A transgender pupil in the environment of czech elementary school
Menšíková, Denisa ; Richterová, Magdalena (advisor) ; Linková, Marie (referee)
The issue of gender identity is rapidly pervading the school environment. It is important that teachers continue in their efforts to provide a safe and respectful environment for all students, including those who are dealing with their gender identity or identify as transgender. Teachers and other school staff need sufficient information and support to fulfil the principle of a safe and respectful environment. This raises many questions about the rights and needs not only of the transgender individuals themselves, but also of other pupils, their parents and teachers, as it is important to recognise that the situation related to the issue of transgender is very challenging for those around the pupil who identifies as such. Firstly, the thesis presents a theoretical framework in which it defines the basic concepts related to transgender issues, describes the development of gender identity in children and adolescents, explains the process of gender reassignment in the Czech Republic and shows the results of current research, which shows that the situation for transgender pupils and students is not yet favourable in the school environment. Secondly, the thesis analyses the selected documents in terms of their content in order to find out and, if necessary, to investigate whether there is currently any...

Application of pupillometry during measurement of the defocused curve
Musilová, Kateřina ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design algorithm that will detect pupil from video. The theoretical knowledge necessary for proper pupil detection is also described in this master’s thesis. Detection is done on 24 videos that are converted to single images. The complete result the dependence of the pupil diameter on the used dioptre. The overall success rate of the algorithm is 88,13 %. The overall error is 11,87 %. For 17 out of 24 patients, it is confirmed that the greater the dioptre, the larger the pupil.
Pupil and iris center detection
Prosser, Jan ; Chmelík, Jiří (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This thesis is aimed at image processing to obtain informations about the center of pupil and iris, the pupillar and limbic boundary from grayscale images of the eye. An introduction describes general research in topic of pupil, iris and changes in size of pupil. There are mentioned articles dealing with the detection of the center of pupil and iris. These articles were used as an inspiration for proposal of detection methods used in this work. The introduction ends with description of designed approaches of detection of parameters of pupil and iris in images of CASIA-Iris-Interval database. The second, practical part of this work, is dedicated to description of acquisition system, which was compiled to obtain proper images of eye. Individual analysis of methods used to obtain parameters of pupil and iris follows after that. There are two methods of detection of center of pupil and pupillar boundary, one method determines center of iris and limbic boundary. Last method detects centers and boundaries of pupil and iris at one time. The end of this work is dedicated to analysis of results of designed methods. Analysis includes score of successfulness of detection, statistical analysis, discussion of changes in pupillary diameter depending on the light conditions and changes in position of center of pupil during constriction and dilatation of pupil.
