This bachelor's thesis deals with the ethics of journalism and its setting in the context of contemporary media education. The first part first defines the basic concepts and associated sub-chapters, which set the context for the whole thesis. Subsequently, the two central themes are brought together in suggestions on how to grasp and integrate the issue of journalistic ethics into the teaching of media education. The content of the bachelor's thesis also includes the opinions of teachers who, among other things, deal with media issues in their pedagogical work. The opinions of a media expert have not been omitted. In the conclusion of the thesis, the pros and possible cons of incorporating media education into the pupil's education are presented.
Coverage of mauammar gaddafi's death in selected czech and foreign daily newspapers

The Bachelor thesis "Coverage of Muammar Gaddadi's Death In Selected Czech and Foreign Daily Newspapers" deals with the complex issue of the ethics of depiction of death in newspapers. The aim of this thesis is to compare the ways in which different Czech and foreign daily newspapers covered the death of the Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi in October 2011. The theoretical part aims to explain the importance of news values, which are important factors in defining news in media, as well as it describes the ways in which death or suffering is illustrated in photography, what effects those photographs can have on the readers, why media publish such images and what are the rules for publication of pictures concerning suffering in the codes of individual media. In the second part, visual material of five Czech and five foreign media is analysed, using he content analysis for pictures related to Gaddafi's death. Selected Czech newspapers are Mladá fronta DNES, Lidové noviny, Hospodářské noviny, Právo, Pražský deník; selected foreign newspapers are USA Today, Financial Times, Le Monde, Frankurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Süddeutche Zeitung. Each case is described in detail, the most important findings are then summed up in the conclusion.
NEWS SERVICE OF TV NOVA COMPARED TO THE CZECH TV CODE, WITH SPECIAL SIGHT TO VIOLENCE, BRUTAL SHOTS AND VICTIMS

The main objectives of this bachelor's thesis are ethical aspects of the main evening news on Nova TV, Televizní noviny. Previously the bachelor's thesis summarizes the key facts from history and evolution in branch of Media ethics and selfregulation. There is a brief overview of the period when the media was under the influence of the state and church, then a brief history of Media ethics evolution in The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Germany and Slovakia. The main part of the bachelor's thesis discusses history of media ethics in the Czech Republic after the Velvet Revolution in 1989. An extensive chapter is devoted to the creation, development and current form of the Czech TV Code. On the border between the theoretical and practical part of thesis the are chapters about differences betweeen Televizní noviny and Události and comparison of these two type of news. In the last part of the bachelor's thesis the ethically controversial aspects are examined and compared to the Czech TV Code and in case of misconduct there are descriptions of the most frequently indiscretions.
Chosen ethically disputable aspects in the czech audiovisual media coverage about organization Islamic state

I deal in master thesis with reflection of audiovisual media in the Czech Republic and their work with events of terroristic attacks of Islamic State. I focused on main broadcasting which are the most representative material for the form of image of approaches of particular media. In theoretic part I deal with organization Islamic state and symbiotic relation between terrorism and media. We encouter a new phenomena of terrorism which can adapt for new media, social sites and which can work also with audiovisual agenda. I try to get closer and try to set the ethics of west media and I am looking for answers which are underlay of chosen literature or contemporary codified standards (f.e. BBC Editorial Guidelines). I compare new phenomena of terrorism and media reflection with current sociological trends and create terrorism and his work in media in "liquid times". In practical part I deal with specific events of terroristic attacks of ISIS in Europe and I search ethical questionable aspects in content of czech AV media. I am looking for specific points on the relief of terroristic attacks which broadcasters do. Based on the theoretical part I focus next to primary also on secondary ethically questionable aspects which are result of symbiotic relation between media and terrorism.
Media discourse of the regulation of media with an attention to cases of publicising information from phone hacking-comparative analysis of Czech and British daily newspapers

This thesis is concerned with the media image of Czech and British press regulation, with a focus on daily newspapers. The theoretical part deals with selected normative requirements for media, the concept of public interest, the legislative framework of the press operation in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom, self-regulation mechanisms of the British press, and, last but not least, ethical norms and professional practice that comes with the occupation of a journalist. The thesis also presents the main representatives and the basis of critical discourse analysis, the selected procedures of which are then used in the follow-up study of media content. The analytical part focuses on the discourse of selected Czech and British daily newspapers and examines it in the context of two events associated with state intervention into media regulation. Inthe case of the Czech Republic it is the approval of Law no. 52/2009, titled by the media as "muzzle law", in the case of the United Kingdom we are concerned with the exposal of illegal methods for obtaining information by News of the World, a British weekly. Ethical codex and internal guidelines of the czech news agency

This thesis is dedicated to the Czech News Agency (CTK) and its internal regulation. The regulation is an example of applied ethics in media and of self-regulatrion of this area. CTK was established in 1918 and its role has changed through the coming years, but first codified internal regulation came in 1990's. This thesis describes structure of the regulation, analyses its development and is searching for the relationship between the changes of regulation and the external environment of the agency. The set of regulations is also compared with relevant codes other media and news agencies. The result of the thesis is that CTK's regulation basically complies with general requirements placed on journalistic work and also comply with codes compared. Lower level of standards have changed through the years, but mainly due to technical development and widely spreading internet. The influence of concrete mistakes in the produced news is only marginal.
The progress of self-regulation of journalism in slovakia after 1989 with special emphasis on slovak journalist syndicate's role

This work describes the evolution of journalistic self-regulatory environment in the Slovak Republic since 1989 and records all the important elements that influence this process and systematically organize them. These elements are primarily a press council, codes of ethics as a normative-ethical elements, educational system of Slovak journalists and members of the journalistic community institutionalization of professional organizations. The institutionalization as an essential element of professional autonomy implies an emphasis on detailed description of the Slovak Syndicate of Journalists as the largest and most influential journalist organization in the Slovak Republic. The main objective was to describe the self-regulatory structure of the media landscape during one generation replacement, that has undergone a sudden change in political environment. Implementation of the capture of this particular development process is based on media- generated theoretical framework, which was created as interconnection of views of leading experts of mass media theory, media ethics and law.
