Analysis of sublimit sources of danger from the viewpoint of prevention of serious accidents in the Czech Republic.
FUNJEKOVÁ, Kristýna
The bachelor thesis is Analysis of sub-limit sources of hazards in terms of major accidents prevention in the Czech Republic. It deals with the issue of unclassified hazards sources that do not fall within the scope of Act no. 224/2015 Coll., on major accidents caused by selected hazardous substances or chemical mixtures. The aim of the thesis is to describe the characteristics of lower-tier establishments with hazardous substances and to evaluate the sources of hazards within the lower-tier establishments and beyond the lower-tier establishments. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, attention is paid to scientific literature, relevant legislation and documentation regulating the issue of unclassified sources of hazards. The research part focuses on the analysis of the sub-limit sources of hazards structure in the individual Czech Republic regions and deals with the current approach of the regional fire rescue services to this issue in order to answer the research questions and the achieved objectives of the thesis. A SWOT analysis has been carried out in order to evaluate the sub-limit sources of hazard in the individual regions in relation to the number of inhabitants of the region as well as the current approach to solving the issue of the lower-tier establishments by the regional fire rescue services. At the conclusion of the thesis, changes for the regional fire rescue services concerning the minimization of hazards represented by the lower-tier establishments are proposed.
The Theme of Escape, Nomadism and Teritorialization in the Work of Gilles Deleuze and Michel Maffesoli
Bílková, Barbora ; Charvát, Martin (advisor) ; Marcelli, Miroslav (referee)
The thesis deals with the study of issues of escape, nomadism and territorialisation with regard to postmodern society. These concepts are explored on the basis of works by two French postmodern authors: Giles Deleuze and Michel Maffesoli. However, the analysis of seemingly similar ways of telling about these topics is to prove their considerable difference with respect to their understanding of life, world and society. In the theoretical part, the research focuses on Deleuz's concepts of becoming, multiplicity and division of space into smooth and grooved and Maffesoli's concepts of postmodern society associated with neotribalism, its desire to wander and dynamic rooting. The analytical part of the thesis is based on these concepts to interpret the documentary cycle "Kmeny", which relates to the topic of urban subculture within the Czech Republic.
Optimization of ultrasonic leak detector of pneumatic system
Macků, Ondřej ; Mazal, Pavel (referee) ; Vlašic, František (advisor)
The thesis deals with design and optimization of exchangeable modules for localization of air distributable ultrasound in concept of ultrasound probe design. Several series of these modules were manufactured using the technology of rapid prototyping and tested on artificially created source of air leak. Based on these verification experiments two types covering wide use for identification of pneumatic systems leaks were selected and modified. These two types are long range module for more accurate and expended reach of the leak detection and focusing attachment for narrowing the received range of scanning module and elimination of surrounding ultrasound. Part of the thesis is also analysis of the acoustic signal processed by modern acoustic emission analysers which allow besides standard parameters recording also continuous sampling up to 10 MHz and design solution for attachment of add-on modules to the detector. The thesis is beneficial for raising awareness of leak measurements, prototype manufacturing by using the 3D printing and designing and manufacturing of modules.

Hardware MISO Emulator for Fading Channels
Rez, Jan ; Pítra,, Kamil (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is devoted to study the possibility of solving a hardware MISO emulator for fading channels and design of experimental device. The theoretical part starts with the theory of propagation of electromagnetic waves in a different types of environment, follows the principles and phenomena describing the radiocommunication channels and gradually gets up to specific channel models used for planning radio links. The actual design study of emulator is based on theoretical knowledge mentioned in this thesis. The basic principle of each channel model and thus so the emulator for fading channels is Tapped Delay Line model. From the point of view of the peripheral emulator solutions are designed with two topology circuits, parallel and serial-parallel. Emulator control method, mechanical arrangement, selection of topology circuit, components selection, desing of the PCB and software design is also analyzed. The results of this thesis is prototype production of experimental device and final discussion about achieved requirements and tasks.
Countryside in the Official Prose 1970s and 1980s
Soukupová, Veronika ; Holý, Jiří (advisor) ; Merhaut, Luboš (referee)
During the normalization period, the topic of countryside life in literature started to reappear. Many prosaic works depicted character's departure from the city to the countryside and his/her beginning of their new life in unknown surroundings. This thesis focuses on such works of art, published between the 1970s and 1980s. It compares four officially published examples of countryside novels containing any mark of escapism (in novels written by Jan Otčenášek, Bohumil Říha, Jiří Medek, Jan Kostrhun) with examples of prose published in samizdat or exile (Mojmír Klánský, Milan Kundera). Through intertextual as well as thematic and compositional analysis, the thesis investigates common features contained in this "escapist" literature. The analysis is inspired by the poetics of space and by the concept of the countryside as an idyllic space.
The Constitution and the Subversion of the Exotic Myth
Binarová, Moe ; Voldřichová - Beránková, Eva (advisor) ; Hrbata, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kyloušek, Petr (referee)
The present dissertation outlines the main phases of the development of exoticism: its evolution from the discovery of Tahiti and its basic manifestations and transformations in French and Czech literature from the end of the eighteenth century to the 1930's. It focuses on the birth of the myth of Tahiti as a heavenly place (Bougainville), on its immediate philosophical interpretation in the period of Enlightenment (Diderot) and on its transposition to literature in a broader shape. At times, the island of Tahiti was gradually vanishing from the exotic myth behind another, more indefinite, exotic and ideal place, culture etc., while at other times, the presence of Tahiti was absolutely crucial. In the first half of the nineteenth century, the myth of the exotic paradise renewed literature and enriched it with new themes and motives (Chateaubriand, Romanticism), which, however, led progressively to the creation of simplified schemes and clichés. These, due to their repetitive nature, degraded the image of the myth (Loti). Although the superficial and unsophisticated adaptation of exoticism lasted until the twentieth century (Havlasa, Novák), in the meantime, from the second half of the nineteenth century, the myth of Tahiti was being radically reassessed and transposed to literature in a new way....
Trampers from Brno in the era of so-called normalization
Polouček, Oto ; Altman, Karel (advisor) ; Hlaváček, Jiří (referee)
Tramping represents a uniquely Czech phenomenon as a form of leisure in contact with nature as well as a sort of informal pooling. It starts off at the beginning of the interwar period in Czechoslovakia, develops during the so called normalization Era (1969-1989) and continues to exist up to the present days. The main objective of this thesis is to highlight some of the basic conditions of the development of this phenomenon in certain examined periods of time by means of an analysis of life stories. The focus shall be located on specific forms of motivation for tramping, values associated with this activity by the trampers and the role of the collective in the activity. The Normalization Era is particularly interesting for an exploration of the relationship between tramping and power in authoritarian environments such as those from our recent History. The main, albeit not the exclusive research materials for this diploma thesis, has been taken from narrative sources. The study concentrates on the city of Brno as a particularly active location in which tramping activities have been taking place all along a extensive period of time in History.
