Suggestion and testing of turist guide of Kožlany region\\
BLECHOVÁ, Karolína
The main aim of the present dissertation has been the proposition and the following verification of tourist routes of the Kožlany region, so that they would comply with the pedagogic/recreational needs of first grade pupils. The routes are also eligible for pupils of higher grades, without losing value or meaning. I have chosen the Kožlany region for the vast majority of the tourist routes because of its unusual and picturesque scenery with slight terrain elevation and unpredictable landscape changes, thus being a surprisingly refreshing and interesting region to travel through. Besides differentiated terrain Kožlany is a region with a large wood covered area of remarkable beauty and historical monuments which are rarely mentioned yet deliver an unforgettable experience of history and greatness. Among the most important edifices are the monasteries of Plasy and Marianská Tynice. Although other monuments have lesser historical importance than the mentioned monasteries, they do not fail to captivate with their uniqueness and splendor. Examples of such monuments and historical sites are the ruined fortresses of Krašov and Krakovec, the hunting chateau Angerbach, the Jewish cemetery in Kožlany and others. The town of Kožlany is a small, but on the other hand a very interesting place. Two important historical figures are linked with the town, concretely the Czech king Vaclav I. and the second President of the Czechoslovak Republic, Dr. Edward Beneš. Both personalities are mentioned in the dissertation in concordance with their relevance to the tourist routes. The routes have been conceived for hiking, some of them also for cycling tourism, taking in account the amazing nature around Kožlany. The dissertation further includes a theoretical part which concentrates on the content, forms and especially on the importance of tourism in education. It also deals with the representation of tourism related activities in the instructional basis for the first grade development programs for primary, general and national schools. Each of the designed routes is thoroughly characterized according to its length, difficulty, duration, initial point, target point and the attractiveness of spots which should not be missed on the way. A detailed description of each journey's course with maps and additional photographic materials is to be found in the dissertation. Legends or fairy-tales are included in the case of some routes to make them more pleasant and meaningful for the travelling children, eventually adults. Every route has a specific name to keep a clear overview of all the routes as well as to motivate the possible travellers. The dissertation provides a wide range of materials and facts that will help the teacher orientate in the concrete journey and pass new knowledge to his pupils. A variety of games that could be relevantly played in the course of the journey are offered as well.\\

The younger Great Moravian phase in Mikulčice and a question of its understanding by means of study of ceramic groups
Mazuch, Marian ; Sláma, Jiří (advisor) ; Wachowski, Krysztof (referee) ; Poláček, Lumír (referee)
The current state of archaeological research on Great Moravia can, with a bit of exaggeration, be described as archaeology of two faces. The archaeology of cemeteries and the archaeology of settlement situations in power centres of the Great Moravian state. This seemingly provocative division may symbolize a kind of dualism, represented in two levels. In part, there are naturally two completely different worlds in the sphere of the living and of the dead, but there is also the archaeological difference - in the representation of material culture. We find just a few objects that these two worlds have in common (with the exception of those either with functional and formative perfection or, on the contrary, with simplicity, that, at least till this time, cannot typologically be distinguished, such as knives or spindle whorls), or more precisely these common points are very rarely monitored and evaluated in settlement contexts. In my opinion, this fact can be of crucial importance while trying to create a general chronology of the period in question. Archaeological evaluations of cemeteries, according to my knowledge, can be considered to be truly archaeological only if carried out on the basis of a stratigraphic analysis and, in the first phase, at least with the elaboration of some relative chronological...

Syndrom CAN (Child Abuse and Neglect) - prevention and its practice from the perspective of primary school teachers
Šimáková, Michaela ; Procházková, Jana (advisor) ; Janošová, Pavlína (referee)
This work deals with the problem of CAN, prevention and practice from the perspective of primary school teachers. The introductory part deals with the reason for choosing this work. It is also further developed its own problems CAN - neglect, as the lightest form of the initial abuse, and physical abuse, the incidence and forms, I looked at in detail, psychological abuse, and described the problem of sexual abuse and its forms, including systemic abuse and bullying. In the next section, I focused on the warning signs indicating the CAN syndrome, the physical, psychological and sexual abuse. There are special forms of CAN described as Münchhausenův syndrome of representation organized child abuse, ritual abuse and sex tourism. Here is a chapter on the consequences of CAN syndrome, first the short and long term consequences, the posttraumatic stress disorder with the overall post-treatment. It is also described the relationship and family violence with reference to the development of intergenerational violence. Follow shifts in the forms of torture and abuse of children, with the addition, it is silent about the abuse. Is also defined by the offender in the forms of abuse. The work also deals with crisis intervention and prevention of different types of CAN syndrome, which is the most important step in this...

International prefixoids with quantitatively-intensifying meaning in current Czech language
Podruhová, Eva ; Lehečková, Eva (referee) ; Saicová Římalová, Lucie (advisor)
The words composed using quantitatively-intensifying prefixoids are appearing more and more often in current Czech vocabulary. The prefixoids have come into Czech language with foreign words whose parts they used to be. These language elements are mostly international, most of them come from Latin, Greek, French and more and more often from English. In our thesis, we analyze these components: super- (supra-), maxi-, extra-, ultra-, hyper-, mega- (megalo-) giga- (giganto-), makro-, monstr-, turbo-, top-, big-¸ mini-, mikroand nano-. The words composed of these prefixoids can be divided into two main groups: 1) the sphere of professional language, where they function as scientific terms, professional words or as slang words; 2) the large sphere of occasional words which are especially used in the journalistic style and in common communication (mostly in expressive contexts). Most of these components are polysemic in the current language. Namely we focus on the quantitatively-intesifying prefixoids which often compete with each other. We closely look at meanings like: "big, the biggest, oversized, extraordinary, significant"; "very, extra, extremely, rarely"; "little, the least, unnecessary" etc. All explanations are supplied with representative examples which cover the latest layer of Czech neologic lexicum...

Asylum care in the Czech republic for the people in the dearth and it´s practical exercise in the brink of Plzeň
COZL, Jakub
The work deals with the situation of the homelsess people, their basic characteristics and places, where is this group hourly situated. The following part describes the causes and particular reasons, why people become homeless. The major part of the work deals with the asylum care intended for the people in the dearth. At first there is a view of organisations situated in the European Union, circumstationaly is described the coordination activities of the organisation Feantsa. The representation of Feantsa in the Czech republic by the Association of Asylum Houses is described in the following chapter called The work which is engaged in the czech asylum organisations. There are characterised component types of asylum care and organisations that convey the care. The final part of the work deals about the activities of the organisations Městská charita Plzeň and Naděje in the sphere of the actions against the homelessness. Most circumstationaly there are described informations about St. František´s House. These information comprehend the parts of the resocialisation process of the social work with the client.

Subject analysis of cultural columns in Mladá fronta newspaper in the consequence of social changes after 1989
Valjarevićová, Eva ; Köpplová, Barbara (advisor) ; Trampota, Tomáš (referee)
Before my analysis of cultural column in the newspaper Mlada Fronta Dnes, I asked a few questions and I set a hypothesis. I was curious, how the cultural page in the newspaper was influenced by american culture. In determined years 1992, 1996 and 2000, from four to eleven years after the 1989 velvet revolution in Czechoslovakia, followed by the change of political regime, I analyzed, to what extend are film, literature and fine arts published in the newspaper and also what space the cultural column actually takes. Investigation of new materials for second harmonic generation
Brajer, Martin ; Němec, Petr (advisor) ; Žídek, Karel (referee)
In these bachelor thesis optical properties of materials are studied. This materials are purposefully prepared for effective second harmonic generation (SHG) and for its usage in optoelectronics. Specificely we will measure the first hyperpolarizibility. Non-coherent phenomenon of hyper-Rayleigh scattering will be used. Considering its incoherence, the effect is very weak. It's necessary to use a strong source of light, pulse laser and a sensitive detection device, photomultiplier. Samples are prepared in cooperating chemical laboratories of Faculty of Science of Charles University in Prague. Additionally, we will discuss participation of two-photon fluorescence in output intensity because of its interchangeability with SHG.

Moisture and its transport in shallow subsurface of quartz sandstone
Svobodová, Eliška ; Bruthans, Jiří (advisor) ; Schweigstillová, Jana (referee)
The thesis deals with moisture transport in porous medium of quartz sandstone. Capillary water and its movement is crucial for processes such as salt and frost weathering, growth of organisms and development of honeycombs and tafone. However, moisture transport is still not well described. I focused particularly on two new methods applied to sandstone investigation. In the laboratory I studied moisture transport in sandstone samples by means of repeated injection of uranine solution. I observed the evolution of evaporation front based on the changes in solution concentration indicated by difference in color of uranine solution. Additionally I investigated moisture content in the shallow subsurface of sandstone outcrops in the field using suction pressure and moisture content measurements by microtensiometers and TDR in three locations in the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. Uranine proved to be an excellent tracer for visualization of the evaporation front geometry and its evolution in time. The results suggest that moisture transport is considerably affected by the presence of biofilms which are hydrophobic and retain moisture transport to surface. In addition, the values of suction pressure measured in honeycombs and a tafone are in agreement with the salt weathering model proposed by Huinink et al. (2004).

More effective approaches of brown coal post-mining restoration
Christov, Ivan ; Hendrychová, Markéta (advisor) ; Walmsley, Alena (referee)
The thesis is focused on evaluation of landscape restoration procedures. The land was heavily devastated by large-scale quarrying. Here are compared reclamation procedures used in the Czech Republic and abroad. Study area is the North Bohemian brown coal basin, which formed areas valuable for many endangered species of flora and fauna after the mining has ended. Surface coal mining method causes the extinction of villages, roads, railways, land and greenery. Our task now is to minimalize these effects as much as possible. To create a new landscape, with an emphasis on the environment. Reclamation helps us to do that. Monitored location is Střimická dump, where the representation of non-productive habitat was evaluated and there was proposed new, more efficient version of reclamation. Mapping has found that the current state of the dump is 5,2 % representation of non-productive habitat. The proposed variant represents the addition of new elements and thus increase the proportion to 23,5 %, which corresponds with the current trend of post-mining landscape recovery.
