The history of Rokytnice nad Rokytnou in the first half of the 20th century
Herbrych, Petr ; Čechurová, Jana (advisor) ; Stehlík, Michal (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the history of Rokytnice nad Rokytnou, a small town situated in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands ten kilometres from the town of Třebíč. The focus is on the first half of the 20th century, which brought significant events in this village. The thesis itself deals with the history of Rokytnice nad Rokytnou from many points of view. The demographic development and development of the municipality, the functioning of local self-government, the activities of emerging associations and the operation of two age-old institutions, namely the school and the parish, are examined. There is also an insight into everyday life in the local village. The destinies of many Rokytnice families were also influenced by war conflicts and two totalitarian regimes. Rokytnice is largely affected by events from the early 50's in the Třebíč region. In connection with the so-called Babice case, the priest Jan Bula and the twenty years old Drahoslav Němec were executed, and nine of Rokytnice citizens and one native were also sent to prison. The diploma thesis also deals with the impact of the mentioned events on local citizens. The events in Rokytnice nad Rokytnou also influenced each other with the surrounding villages, especially Chlístov, Markvartice and Římov. For this reason, these villages are...
The story of Josef Hasil in the miniseries The King of Šumava The Phantom of the Dark Land and its media response
Fortuníková, Jana ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor) ; Novotný, David Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the anti-myth and myth of Josef Hasil, a smuggler from the Šumava region and the most famous bearer of the nickname "King of Šumava". The thesis reflects his image before 1989, which was fundamentally influenced by the famous propaganda film Smugglers of Death (Král Šumavy) from 1959. After the Velvet Revolution, the purification of Hasil's reputation was attempted when his life was being reinterpreted based on facts. His dramatic fate has also been featured in post communist popular culture titles. The most successful representative could be classified as a biographical novel about Josef Hasil called Návrat Krále Šumavy from 2012. The novel inspired narration of three-part miniseries King of Šumava: Phantom of the Dark Region (Král Šumavy: Fantom temného kraje) (2022) produced by a commercial TV station and distributed on its VOD platform Voyo. Both projects present their effort to straighten out the fates of Hasil's life, yet there is admitted fabrication in the story. However, an analysis of the texts of both works shows that the revision of historical reality is not neutral and corresponds to the post communist discourse on the perception of heroes of the third resistance, which can lead to their exclusive glorification and the suppression of discussion about the...
Marketing in online gaming environment aimed at children
Hnátková, Petra ; Rosenfeldová, Jana (advisor) ; Houdek, Petr (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of marketing aimed at children in the online gaming environment, specifically on the children's perception and understanding of it. The theoretical part defines the concept of marketing aimed at children and deals with the associated legislation. It then examines marketing in the online gaming environment, its development and its form in two selected cases, i.e. within the Roblox gaming platform and in the Fortnite game. Subsequently, the thesis examines children's perceptions of marketing based on previous research and the critical perspective of experts on marketing in the online gaming environment aimed at children. The research part of the thesis investigates the perceptions and understandings of marketing to children in Roblox and Fortnite by children aged 8-17. The results of the quantitative questionnaire survey show that only two-fifths of children understand the marketing purpose of brands within games. However, this ability improves with age. At the same time, a possible correlation was found between understanding of the marketing purpose and two other factors: time spent with the games and interest in making purchases in both of the games.

Post-Covid syndrome was/is suffered by 62 respondents (11.36%) and the most affected organ systems were lungs (46.77%), nervous system (32.26%), senses (30.65%), muscles...
Pharmacological modulation of endoglin expression in the liver in an animal model of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis
V této studii byli myší samci rozděleni do kontrolní skupiny, skupiny (vysokotukové diety) CDAA+rat IgG a skupiny CDAA+M1043, přičemž poslední dvě skupiny byly krmeny CDAA- HFD vyvolávající změny NASH. Myši byly po dobu čtyř týdnů léčeny přípravkem M1043 a vzorky jater byly analyzovány na expresi proteinů ENG, ICAM-1 a VCAM-1. Výsledky ukázaly, že CDAA-HFD vyvolala poškození jater, což se projevilo zvýšením jaterních enzymů a zvýšenou expresí ENG, ICAM-1 a VCAM-1. Důležité je, že podávání M1043 významně zabránila...
New procedures for evaluating concrete in existing construction
Juřenová, Jana ; Kocáb, Dalibor (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis seeks to increase the awareness of the possibility of using the ultrasonic pulse method for the diagnosis of building structures. It emphasises the use of non-destructive methods, highlighting their ability to provide comparable results to traditional destructive methods of assessment, whilst minimising interference to the structure. The work includes reporting on the procedures for determining the characteristic compressive strength of concrete in existing structures as defined in EN 13791, updated in 2021. The work focuses primarily on calibrating results from non-destructive indirect measurements with those obtained destructively using core borings.
