RFID based attedance system design

This thesis describes the design of applications for attendance system. The first part describes today's modern applications and basic information about RFID technology. The second part deals with the design, of SQL database applications and own attendance system application. The last part describes the instructions and suggestions for possible improvements and expansion, which is described in the conclusion.

Electronic attendance system

The goal of the bachelor thesis “Electronic Attendance System” is create a full-featured interactive and modern attendance system with web page, server and database. Employees will be able to create attendance records by attaching the RFID chip to hardware part of an attendance system. Database records will be possible to browse, edit end export to a CSV file.

Attendance System with Access Terminal

This paper deals with the design of access terminal and attendance system. It describes access terminal hardware design, implementation of its control program and serverside attendance system program and the communication between these two programs. The whole system is designed to be easily scalable both in count of the access terminals used as well as in adding of new features.

The content of this diploma thesis is design of a mobile application of attendance system for a selected company. The mobile application is designed for the Android operating system and, in addition to the design itself, the thesis also contains a risk analysis and time analysis for the smooth implementation of the entire project. Part of the work is also decicated to a detailed analysis of the current state and requirements for the application in the selected company, on the basis of which this mobile application is designed. The proposed solution should contribute to the overall efficiency of attendance recording in the selected company.
