Design of Information System for Dance Center
Snášelová, Martina ; Mareš, Vlastimil (referee) ; Neuwirth, Bernard (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the design of a suitable information system for the dance center in Brno. The contents of the first part are the theoretical starting points, which are connected mainly with the analytical part of the current situation of the subject and the proposal itself. The implementation of the proposed information system will be one of the options how to increase the availability of Dance Center services for customers and to simplify the routine activities carried out in order to ensure the running of the Dance Center.

The Use of Artificial Intelligence for Solving a Scheduling problem.
Rybníček, Jan ; Mareš, Vlastimil (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with scheduling problems and algorithms usable to solve them. Scheduling algorithms seek an optimal allocation of resources over time while using constraints. Scheduling problems are often different in nature and type of constraint conditions. In the practical part is solved one particular type of scheduling problem, which is a constrained version of the common scheduling problem.
Hodnocení přirozeného zmlazení ve vybraných maloplošných chráněných územích Školního lesního podniku "Masarykův les" Křtiny
Mareš, Viktor
The objective of this work is to evaluate natural regeneration in two reserves and one management stand in school forest company Křtiny. Two field surveys were carried out, one before the growing season and second after the growing season. The work focused on sessile oak (Quercus petraea), which forms the upper storey at all sites, and it is commercial and natural species to these areas. The success and effect of habitat on regeneration was investigated. The surveys were conducted and based on the fact that 2020 was a strong seed year for sessile oak. Seedlings were evaluated in a network of plots for each site to determine the status of regeneration, and what influences it if any and also the condition of the shelterwood. In the NPR Hádecká planinka, a very poor state of natural regeneration was found, which is probably due to lack of light and competition from other tree species. In contrast, the condition at the U Vojáků site in the clearing area segment clearly shows that oak regeneration is much better in open areas with sufficient light.
On-line derivatization of saccharides in capillary electrophoresis
Mareš, Vít ; Křížek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Coufal, Pavel (referee)
Saccharides chains may suffer from various inaccuracies during their biosy- thesis, that effects their biologic functions. Therefore, they can be used for dia- gnosis of some diseases or quality control in biopharmaceutics. Capillary electro- phoresis has its place in diagnosing these occuring errors. In this thesis a method of on-line derivatization of saccharides in fused-silica capillary with 50 cm in lenght and 50 µm in inner diameter was developed. Gluco- se was used as a model molecule, which was labeled by a fluorescent derivatization reagent, 7-aminonaphthalene-1,3-disulfonic acid. Derivatization of glucose and its separation needed optimalization. First was determined an electrophoretic mo- bility of the derivatization reagent in 0.5; 1.0 and 2.5M acetic acid and 20mM phosphate buffer (pH = 3.5). Both, 2.5M acetic acid and 20mM phosphate buffer, were tested as solvents for 7-aminonaphthalene-1,3-disulfonic acid. The reaction with glucose was the best in acetic acid solution. On the contrary, phosphate buf- fer was found to be the best background electrolyte for the separation. Derivatized glucose was detected by UV detector at 229 nm. Henceforth, the reaction con- ditions were adjusted such as reaction time, voltage and time of its application. Input voltage was applied negative due to the...
Vaccine hesitancy: The journalistic ethics of reporting on the benefits and risks of vaccination
Mareš, Vít ; Kasík, Pavel (advisor) ; Moravec, Václav (referee)
The bachelor thesis "Vaccine hesitancy: The journalistic ethics of reporting on the benefits and risks of vaccination" examines how journalists perceive their role in reporting on health issues, with particular regard to vaccine hesitancy. The latter became a significant social issue during the COVID-19 pandemic. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses vaccine hesitancy itself, its possible causes, and the influence that news media and the journalists can have on it. The practical part is based on quantitative research using a questionnaire survey among journalists from selected Czech online media. It seeks to identify journalists specialising in health care, and to look for how their perspectives and practices differ from those of journalists in other specializations. Due to the small research sample, the research does not provide representative results, but with the help of open-ended questions it provides insight into certain areas of journalistic work related to vaccine and vaccination reporting.

Also SWOT analysis was used for lucid estimation of current situation of the club. Results: An accurate analysis of contemporary club situation was accomplished. On the basis of it was proposed introductions for future direction of the club in these areas: strategic goals, constitution of the association, organizational structure and competence determination, utilization of advantages of club and its opportunities, improvement of weaknesses of the club and avoidance of outer threats. Considerable part of the work is dedicated to creation of good social climate in organisation, which is essential for successful existence of club. Keywords: mission, vision, strategic objectives, strategic planning,...
Definition of the expression pattern of DASH system in transformed glial cells, the coupled expression of fibroblast activation protein and dipeptidyl peptidase-IV.
Balážiová, Eva ; Šedo, Aleksi (advisor) ; Borovanský, Jan (referee) ; Mareš, Vladislav (referee)
Dipeptidyl peptidase-IV (DPP-IV) is a multifunctional transmembrane glycoprotein removing X-Pro dipeptide from the amino-terminus of the peptide chain. This evolutionary conserved sequence protects a number of biologically active peptides against the unspecific proteolytic cleavage. DPP-IV belongs into the group of "Dipeptidyl peptidase-IV Activity and/or Structure Homologues" (DASH), which, except the canonical DPP-IV, comprises fibroblast activation protein-α/seprase (FAP), and several other molecules. However several of DASH molecules are the enzymes, they execute at least some of their biological functions by non-proteolytic protein-protein interactions. DASH molecules, their substrates and binding partners are parts of "DASH system" which is affected in several pathological process including a cancer. Specifically DPP-IV and its closest structural relative FAP are among others expected to be involved in the development and progression of malignant glioma. In this study we showed the expression and colocalization of DPP-IV and FAP in glioma cells in vitro and in human high grade gliomas. In addition to the DPP-IV/FAP double positive transformed glial cells, we also identified a subpopulation of FAP positive mesenchymal cells located in the perivascular compartment. Moreover we described the...
Development of clarinet play in folk music of the West Bohemian region
Jarábek, Josef ; HLAVÁČ, Jiří (advisor) ; MAREŠ, Vlastimil (referee)
The purpose of this Bachelor thesis is the description of the development of the clarinet play in a folk music in the region Chodsko. The thesis is based on the source comparison of sheet music and recordings from the year 1893 till now. It is focused on changes of flourishes, pace rhythmization and tuning. Together with this research there is also an effort to acquaint the reader with this West Bohemia region, which is one of the last regions keeping its traditions alive. In addition to the factual comparison of the particular folk music records the key part also represents interviews with local respondents where they express their opinions. These people live in above-mentioned region. On one side, these are long listeners of local folk music, on the other side, these are profesional musicians who devote themselves actively to folk music and traditions and who are also authors of arrangements and performances. This thesis can help today´s interpreters of folk music, not only in Chodsko. It demonstrates the proof of the visible progress of the clarinet play and the fact that more and more professional musicians are dedicated to folk music.
