Information as a key to satisfaction and a source of problems" - Doctors' view on informed consent
Kočová, Aneta ; Hasmanová Marhánková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Vokřálová, Eliška (referee)
The thesis discusses the topic of informed consent, the meaning of which was originally the protection of patients' autonomy from the hegemony of doctors, which in postmodern society has been extended to the protection of doctors from the complaints of patients who use their acquired power. The issue is viewed from the perspective of doctors working in departments of neurology in the public care sector. The paper focuses on how these physicians perceive informed consent, and how they obtain it from patients in today's society, which has undergone significant changes since its inception and implementation. The aim of this paper is therefore to explore how perceptions of 'informed' and 'consent' relate to their understanding of their relationship with patients and to outline the tools and practices they use to achieve informed consent from patients. As part of the qualitative research, eight semi-structured interviews were conducted with doctors currently working in a department of neurology. These interviews were then analysed using a segmentation and coding method. In this thesis, the findings are divided into three main chapters. First, the topic of perceptions of informed consent and its meaning is discussed, and the influence of internet sources of information for patients and its impact on the...
Self-directed learning as an essential part of professional development of a language-oriented professional
Autonomous Beehive
Václavič, Jiří ; Nosko, Svetozár (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this work was to construct an electronically controlled beehive. A crucial element of the project was to conduct thorough research on existing IoT and other electronic solutions used in beekeeping. It was essential to analyze the available hardware and software technologies that could be applied to the given issue and select those most suitable for this purpose. Based on the acquired knowledge, individual parts of the beehive were designed and manufactured using a 3D printer. These parts were specially modified to enable the integration of various sensors. An integral part of the solution is also the ventilation system and the custom design of motorized beekeeping frames, which allow for automatic honey collection. Sensor outputs and other data needed to inform the beekeeper about the colony's status are displayed on a web server, to which they are sent via MQTT communication.
Protecting an Individual from Deprivation of Citizenship of the Union
Uradnik, Šimon ; Exner, Jan (advisor) ; Svobodová, Magdaléna (referee)
Protecting an Individual from Deprivation of Citizenship of the Union This master's thesis poses a central research question of whether the factual relationship between the European Union and a Union citizen is of such quality that it gives rise to the factual relation in the form of the genuine link, respectively, whether the legal relationship between the same subjects is of such quality that it gives rise to the legal relation in the form of the direct bond. As for the genuine link, the assessment is constructed on the basis of two aspects, namely-the mutual societal attachment of Union citizens to the European Union, and the shared political interests of Union citizens, in the sense of shared concern in politics and of shared political objectives. On the other hand, in terms of the direct bond, the legal relationship between the European Union and a Union citizen is examined through two prisms, namely-the autonomy of the form-status of Union citizenship, and the nonvicariousness of the content-rights of Union citizenship. The actual assessment of the factual relationship is conducted on the data from the Eurobarometer, and turnouts of the European Parliament elections in 2019 and of national elections by that time. The examination of the legal relationship is performed by virtue and postulates...
Application of the principle of autonomy in the field of death and dying of seniors in the Czech Republic
D´mello, Petra ; Fošum, Jan (advisor) ; Svoboda, David (referee)
Diploma thesis "Application of the principle of autonomy in the field of death and dying of seniors in the Czech Republic" primaly deals with issues related to the right to self-determination, human dignity and desires associated with the end of life. It seeks to answer the question of the extent to which the autonomy of the individual can be respected and to participate in end-of-life healthcare decisions through the legal concept of living will, even if the person is in a position that does not allow to express the will. Although this institute is firmly rooted in the legal order of the Czech Republic, awareness of this legal concept is insufficient among the public and rarely used, unlike the Federal Republic of Germany, where the institute is usually applied by seniors. The aim of the work is to reflect the current issues of dying and death from an ethical point of view and provide comprehensive information on the current possibilities of exercising the right to self-determination, which can significantly support the quality of human care in the terminal phase of life.
Intelligent Fighting Units
Kužela, Martin ; Janeček, Petr (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
The field training of army units includes high financial, material and human resource investments. From this reason, an emphasis on the simulator training of these units arised recently. But the training in simulator needs to have the simulated units as intelligent as a human beings are, so the field training with real human opponents can be successfully replaced with the simulator training. This work deals with the design of fighting unit's intelligent behaviour, that will be applicable in the E-COM simulator environment. Work covers the description of intelligent agents and ways how to achieve their rational and autonomous behaviour. The proposal and the analysis of intelligent fighting unit's implementation and unit's communication with surrounding environment, basic implementation of this proposal and experiments with created implementation are also described in this work.
Design of experimental mobile robot
Blatoň, Jan ; Řezníček, Svatopluk (referee) ; Čoupek, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis solves a design, structural design and subsequent vehicle body manufacture of experimental mobile robot Car4. The aim is proposition of uncommon and timeless vehicle body provided that all technical and technological requirements are complied. Design of Autonomous Delivery Robot
Ianishevskaia, Darina ; Surman, Martin (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the design of an autonomous delivery robot, designed for the delivery of food and groceries over shorter distances. The diploma thesis includes design and technical analysis of existing products and deals with the design of an autonomous delivery robot. The proposed concept solves the technical shortcomings of current products and its design reflects new possibilities in the field of autonomous delivery systems.

Design of a Mobile Robotic Platform
Kolář, Vít ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
This thesis focuses on a design of a mobile robotic platform for an autonomous grass-reaping machine controlled by wireless connected computer. There is some information about the creation and objects of this project in the beginning and than the reader is made familiar with two autonoumous grass-reaping machines that are already on the market. The main chapter describes all the robots subsystems such as senzory, motoric and control subsystem. The issue of power supply and navigation is also mentioned. All these parts are beeing described both theoretically and from the point of autonomous grass-reaping machine as well.
