Testing of surfactants for copolymerization of acrylic monomers
Novotný, Igor ; Arvai, Tomáš (referee) ; Kučera, František (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with testing effect of surfactants for preparing acrylate copolymers of methyl methacrylate and butyl arylate via emulsion copolymerization. The effect of concentration of surfactant used to rate of copolymerization during copolymerization was investigated. By DLS was measured particle size and relative average molecular weight was determinate via capillary viscometer for characterization of prepared copolymers. Data acquired from measurements were compared and analyzed if it has some contribution when surfactants are mixed together.

Marketing Plan for company ISSO s.r.o.
Novotný, Ivan ; Kaňovská, Lucie (referee) ; Šimberová, Iveta (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor´s thesis is to prepare a draft marketing plan for ISSO, s.r.o.. In the theoretical part, knowledge about marketing, marketing communication is processed. The second analytical part includes the processing of the current situation of the company on the market. In the last part, I propose a comprehensive marketing plan that takes care of the chosen goals.

Grafting VTMOS onto PHB
Novotný, Igor ; Petruš, Josef (referee) ; Kučera, František (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the grafting of vinyltrimethoxysilane (VTMOS) onto poly(3–hydroxybutyrate)PHB. Subsequent characterization of the amount of grafted VTMOS and changes in the thermal properties associated with the rate of crystallization. The theoretical part deals with mechanism and the influences of grafting. In the experimental part VTMOS was grafted onto PHB without subjecting VTMOS to hydrolysis and subsequent crosslinking. By differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and Avrami equation, the effect of grafted silane group on pure was studied. The MVR was used to compare the rheological properties of initial PHB, grafted PHB and crosslinked PHB by siloxane linkages.

Identification of risks in the process of marketing strategy formulation and realisation and their solving
Novotný, Igor ; Válka, Vít (referee) ; Chalupský, Vladimír (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to identify the risk, emerging from use of the marketing attitude in ALL SPORTS ltd., qulify its potential impact to the operation of the company and suggest the proceeding to minimize the negative impacts. First part includes theoritical resources for exploring of the aim, there is explained basic terminology and described technique, styles and analyses that are necessary for identifying the risks, identification of the risk situation and ratio of the probability that risk situation will occure. Second part of the thesis is practical and theoretical informations mentioned in first part are applied for identification and valuation of the risks. On the basis of performed analyses I identified risks and ratio of the probability for occuring. In the last part of the thesis I described proceeding for elimination of these risks including quantification of the cost.

The role of cyclophilins in splicing
Cit, Zdeněk ; Půta, František (advisor) ; Novotný, Ivan (referee)
Splicing is a process essential for the proper functioning of eukaryotic cells. It is a complicated and highly dynamic process, participated by large numbers of proteins which perform diverse functions, either directly within the splicing complex, or sometimes outside of it. Among the proteins, which play an important role in splicing, are cyclophilins. Cyclophilins probably cause conformational changes in the other components of splicing complex. They can also maintain them in the desire conformation thereby they contribute to the dynamics of the spliceosome. This work provides an overview of cyclophilins, which were confirmed to participate on pre-mRNA splicing, and summarizes suggestions of possible functions that these proteins may perform.

Construction and evaluation of a novel protein mechanosensor
Kolomazníková, Veronika ; Rösel, Daniel (advisor) ; Novotný, Ivan (referee)
The protein p130Cas (human ortholog BCAR1) is a major substrate for phosphorylation by the Src family kinase and plays a central role in oncogenic transformation. Increased level of BCAR1 correlates with primary tumour growth and cancer progression. Localized to focal adhesion, p130Cas serves as a mechanosensor and mediates key interactions with the extracellular environment. The structure of p130Cas is crucial for its function, mainly the anchoring domains SH3 and CCH, together with the substrate domain which is extended when under tension. This Master's thesis presents a newly developer FRET mechanosensor based on the structure of p130Cas. The sensor utilizes the anchoring domains of p130Cas for proper localization to focal adhesions, where it can detect tension in living cells. Key words: p130CAS, FRET, focal adhesions, mechanosensing
