Configurable Parallel Execution of System Tests within the Strimzi Project
Orsák, Maroš ; Rogalewicz, Adam (referee) ; Češka, Milan (advisor)
V poslednych rokoch mnoho spolocnosti prijalo Kubernetes a architekturu mikrosluzieb, ktoru umoznuje. Aby sme tento problem vyriesili, prijali sme principy par- alelneho vykonavania a vytvorili mechanizmus v ramci systemovych testov Strimzi, ktory paralelne spusta testy iba proti jedinemu klastru Kubernetes. Okrem toho sme navrhli uplne novu architekturu pre end-to-end testy. Vylepsenia su zamerane na skalovatelnost a skratenie casu vykonavania . Prostrednictvom niekolkych experimentov tato praca ukazuje, ze navrhovany mechanizmus s roznymi konfiguraciami klastra Kubernetes (vratane pocet uzlov Kubernetes , pocet paralelne vykonavanych testov a sad ) vyrazne urychlil vykonavanie testov.

The main goal of this thesis is to get introduced to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform, especially the EC2 compute capacity service, next goal is to get introduced to the current solution of the k-Dispatch system for automatic launch and monitoring of computing jobs, and in the end to propose and develop utilities for the integration of the EC2 service into the k-Dispatch system. The developed solution offers a tool that can be used to create a configuration for an EC2 HPC cluster, which can also be deployed using the tool. Furthermore, a communication interface has been created to communicate with the said cluster.
Static strength assessment of the weld
Gális, Róbert ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Dlugoš, Jozef (advisor)
This thesis aims to review, summarize and compare the available approaches and standards assessing static strength of welds. In the introductory section, the theoretical knowledge required to assess static strength of welded structures is summarised. In the next section, the algorithms for evaluating static strength of welds using each guideline are reviewed and described in detail. They are also applied to designed T-shaped welded geometry with a two- sided fillet weld. Subsequently, the obtained results are compared and evaluated. Finally, an experiment is drafted to verify the calculations or to determine the most appropriate approach.

The task of this bachelor's thesis is creation of simple and functional infrastructure designated for recording and transmission of an audio recording captured by microphone and processed by Raspberry Pi. Final output file is then transfered to cloud storage. The goal of the thesis is making a prototype capable of processing a sound recording into required format and with suitable quality. The work should consider possibility of charging the system with battery, type of used network technology and setup of the cloud storage. Prototype should be simple and functional. Importance is comparing the infrastructure with similar devices on the market.
Cryptographic coprocessors for IoT microcontrollers communication protection
Český, Michal ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis outlines the issue of how communication can be secured within the IoT. The microcontroller itself can also be used for this purpose, however, security will never be assured as it will be when using a hardware cryptographic co-processor. To generate the keys and certificate, the ATECC608B coprocessor is chosen which holds the necessary "secrets" used to secure the communication. As a demonstration of the cryptographic coprocessor functionality, the ESP32 microcontroller is connected to the AWS server where all the connections to the server are established using the cryptographic coprocessor.

Processing and Storing IoT Data in Relational Databases with Application of Cloud Services
Hlava, Jakub ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Hynek, Jiří (advisor)
Smart cities and systems for their management are constantly producing great amount of data, which needs to be processed and stored. The goal of this Bachelor's thesis is to create a tool, which will make developers able to test influence of this amount of data on their system, especially on database server. Then they will be able to adjust their cloud infrastructure for assumed level of load before it's real-world deployment. The tool is developed using Python programming language as collection of components which makes scalable load testing possible from many places at the same time. Data about the course of test and about service of PostgreSQL database server is collected by the tool during testing. Course of the test can be controlled and monitored by user using integrated web interface, which also visualizes collected data in form of charts. The tool was created in cooperation with Logimic, s.r.o., tailored to their system for smart cities management.
Campaign to stop 'killer robots': prospects of a preemptive ban on autonomous weapons systems
Rosendorf, Ondřej ; Smetana, Michal (advisor) ; Hynek, Nikola (referee)
This thesis addresses the issue of autonomous weapons systems and their potential preventive prohibition with regard to current international discussions at multilateral forums such as the Human Rights Council, First Committee of the General Assembly, and Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons at UN. The aim of this thesis is to provide an extensive empirical account of the substance of those discussions and their most likely outcome, estimating state preferences with use of content analysis and the likely outcome with median voter prediction. From a theoretical standpoint, the thesis draws from defensive realism and contributions of arms control, arms trade as well as institutionalist literature from which it draws the concept of legalization. From a methodological standpoint, the thesis relies on quantitative methods, in particular, content analysis for collection of data and median voter theorem for prediction of the likely outcome. In addition, the thesis uses the method of regression analysis to examine states' activity at the aforementioned fora. In conclusion, the thesis finds that the most likely outcome of discussions on autonomous weapons systems is a moderate-obligation form of hybrid regulation, which includes solutions such as framework convention and moratorium. Further finding of...
