Child in foster care and it's birth family

Bachelor thesis "Child in the foster care and its birth family" deals with conditions which lead to realization a certain foster care and describes different types of understanding biological family of the child in the foster care. First part includes definitions of the most important terms that are incorporated in other parts of work. Second part of bachelor thesis describes steps that are necessary to accomplish the foster care in the Czech Republic. Work engages in procedures how to successfully become from an applicant of foster care to a foster career and a way of threatened child into a suitable foster family. Analysis of semi-structured interviews and analysis of documents are included in the third part. This part specifies major problems with contact of biological family and the child in the foster care. Birth family of the child in the foster care is perceived by foster careers and experts in two ways. Some experts and careers perceive birth family as a problematic and inappropriate part of the foster care. Some of them suppose relations between parents and child as an inseparable part of proper development of the child in the foster care. Professional faster care abroad

Bachelar thesis is devoted to the topic of professional foster care abroad. The target of the thesis was to show the way of the functioning this form of the substitute family care in two different countries. The first part describes the characteristics psychological aspects of the foster care. Another part talks about the professional foster care in Slovakia. After separation of Czechoslovakia, the system of the substitute family care in Slovakia was developing differently than in the Czech Republic. There is a literature dealing with these issues of the professional foster care in Slovakia so I could well study it and wrote complexly about this issue. There is also a part in my thesis about the civil association "Návrat", which supports the comeback of abandoned children in to the family. The important part of the process of comeback of the abandoned children in to the family is the social work with dysfunctional families. The final part of the thesis informs about the professional foster care in Norway. Leaving the institutional substitute care and the first year after

Bachelor thesis "Leaving the institutional substitute care and the first year of independence" deals with young people, who are leaving residential care because of their adulthood, and are becoming independent. The author observes the circumstances under which the clients are leaving institutional care and attention is also paid to after-care that allows a smoother transition from full service to life outside the institutional care. The theoretical basis is the concept of social exclusion representing the first risk threatening care leavers because of their often lower education levels and lower competitiveness in the labor market and nonfunctional social network of their family and absence of social connections. Part of the bachelor thesis is qualitative research which includes recorded interviews with clients of residential care and aftercare, as well as with experts in the field. The purpose of the research is to provide a reflection of the parties involved and to illustrate the situation of these young people.
Homosexuality and Attitude of Czech Public on Commitment of Children to the Care of Homoparental Families

The first part of my work is focused on the definition of homosexuality and clarifies some concepts and a summary of its history. Registered partnership is explained there, including its advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore it also focuses on the importance of family for the child and review of the types of foster care. And finally, first part summarizes various factors that influences children's psyche. The second part described the results of my survey which is focused on the public image of child custody to gay couples. It consists of several reactions collected from various chat forums and the most representative opinions obtained from questionnaires. The work is accompanied by five case studies and opinions from among homosexuals.
Values, interests and perspective of children from children's home

1 Summary Children come into the establishment for institutional education from families that did not fulfill their function or did not meet the basic needs of the child. The parents of these children often perpetrated criminal acts, were under the influence of alcohol, neglected the children or in some cases even mistreated or abused them. The family was for these children often a negative image. The children spent part of their lives in a non-stimulating environment. These families influenced the personality of the child in a extremely negative way. Children from children's homes show handicaps already at a biological level. These children tend to have lower body measurements values, they suffer from different health handicaps, psychiatric disorders, their mental capacities are under average, they have attention disorders, heightened affectivity, heightened aggressiveness, etc. Children come into children's homes from dysfunctional families usually in their later school days, consequently, the family has had great influence during their early childhood and in some cases also during school age or adolescence. This thesis deals with children from orphanages. The content of the theoretical part consists of the legislative framework of the issue, explaining basic concepts, description of historical development of institutional care and the scope of institutions of social and legal protection of children. The main objective is to monitor the situation of children's home of clients in the institutional education. Approach the situation before the regulation of institutional care during their stay in institutional care, not only in the orphanage itself, but also diagnostic facilities, and also after leaving the facility and must be included in everyday life. The practical part deals with how children stay in foster homes also affects their lives. Educational Approach in Children's home and Kindergarten

The bachelor thesis looks on to the attitudes of the teachers in a particular type of a nursery school - nursery school with some principles of Step by Step approach and of the nurses in a particular type of children's home - Dětské centrum. In the theoretic part it processes theoretic and technical pieces of knowledge about preschool child in the family, in the nursery school and in the educational institution outside of the family. In the practical part it finds out how the spontaneous and the controlled activities in both of the institutions take place, what is their daily proportion and who and how makes the plans of them. The thesis also looks into the teacher's and nurse's methods and approaches of their work, how the free play of the children take place, in which manner is it interfered (in the institutions) and what are the games and the toys available for the children.
Aspects, which influence professional preparation of clients in children's home.

This bachelor thesis deals with professional preparation of clients in children's home and describes some chosen aspects, which can affect professional preparation during the stay of a client in children's home. The bachelor thesis is based on the available literature and legislative framework of institutional education. In the last chapter, the theory of professional preparation is illustrated with examples of three clients of the chosen children's home and there is an evaluation of described aspects of professional preparation in the chosen children's home.
The influence of institutional care on a preschool child

This bachelor work is focused on the institutional care of pre-school children. The theoretical part describes the basic aspects of orphanage accommodation and the history and development of protective institutional care. It also highlights the causes and processes of "taking the child away" from his biological family and later, his placement in an orphanage. The theoretical part also emphasizes the positive changes currently taking place in the Czech institutional care system. In the practical part of the work a detailed case study is presented of the Zvíkovské Podhradí orphanage. Here, characteristics are described of the pre-school children currently living in this institution.
