PM2.5 concentration field in the air of Zadni Treban village during heating season
Wallenfelsová, Karolína ; Hovorka, Jan (advisor) ; Mareš, Petr (referee)
This bachelor thesis evaluates the impact of local heating on PM2,5 concentrations mo- nitored in a village Zadní Třebaň in Central Bohemia between 21. 12. 2021 and 3. 2. 2022. It also examines the effect wind speed and temperature have on the PM2,5 concentrations. The PM2,5 concentrations were measured using both stationary and mobile monitoring. For the stationary monitoring, 7 DustTrak 8520 monitors (integration time 1 min) were used. A network of these monitors was built to cover different settlement (village edge, village center) as well as geological types of locations (valley, hill). The mobile monitoring took place 31. 1. 2022 over the course of 7 walks during which PM2,5 and PNC concentration were measured. Portable monitors were used for mobile mea- surements - DustTrak DRX for measuring PM2,5 concentrations and P-Trak for measuring particle number concentrations (PNC). The integration time for both of these monitors was 1 s. The aim of the mobile monitoring was to supplement knowledge gained from the stationary monitoring. The highest average 24h PM2,5 concentrations were measured on the 22. and 23. 12. 2021. On the 22nd the US EPA limit of 35 µg · m−3 was exceeded on almost all measuring sites except Stations 4 and 7. On the 23rd the limit was exceeded on all measuring sites except...

Structural properties of graphs---probabilistic and deterministic point of view
Hladký, Jan ; Šámal, Robert (advisor) ; Pawlas, Zbyněk (referee)
We study bipartite subgraphs of a random cubic graph in the thesis. We show, that an edge-maximum bipartite subgraph of a random cubic graph on n vertices has asymptotically almost surely less then 3 2 · 0.9351n edges. We also show that the number of vertices of a vertex-maximum induced bipartite subgraph of a random cubic graph lies within interval [0.75n; 0.9082n]. To obtain the lower bound we design a randomized algorithm for finding a large induced bipartite subgraph of a random cubic graph. We discuss consequences of the results for graph homomorphisms, namely for Pentagon Conjecture posed by Nešetřil.

1 ABSTRAKT Mgr. Lucie Kunzová Possibilities of affecting of secondary metabolites production in culture Silybum marianum in vitro Elicitation is the method making use defensive mechanism of plants to increasing poduction of secondary metabolites in plants and cultures in vitro. The effect of 6, 12, 24, 48, 72 and 168 hours influence by three concentrations of the abiotic elicitor (3-jodo-4-methylfenyl)amide 5-methylpyrazine-2-karboxylic acid on the flavonolignans production in Silybum marianum callus and suspension culture was monitored in this study. The in vitro culture was cultivated on Murashige-Skoog medium with the addition of 10 mg/l of α-naphtylacetic acid as a growth regulator. The content of flavonolignans was determined by HPLC. The maximum content of flavonolignans (0,03 %) in callus culture was demostrated after 24 hours of elicitation (c1 = 2,83 · 10-3 mol/l). The maximum content of flavonolignans (0,04 %) in suspension culture was demonstrated after 48 hours of elicitation (c3 = 2,83 · 10-5 mol/l).
A quantitative analysis of the series of history textbooks for elementary schools
Machálik, Rudolf ; Eliáš, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Matějek, Marek (referee)
Annotacion Rudolf Machálik: A quantitative analysis of a line of history textbooks for elementary schools, Prague 2010, 42 pages. Bachelor thesis. The intention of this thesis was to analyze the chosen history textbooks as to their content - what topics they cover, in what amount and in what order. The textbook is supposed to be interesting and gripping in order to be beneficial for the reader in the sense of being a source of new knowledge instead of being just a pile of accumulated information. In spite of the fact that these textbooks were published in 1991 they are didactically flawless - the texts are not too extensive and lots of auxiliary materials are used. I also shortly wrote about the authors. In analyzing the content of the textbooks I followed the sequence of the topics, the number of chapters and subchapters, the number of tables and charts and the way the authors used and formulated questions. The use of colors to highlight key words can be counted to their credit as it helps the reader to find an easy way through the text. I examined the high number of pictures and their character, the time lines and photographs. I also analyzed the range of materials and texts with the Christian context and their amount using the method of computation of the proportional representation of these topics on...

Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of: Biological and Medical Sciences Candidate: Mgr. Kamil Beil Consultant: doc. PharmDr. Miloslav Hronek, Ph.D. Title of Thesis: Evaluation of the nutritional substrates oxidation and energy expenditure in polytrauma patients on nutritional support The aim of this study was to determine and demonstrate the influence of nutritional support on energy expenditure and nutritional substrate oxidation in polytrauma patients in the intensive care unit, because is not well known. The study was performed on 14 patients in critical condition (11 men and 3 women). Their mean age was 45,29 ± 17,67 years. Examinations were obtained after at least 4 hours nutritional support administration. Energy expenditure and nutritional substrate oxidation were measured by indirect calorimetry under standard condition. Bioimpedance analysis using body composition monitor was used to determine values overhydration. From a relatively large number of results was demonstrated that the intake of energy in kcal · kg-1 · 24 hours-1 (p = 0,0125; r = -0,6461), carbohydrates in g · kg-1 · 24 hours-1 (p = 0,0108; r = -0,6563), proteins in g · kg-1 · 24 hours-1 (p = 0,0017; r = -0,7576) reduces protein oxidation in g · kg-1 · 24 hours-1 which the body did not use as...
Criminological aspects of corruption
Kurzová, Nora ; Gřivna, Tomáš (advisor) ; Vokoun, Rudolf (referee)
90 ABSTRACT The purpose of my thesis is to analyse criminological aspects of corruption. The reason for my research is my long term interest in criminology and specifically in compliance and anti-bribery matters. The thesis is composed of twelve chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of corruption and related fields. Chapter One and Two are introductory and define basic terminology used in the thesis and introduce organisations and laws dealing with corruption worldwide. Chapter Three briefly describes the origins and growth of corruption as a phenomenon in human society and brings a closer look at the connection of growth of corruption and growth of GDP. Chapter Four focuses on prevention of corruption and introduces different tools which help fight corruption. Chapter Five categorises corruption offenders and explains different approaches towards profiling in criminology. Chapter Six give an overview of the global situation and sectors where corruption usually most often occurs. The chapter is subdivided into 7 parts each dealing with different sector. Chapter Eight is my original research and brings a closer look at the situation in the following countries. Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Poland. Chapter Nine gives us the opportunity to learn from observing others and Chapter Ten is a...
Algorithm for word morphisms fixed points
Matocha, Vojtěch ; Holub, Štěpán (advisor) ; Žemlička, Jan (referee)
In the present work we study the first polynomial algorithm, which tests if the given word is a fixed point of a nontrivial morphism. This work contains an improved worst-case complexity estimate O(m · n) where n denotes the word length and m denotes the size of the alphabet. In the second part of this work we study the union-find problem, which is the crucial part of the described algorithm, and the Ackermann function, which is closely linked to the union-find complexity. We summarize several common methods and their time complexity proofs. We also present a solution for a special case of the union-find problem which appears in the studied algorithm. The rest of the work focuses on a Java implementation, whose time tests correspond to improved upper bound, and a visualization useful for particular entries.
Geometrické reprezentace grafů
Klavík, Pavel ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor) ; Pergel, Martin (referee)
Intersection graphs are a well studied field of graph theory. Complexity questions of recognition have been studied for several years. Given a graph, we ask whether the graph belongs to a fixed class. In this thesis, we introduce a new problem of partial representation extension. In this problem, aside from a graph, a part of a representation is also fixed. We ask whether it is possible to extend this partial representation to the whole graph. This problem is at least as hard as recognition. We study the partial representation extension problem for several intersection defined classes. We solve extending of interval graphs in time O(n2) and proper interval graphs in time O(mn). Using an approach described by Golumbic, we further show that comparability and permutation graphs are extendable in time O( · m). There are some classes that are known to be equal, for example unit interval graphs and proper interval graphs. Surprisingly, in the case of extending, we need to distinguish them. Similarly, we show that extending of function graphs and extending of co-comparability graphs are completely different problems.
