Armenian piano literature focused on instructive literature

The diploma thesis is focused on the Armenian piano music in context with Armenian culture. The first chapter summarizes important events of the history of Armenia from the ancient times to the present. Following chapters describes Armenian musical culture and Armenian piano music. The last chapter intended to be the most important, it tries to characterize giants of Armenian music and their most important works.

Eurasian Economic Union: Towards Economic Prosperity, or towards Power Gains?

The Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) emerged more than one year ago but so far there has been no consensus on the nature and the main aspects of the cooperation. Whereas some observers underline pure economic incentives of the integration, others see the regional organization as a tool for increasing the power of the strongest members, and especially Russia. Strongly echoed in public discourse is a comparison to the former Soviet Union. To tackle the issue, the thesis asks: What are the main motives for participation in the project? Which main benefits are expected by the members to be gained? These questions are answered through a content analysis of verbal expressions of five presidents who hold the main decision-making powers in EEU's member states. Based on theoretically generated analytical categories, the thesis conducts a quantitative analysis of the discourse, which is then discussed in the context of the post-Soviet space. The findings reveal the motives which the presidents use to legitimize the membership and show the main cleavages that threaten to undermine the development of the organization.

The Element of Surprise: A Study of Two Modern Surprise Attacks

The thesis analyses two modern surprise attacks - the 1982 Falklands War between Argentina and Great Britain; and the 2016 April War (also known as the Four Days War) among Azerbaijan, Armenia, and de facto Republic of Nagorno Karabakh. Using literature of the Theory of Surprise, the study tries to determine the reasons why states chose the strategy of surprise, and how did they decide on the timing of the wars. It also displays the shortcomings inherent in the strategy of surprise, and points out where the mistakes, false assumptions of the belligerents in these two cases studies lay. Finally, a comparative study of the cases highlights the ideas that can improve a state's preparedness and hopefully avoid surprise attacks in the future. The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to define marketing communication recommendations for the company, specialising on grave maintenance in Armenia. The survey conducted for this thesis was collected via online questionnaire around the world, aiming at ethnic Armenians. The results allow small companies in unpopular fields of work to identify possible reasons for communication failure they are experiencing with their customers. This work resulted in a new webpage design and Facebook communication strategy for the studied company.

Pavel Makovský: Geopolitical aspects of transport interconnections development in the Southern Caucasus Abstract This study solves transport interconnection in the South Caucasus region with a focus on four modes of transport - air, rail, road and pipeline. The research covers regional cooperation and cross-border involvement of other states and international organizations. Literature and data research from statistical office of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia sites, which I analyzed and confronted with the liberal theory of functionalism (neofunctionalism) and the opposite theory of realism (neorealism), was conducted. The result is an interdependence analysis evaluated at two ranks (regional and cross-border). It is followed by the applicability and summary of all political actors acting on the basis of liberal or realistic thinking. Venetian-Cilician relations between 1198-1375

The thesis deals with the description and analysis of the various forms of relations between the Republic of Venice and the Kingdom of Cilicia in the period 1199-1175, during the existence of the kingdom. In introduction it provides a brief overview of the historical development of both states, with emphasis on common developmental stages in the mentioned period. The core analyzes primary sources of narrative and official character which reflect the relations of both states.

Socialization of Second Generation Armenian Immigrants

A qualitative research focuses on the effects of socialization in Czech cultural environment on the ethnic identity of the second generation Armenian immigrants. The research was conducted with six participants. Their age ranged between 17-28. Two of the participants were male. Author used the method of semi-structured interviews, to find out how the different socialization factors interract with a person's identity. In order to preserve the original ethnic identity, several factors must meet. The first contact of family with the destination country has a significant impact on a child's development of ethnicity.
