Masked face detection
Malý, Ondřej ; Kříž, Petr (referee) ; Přinosil, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this work is to study and test current methods for face detection on veiled faces and evaluate the results. In the first chapter, five selected methods are theoretically analyzed and in the second chapter the individual methods are evaluated, both for the Wider Face file and for the actual set of photos with veiled faces. Subsequently, the Dlib CNN method is improved for better detection of veiled faces and reprogrammed to detect the degree of veil from the tested image
A Laboratory Task: Oscilloscope Measurement
Malý, Ondřej ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (referee) ; Marcoň, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the design of a signal generator for a laboratory task of the subject HELE. As a generating chip is used ICL 8038 that can generate three types of waveform – sinus, square wave and triangle. The frequency range is from 20 Hz to 20 kHz in selected circuit. Output is connected to oscilloscope probe, but also to 3.5mm headphone jack through which can be the selected waveform listened to on the connected headphones or speakers and measure the audible threshold.
Project Risk Management Proposal in Selected Company
Imrichová, Michaela Mária ; Malý, Otakar (referee) ; Doskočil, Radek (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with risk management in a selected information system implementation project. Project management tools and selected types of analyses were used to meet the objective of the thesis, the output of which is a complete identification of project risks. The risk management process is followed based on the RIPRAN method. The design part of the thesis is the space for quantification, creation of measures and incorporation of supporting activities in the field of monitoring and communication. The purpose is to minimize risk factors and establish a system for a smooth risk management process with a vision for the future.
Application of Rapid prototyping for production of historical models of assault force vehicles
Malý, Ondřej ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Dvořáček, Jan (advisor)
The paper deals with the production and subsequent evaluation of produced historical trolleys Steyr K2670 models at a scale of 1:120. For manufacturing of the product was used rapid prototyping technology, which creates objects based on the virtual designs. In order to compare, the prototype model was built on different machines, using different methods of making bodies. Based on the final product was produced 3D printing silicone mould, into which was casted the modeller resin in the vacuum chamber. The conclusion is that for objects with very fine detail, it is suitable to choose a machine with high accuracy, working with thin layers of material. The prototype needs to be shaped before creating mould because silicone mould transmits most of the details, such as the texture of the surface layer structure.
Comparing of selected textual data compresion methods
Malý, Ondřej ; Ivánek, Jiří (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the comparison of selected methods used in text data compression. In the introduction of the thesis, the general issues of data compression, basic breakdown, terminology and methods of compression measurement are presented. The theoretical part discusses the selected compression methods and the algorithms on which they are based. It focuses in particular on the methods that form the basis of this problem and from which many other methods still in use today were derived. In the practical part, we discuss selected compression or archiving programs and compare the methods on which they are based and their documentation and, furthermore, we compare their effectiveness on selected text data, both within the program itself and with each other.
Marking of rainbow trout with Alizarin
Halačka, Karel ; Mareš, J. ; Poštulková, E. ; Malý, O.
Method of using alizarin red (ARS) for mass-marking of rainbow trout was verified and optimized. Based on the results, it was possible to create methodological recommendations for marking individuals of rainbow trout using ARS: 1. Marking can be used shortly after hatching (around 14 days) since the fin rays are sufficiently developed or calcified. The standard application time and solution concentration (1 hour, 150 mg/l) can be used if the expected detection time of marker is around 4-5 weeks. It is necessary to increase the application time on 3 hours in order to distinguish individuals 2-3 months after marking. There was no evidence of a negative effect of the dye on rainbow trout individuals (mortality) or a change in chemistry (pH, conductivity, oxygen saturation of water) within standard concentrations and application time and economic parameters. The use of Alizarin red can significantly reduce financial (around 1 CZK/individual) and time requirements for fish marking. When compared with other types of marking, costs can be reduced to 10 percent (or less) and time-consuming (meaning labor costs) can be reduced to several percent. Another advantage that is difficult to quantify is benefit from information obtained by marking on the farms.

The End of Splendid Isolation: The Foreign Policy of the Late Victorian Britain
Malý, Ondřej ; Skřivan, Aleš (advisor) ; Valkoun, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis is dealing with the development of the Great Britan foreign policy in the last two decades of the 19th century. The period of time covered her is marked by the era berween the Anglo-Egyptian War in 1882 and the sign of the Anglo-Japanese Alliance in 1902. Primarily, the thesis concentrates on the Foreign Office working and the top-british politicians. The fundamental objective is assessment of the process of change British policy and the definitive rejection of Splendid Isolation in 1902. Therefore it will especially watch the rivalry of powers in peripheries in Africa, Balkans and the Far East. The thesis is devided into eight chapters. The final part resumes the data arising from the research of creation the foreign policy. Key Words: Foreign policy, Great Britain, foreign policy, Victorian era, splendid isolation, Anglo-Japanese Alliance, 19th century
Software for Modeling Car Driving Properties
Malý, Ondřej ; Surynek, Pavel (advisor) ; Gregor, Petr (referee)
This work is intended for all interested in physical modelling, discrete computer simulations and motorism. Text part describes mathematical model of a car, description of forces and effects which occurs within car motion. Model is focused especially on the engine, trasferring the torque, braking and turning. Furthermore the thesis deals with electronic systems like ABS or ESP, which improves the steering control. The most important part of this work is a computer application for simulating and visualising the model. The program supports batch input and become a useful tool for experimenting with different settings of the car. Text part of the work includes screenshots taken during the tests and along with mathematical interpretation provides an insight into a physical principle of the car behaviour.
