Lidar systems testing considerations for field use
Picmausová, Helena ; Farlík, Jan ; Eichhorn, Marc ; Kieleck, Christelle
The aim of this paper is to offer a perspective on testing a commercially available lidar system in order to determine its suitability for various practical tasks including mapping, object recognition, and the potential in its coupling with another sensor, in this case a camera. Several mapping missions were carried out over the course of the experiment, with both the lidar and the camera mounted on an Unmanned Aircraft System. Aside from mapping ordinary objects like trees, vehicles, people, and ground elevation, a standardized test target was designed for the purposes of the experiment, and placed in detection area. Influence of external factors on system performance was evaluated, e.g. atmospheric conditions and material properties of scanned surfaces, especially their reflectivity. Post processing of obtained data was carried out, demonstrating the potential of overlaying multiple sensor data for easier object recognition, and an optimal use case for the system is suggested.

The bachelor thesis deals with teachers' attitudes towards pupils leaving for multi-year grammar schools. The thesis works with the current professional debate, which systematically points out the negative impact of multi-year grammar schools on the Czech education system, and with the findings on the attitudes of educational actors. The thesis is based primarily on interactionist and cultural approaches to understanding educational inequalities. The aim of the thesis is to provide insights into teachers' attitudes and approaches towards pupils leaving for multi-year grammar schools. Furthermore, the thesis attempts to understand the changes perceived by teachers in relation to the departure of some pupils to grammar schools. To achieve these objectives, a qualitative methodology based on seven semi-structured interviews with teachers of fourth or fifth year primary school was used. The work enriches the characteristics of pupils leaving for multi-year grammar schools. It brings the perspective of primary school teachers on these pupils and the course of differentiation itself. Furthermore, the thesis problematizes the distinct social conditioning of the characteristics and expressions by which teachers identify students.
Internal scope of action of the Supervisory Board of a limited liability company and the powers of its members
Tobolka, Filip ; Tomášek, Petr (advisor) ; Hurychová, Klára (referee)
Internal scope of action of the Supervisory Board of a limited liability company and the powers of its members Abstract The supervisory board is a typical internal control body, which can be found mainly in the organisational structure of joint-stock companies. In the context of a limited liability company, the control activity is primarily left to the partners. However, the increasing complexity of the business environment creates pressure for the professionalisation of activities within business companies, one of which may be the establishment of professional supervisory boards in limited liability companies. Despite this, the topic of supervisory boards of limited liability companies and their activities has yet to receive adequate attention in the domestic literature. The thesis focuses primarily on providing a comprehensive overview of the internal control activity of the supervisory board of a limited liability company, both in terms of the scope and focus of the control activity and its process. In connection with the course of control activities, attention is also paid to the definition of the core authorisations with which the supervisory board is equipped to perform its duties and the clarification of the conditions under which the supervisory board (or its members) is authorised to use them. In...
Faulty body posture in children of early school age and the possibility of its influence by dynamic neuromuscular stabilization: an interventional non-randomized study
Jílková, Adéla ; Bartlová, Petra (advisor) ; Benešová, Adéla (referee)
This bachelor thesis examines the influence of faulty body posture in children of younger school age through dynamic neuromuscular stabilization, specifically the DNS FIT KID program. The theoretical part includes information about the overall development in childhood from birth to younger school age, valuable insights into posture, correct and faulty body posture, and knowledge about dynamic neuromuscular stabilization with the DNS FIT KID program. Within this program, the principle and application of exercises with exercise positions are described. Two groups of 6 subjects each were created, aged 7 to 10, with different approaches to exercise according to the DNS FIT KID program. One group exercised once a week for one hour under my personal supervision, as I have completed the licensed DNS FIT KID course. The other group was initially instructed in the DNS FIT KID program for home exercise. Exercise frequency, body posture quality, and performance of exercises from the program were monitored. The entire intervention for both groups lasted a total of 3 months. Subjects in the group with regularly guided intervention were examined at the beginning and the end of the intervention period. During these examinations, body posture quality was assessed, functional dynamic tests were performed, and DNS...
Evaluation of the pharmacological properties of new potential drugs for Alzheimer's disease
Čechová, Pavlína ; Šorf, Aleš (advisor) ; Urbánková Rathouská, Jana (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy Student: Pavlína Čechová Supervisor: PharmDr. Aleš Šorf, Ph.D. Consultant: mjr. PharmDr. Vendula Hepnarová, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Assessment of pharmacological properties of new potencial drugs for Alzheimer's disease treatment Alzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative disease with a progressive and irreversible course. The cause of AD is still not exactly known. There are currently four drugs available that have been approved by the State Institute for Drug Control. Three of them act as cholinesterase inhibitors (donepezil, rivastigmine, galantamine) and the fourth one as a N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist (memantine). Unfortunately, these drugs do not affect the course of the disease and provide only temporary symptomatic relief. An important area of current research is MTDLs (Multi-Target Directed Ligands), which act on multiple target structures related to the pathophysiology of the disease. These agents represent a promising therapeutic strategy. The aim of the study was to measure the ability to inhibit human acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BuChE) of 58 new potential MTDLs derived from biphenyl and benzhydryl using Ellman's method, as well as...

The submitted bachelor thesis is titled "Fitness Training for Junior Tennis Players." The main objective of the bachelor thesis is to create a fitness program based on the study of professional literature and previous experiences from qualified courses and studies at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport (FTVS). The fitness program was developed for a group of three boys and three girls, and its effectiveness was verified through pre-test and post-test measurements. Within this bachelor thesis, a qualitative method was utilized - testing according to the testing batteries of the Czech Tennis Association (ČTS) and the International Tennis Federation (ITF). The results were compared with the standards of the Czech Tennis Association and the German Tennis Association. It was found that the training program we created was effective in 9 out of 10 tests. One unsuccessful test concerned endurance and was created by the International Tennis Federation. Improvement in endurance test according to the Czech Tennis Association occurred in all children of the tested group. The program thus brought improvement in dynamic strength, speed abilities, coordination, flexibility, and endurance capabilities by 50%. In comparison with the standards of the Czech Tennis Association, it was found that some children...
Implementation of thermal convection model in ASPECT
Štencová, Ivana ; Čížková, Hana (advisor) ; Čadek, Ondřej (referee)
The outermost layer of the Earth, the lithosphere, is broken into several pieces called lithospheric plates. These plates move relative to each other at a rate of several centimeters per year. In regions where two tectonic plates meet, one plate may be forced beneath the other, a process known as subduction. One of the most important tools enabling us to study this phenomenon is nu- merical modeling of thermal convection. Dozens of different programs are used within the international geodynamic community to solve the system of equa- tions describing the flow. Among them, a software package called ASPECT has been gaining prominence recently. ASPECT utilizes the finite element method to solve the governing equations and is particularly distinguished by its imple- mented adaptive mesh refinement. This feature is highly practical when study- ing subduction of lithospheric plates, as it allows for precise resolution of the narrow deformation zone at the plate boundaries. In the course of our work, we compared this program with the alternative software package SEPRAN, which has been used at the Department of Geophysics since the late 1990s. A sub- duction model with a mobile overriding plate was created in ASPECT, and its results were compared with an equivalent model implemented in SEPRAN. The fundamental...
Correlation of Molecular Biology and Imunohistochemistry Methods in the Diagnostics of Head and Neck Tumors
Klubíčková, Natálie ; Skálová, Alena (advisor) ; Mandys, Václav (referee) ; Stárek, Ivo (referee)
The increasing use of molecular-genetic methods in recent decades has facilitated precise classification of head and neck tumors. This has led to the identification of new entities among salivary, mesenchymal, and sinonasal tumors. Accurate classification not only aids in predicting disease course and determining appropriate treatment intensity but also holds significance in cases where mutations can be targeted with specific therapy. Additionally, newly available immunohistochemical markers can in some cases reliably replace part of the genetic analysis, which brings with it economic advantages and a shorter time needed to examine the biopsy material. The dissertation summarizes and comments on the publication activity of the author regarding salivary, sinonasal and mesenchymal tumors, with a particular focus on their molecular-genetic background and immunohistochemical findings. In the field of salivary tumors, the discussion revolves around the detection of NR4A3 and NR4A2 gene rearrangements in acinic cell carcinoma, as well as the genetic background of sclerosing polycystic adenoma and its implications on morphology and immunoprofile of individual cases. Furthermore, the dissertation lists four publications presenting various cases of sinonasal tumors, ranging from rare types of sinonasal...
