Ethical dilemmas of a social worker at work with people suffering from Alzheimer's disease

The diploma thesis is focused on the ethical dilemmas of a social worker when working with people suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The aim of this theses is to describe the ethical dilemmas that a social worker encounters when working with people suffering from Alzheimer's disease and then to point out how the chosen ethical theory can be helpful in solving the dilemma situation. The first to fourth chapters are conceived in an informative form. These chapters are based primarily on professional literature. In the first chapter I characterize the target group of my diploma thesis. The second chapter focuses on an institution with a special regime which is intended for people with Alzheimer's disease or other types of dementia. The third chapter deals with the social worker which is followed by the fourth chapter of negotiations with the applicant for residential social service in an institution with a special regime. The fifth chapter describes eight dilemma situations that I personally experienced as a social worker. The sixth chapter of the diploma thesis deals with the analysis of my chosen ethical dilemma from the point of view of the ethical theory of utilitarianism.

The first part briefly characterize regional politics and its application in the Czech Republic. Next part overview particular operating programmes with profound view on operating programme Education for competitiveness, out of which is realized the call "EU money for schools", intended to improve conditions for pupils and teachers at primary schools outside Prague. This thesis is focused on the methods for selecting employees in the recruitment and selection process of employees and their using in the recruitment and selection process of teachers in kindergartens. The aim of the theoretical part of this thesis is to describe these methods for selecting employees, include context of the whole recruitment and selection process of employees and to describe the methods for selecting employees in the recruitment and selection process of teachers in kindergartens. The aim of the practical part of this thesis is to discover and describe the methods for selecting employees that are used in kindergartens in The Capital City of Prague and The Central Bohemian Region based on quantitive research of questionnaire surveys. The research reports the used methods for selecting employees, the number of combined methods for selecting employees and used knowledge and skill tests in recruitment and selection of teachers in examined kindergartens. An applicant for a paid study programme as a target audience of online persuasion by FSV UK

The subject of the diploma thesis is the process of online persuasion in the case of higher education applicants for bachelor's and master's programmes at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University (FSV UK) subject to tuition fees. The selected programmes form a specific class within the set of study programmes offered by the faculty resulting in necessity of different promotion strategies. The specificity of these programmes lies in the primary focus on multidisciplinarity, specific target group and the requirement of tuition fee payment. Online marketing and the recipient's persuasion being an effective tool gaining attention rapidly in recent years is the focus of this thesis. The attitudes of the main actors involved in the online persuasion in case of FSV UK are analyzed employing both quantitative (a questionnaire survey) and qualitative (semi-structured interviews with applicants and students) approaches. Care allowance as a pillar of care for person with disability

The thesis is focused on the issue of care allowance. The theoretical part contains basic information about this social benefit. There are described various forms of administrative proceedings. It is imperative that you know the social services that you can turn to if necessary, so they are also mentioned in the work. Attention is paid to the characteristics of the social worker. The practical part aims to give the reader an insight into this issue. There are actual stories of people here to see where difficult people can be. The questionnaire survey found that the respondents had a negative experience with the care allowance, as the proceedings took several months. Furthermore, it was found that the primary information about this social benefit is learned from the doctor. Research has shown that they most often need help with shopping, household cleaning, or hygiene. These are tasks that are physically demanding for the respondents and often helped by family members.

The aim of this diploma thesis is a construction order preparation and management from aspect of investor. The diploma thesis is divided on the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains information about life cycle of the project, the legislative environment, financing and about contractual relations between projects. In the practical part, these theoretical knowledge are subsequently are applied to a particular public contract where the investor is the town of Mohelnice. A target of this diploma thesis is to describe and analyze the entire course of the implementation of the public construction contract from preparation to completion and putting into operation.
Analysis of the Costs Spent for Patent Protection in Selected Countries

The thesis focuses on comparation of patent application costs in several countries. It deals with submission of the application form and necessary documents for application, e.g. description of the invention, drawings, patent claims and others. The thesis also focuses on the procedure of patent granting, its costs and duration. The text informs if those costs can somehow limit an applicant and shows that in case of any limitation the applicant can draw money from various grants mentioned in the thesis. The applicant decides whether he logs his invention in a single country through a national application form, or if he does so in other states according to options of European patent or international application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The work analyses every single form of application costs in selected countries. It also considers economic performance and purchasing power of every country and it's mutual comparison.

This Bachelor's thesis is focused on the sourcing, selection and hiring of the employees in the chosen organization and it is divided into two parts. The first, theoretical part, introduces individual processes in detail including various methods and their advantages and disadvantages. This part of thesis is based on the field specific literature. In the second, practical part, the specified organization is presented and characterized. It also analyses sourcing, selection and hiring processes of the organization. This part is based on the documents provided by the organization, external documents, interview with the human resource manager, employee survey and comparison of the theory and practical application. The practical part also covers the assessment of the obtained data, which is based on the strengths and weaknesses of the organization including proposed suggestions to improve the efficiency of explored personnel activities.
