Compounds with potential antimicrobial effect
Marková, Aneta ; Soukup, Ondřej (advisor) ; Kolář, Milan (referee) ; Otřísal, Pavel (referee)
The thesis deals with the synthesis and evaluation of quaternary ammonium salts. The theoretical part describes the chemical structure of these substances, their physico-chemical properties and decontamination capabilities. The experimental part deals mainly with the synthesis of new quaternary ammonium salts, but also with the extension of the spectrum of commonly used substances (benzoxonium salts). The research work includes the preparation of mono-quaternary and bis- quaternary derivatives. The following part of the experimental work focuses on the decontamination capabilities of CAS, the determination of the critical micellar concentration as a fundamental characteristic of these surfactants and the determination of cytotoxicity as their fundamental biological characteristic. Methods for determining the minimum inhibitory and bactericidal concentration on selected planktonic forms of bacteria and determining the minimum biofilm eradicating concentration on two bacterial biofilms were also included as characteristics of potentially decontaminating properties of a biological nature. This work also deals with the evaluation of antiviral activity on murine cytomegalovirus and new type of coronavirus . The above-mentioned determination of the critical micellar concentration is necessary to...
Proper nouns in the travel book of Milota Zdirad Polák
MARKOVÁ, Aneta
This master's thesis deals with geographicals names and personal names in Polak's travelogue called Cesta do Itálie. This travelogue concerns his wayfaring in Italy in the beginning of the 19th century. I excerpted the discussed onomastic material and subjected it to linguistic analysis. To do so, I employed traditional classification methods while especially focusing on variable ways of transcribing proper names, especially exonyms.
Assisting Charles University Students with Special needs
Marková, Aneta ; Strnadová, Iva (advisor) ; Hájková, Vanda (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Education Department of Special Pedagogy ASSISTING CHARLES UNIVERSITY STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS Aneta Marková Supervisor: Doc. PhDr. Iva Strnadová, PhD. Annotation The thesis aims at analyzing the service of Assisting Charles University Students with Special Needs from the point of view of all the parties concerned. It exploers both weaknesses and strenghts of the service by means of analyzing interviews with Charles University members of staff, who represent the service in the Office for Students with Special Needs, with users of the service, and particularly with its "providers" or assistants themselves. Proposals to solve possible problems are included. The thesis is based on the results of a questionaire and an analysis of interviews with 33 assistants and 10 users of the service. Key words: Student assistance, students with special needs, Charles University program Resume The thesis presents the results of a research into the service of Assisting Charles University Students with Special Needs from the point of view of all the parties concerned. It reconstructs an image of the functioning of the service as it is conceived by individuals by means of a questionare and an analysis of interviews with assistants as well as users of the service. The service is based...
Stable isotopes in study of diet in Ursidae, including fossil taxa.
Marková, Aneta ; Horáček, Ivan (advisor) ; Čermák, Stanislav (referee)
Composition of food of members of the family Ursidae is often discussed topic. Up to now, however, there is some uncertainty about the trophic level of some fossil groups. Very useful method which helps us to determine the trophic level of the fossil species and determine the relative proportion of plant and animal components in the recent ones is the analysis of the stable isotopes. This study summarizes present state of methodological approaches and possibilities of use of the stable isotopes 13 C and 15 N in the study of foraging ecology of bears. The results of the analysis of stable isotopes are presented together with results obtained by other methods. Attention is paid to groups for which the relevant isotopic data are available, with special emphasis on the cave bear, which trophic level is evaluated on the basis of stable isotopes analysis as well as in the evolutionary and nutrition context.
Changes in foster care in our country until 1989
Marková, Aneta ; Kodymová, Pavla (advisor) ; Brnula, Peter (referee)
The diploma thesis captures the genesis of foster care in our territory from the beginning to 1989. Emphasis is placed on important historical milestones that have influenced the development of foster care. The aim of the work is based on the comparison of analyzed historical documents with the findings contained in secondary sources focused on the procedures of the foster care subjects of the time to find out how this care was provided in that period, and thus expand the current state of research. Keywords: History, orphanage, foundling, foster care, home law, family law
Inclusive Volunteering - The volunteer activity of people with a disability
Marková, Aneta ; Pospíšilová, Tereza (advisor) ; Frič, Pavol (referee) ; Matulayová, Tatiana (referee)
Volunteering is a phenomenon that appeals to researchers, representatives of international institutions and governments in some countries, as a tool of social policy. Current research shows positive benefits of volunteering for the society but also for volunteers themselves. In this context, a new phenomenon, called inclusive volunteering, is emerging, which emphasizes that volunteering is open to all people in the society. At present, however, this phenomenon is not fully elucidated and researches that examine volunteering from the point of view of volunteers themselves, when considering inklusive volunteering, are very rare. The presented work aims to fill in the missing knowledge and thus contribute to the recognition of the phenomenon of volunteering through research of the previously very little known group of volunteers with a disability. The research sample consists of 27 volunteers with a disability who were interviewed. The interviews were analysed by the Strauss and Corbin's theory. The research has revealed that volunteers with a disability are experiencing a lack of social participation due to the absence of a socially valuable social role. The absence of a social role encourages the search for a new socially valuable social role that the volunteers with a disability find in...

Development of a sensing platform for the study of physiological functions of living cells
Marková, Aneta ; Víteček, Jan (referee) ; Vala, Martin (advisor)
The aim was to develop a sensing platform on the base of organic electrochemical transistor (OECT). The focus was on the preparation of proper electrode system and on optimalization of properties of thin layer of organic semiconductor. As a base, commercial glass substrates with integrated indium-tin oxide electrodes were chosen. Thin layers were prepared from organic semiconductor poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) by spin-coating. Four formulations of material were studied. Layers with different thickness were prepared and the dependence of transconductance on the thickness of the layer and ratio of width and length was observed. The degradation of electrode system was solved by galvanic plating with gold. Attention was also paid to modifications to PEDOT: PSS. It has been found that the optimal layer thickness for use in sensors is approximately 150 nm. By reducing the series resistance by using a silver paste, the transconductance of 23 mS was obtained for the Ink 2, for the Ink 3 the transconductance was 44 mS. Sensoric platforms with these transconductances can be used for detection of physiological functions of electrogenic cells, e.g. cardiomyocytes.
Evaluation of veterinary inspection in food safety
MARKOVÁ, Aneta
Healthy hygiene surveillance is carried out at all stages of the production process, from raw materials to the sale of animal products. The aim of this diploma thesis was to evaluate the results of inspections of the food processing industry which are carried out by the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic (SVA CR). The specific focus was on the monitoring for foreign substances and the results of hygienic inspections done in food processing industry, mainly in dairy sector. Regular monitoring was the likely cause for the steadily decreasing number of positive findings in the samples which were tested for foreign substances. In the evaluation of the veterinary and hygiene audits carried out by the SVA CR, it was found that the dairy sector attained superior results as compared to other animal product sectors.
