The work begins with an introduction to plasma itself, covering the theory related to topics important for understanding the issues of plasma cutting and the operation of plasma cutting machines. This section is followed by review and market research in field of plasma cutting machines. Furthermore, the thesis establishes specific requirements and characteristics that are necessary for the actual design of the machine. The next section proposes various solution concepts and selects the optimal variants of the main parts of the machine, including supporting structure, type of drive, linear guides, electric drive, plasma torch, power source, safety and other elements. The selected parts are verified using design calculations. The actual design of the machine and the drawing documentation are created in Solidworks 2023. The conclusion of the thesis presents the final design, proposes possible improvements, compares the results with the set goals, and gives a final evaluation of the designed plasma cutting machine.
Milling multifunctional machining center with horizontal spindle axis
Kalivoda, Petr ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis addresses the design concept of a milling multifunctional machining center with a horizontal spindle axis, applying the methodology of the three pillars of the Brno Design School. Based on market analysis, the machining centers are classified according to construction nodes, with a specific focus on the rough construction structure. By applying a systematic approach to finding a suitable milling multifunctional machining center concept, essential system variables that affect and influence the machine are identified and derived. The thesis presents the concepts of four machines, which are evaluated using a multi-criteria method called PATTERN. The criteria derived from the system of essential variables are applied to this evaluation method. From a technical-economic perspective, the most optimal concept is a concrete machine with a box-in-box design. This concept is subjected to basic calculations of cutting forces and performances. The result of the thesis is the optimal design concept of the milling multifunctional machining center with a horizontal spindle axis and the technical calculations of the optimal variant.
A design of thermoforming device
Vozár, Vojtěch ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Tůma, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design proposal of a machine for thermoforming using and vacuum. The research part of this thesis discusses the technology of thermoforming plastics, production process, and tools used in thermoforming. Research part also includes a description of the machines available on the market. Following chapters describe the requirements for the machine, selection of design variants based on the weighted values method, and detailed design of the machine. Final part of thesis provides an estimate of the machine's cost and an evaluation of the results of the work. Bachelor thesis includes a 3D model created in SOLIDWORKS 2023 and chosen technical drawings.
Construction and application of mobile robots suitable for non-industrial (non-production) use
Kocanda, Jakub ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with mobile robots, their construction, applications in many non-manufacturing spheres. The literature search summarizes the principles of construction of these robots based on their possible application in a wide range of work environments. The research also includes an analysis of the key factors that affect their functionality and efficiency in assigned tasks and situations. In the next part are presented advances and potential directions for innovation in this area by using examples from practice. The summary of the work is to evaluate the key aspects and suggest further possible procedures in the development of these intelligent machines, in order to achieve a comprehensive understanding of this diverse subject.
Exponentiation of general algebraic systems
Kamenský, David ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Šlapal, Josef (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis, we study the powers of general algebraic systems and pay special attention to the first exponential law. In particular, we formulate sufficient requirements for it to apply in relational systems, partial algebras, hyperalgebras and general algebras. We then investigate the structure of diagonal and medial relational systems and give several illustrative examples for the concepts studied.
Design of a double column hydraulic jack
Hladík, Radim ; Tůma, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
The master's thesis includes the design of a double-column lift as well as an introduction to electric vehicle servicing. Additionally, market research is conducted based on defined problem requirements. Four design variants are proposed, and the most suitable one is selected using multicriteria analysis. Risk analysis and dimensioning calculations are prepared according to relevant directives and standards. The selected variant is then processed into a 3D model using Solidworks 2018 software. The 3 D models are converted into drawing documentation. In conclusion, there are recommendations for practical implementation and evaluation of the work results.
Design of the linear axis for the centroscope measuring device
Kopec, Adam ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Holub, Michal (advisor)
The final thesis deals with the creation of a structural design of a linear motion axis for the measuring device centroskop. A search in the field of offered centroscopes was carried out and the following work was based on the specified parameters. In the system analysis, the use of the given types of design nodes was considered. The basic concept of the machine structure was finally determined by selecting a suitable variant, here multicriteria analysis was used. This was followed by a detailed design of the individual machine parts, involving engineering calculations and FEA analysis. The centroscope axis was built digitally in Autodesk Inventor. Subsequently, an assembly drawing with parts list and some additional drawings of major components were created. Beyond the brief, a basic concept of the axis support frame was also created.
Design of extend the machine with the possibility of separating 3D prints
Gonda, Josef ; Tůma, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
Separating of the metal 3D print from the print plate is a key step in most metal 3D printing methods. The author's goal is to design a device - a clamping mechanism that expands the functionality of existing band saws for metal by the possibility of comfortable separation of prints. In the beginning of the work, the author discusses the methods of metal 3D. Furthermore, the author focuses on the analysis of the market in the given issue and a brief description of the existing solutions of world/competing band saw manufacturers. Subsequently, the choice of a specific band saw is justified and the basic properties of the mechanism are determined. An essential part is the design of solution variants and the selection of a variant based on multi-criteria analysis. Furthermore, the author analyzes the design solution of the selected variant with a description of partial details, where he emphasizes compliance with the specified conditions and product optimization.
Design of the X-ray system cabinet
Slávik, Andrej ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Huzlík, Rostislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of an automated interface of sample exchange, as an extension for the existing concept of an industrial CT cabinet. The solution is intended for laboratory conditions. The design is based on the idea of a conveyor system that transports samples from a tray to the CT cabinet, where they are accurately placed on a rotating stage and prepared for CT analysis. Once the analysis is complete, the sample is returned to the tray. One of the main requirements of the solution is the continuous operation of the X-ray source, which is solved by adding a chamber to the conveyor system before the sample enters the cabinet. The design has been developed taking into account the legislative safety requirements. The work also includes a preliminary design of the workplace control and also technical drawings of the assembly.
Design of the equipment for service of injection press
