The research confirmed first and third hypotheses. The second hypothesis was not confirmed. In order to prove the hypotheses I used a form of quantitative questioning. The data collection proceeded with questioning method, technique of questionnaire. This thesis could be used at organizations where monitoring was carried out. It also can serve as a manual for people working in helping professions and centres of social service.
