Meyer, Petr ; Kučerová, Silvie Rita (advisor) ; Bernard, Josef (referee) ; Siwek, Tadeusz (referee)
The thesis deals with the problematic of spatial organization of the elementary education which is realized in the Czechia by the system of catchment areas. The objective is to identify and categorize the factors of spatial differentiation in forming of the catchment areas of elementary schools in the Czechia. Furthermore, the thesis deals with identification and influence of conditions for forming of the catchment areas, analysis of opinions and tools of individual actors for the needs of forming, as with the identification of attitudes of individual actors and influence on the forming itself. On the methodological level, the methods of quantitative research (surveys) together with modeling in the geographical information system (GIS) and cartographical processing of data were used. Based on findings 4 groups of factors were identified - external, internal, preferential and data based. These factors apply selectively both from the point of view of territories and actors (municipality, school and parents).
Continuous monitoring of anthraquinone-based anticancer drugs by amperometric technique
Skalová, Štěpánka ; Fischer, J. ; Barek, J. ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Krejčí, J. ; Kučerová, R. ; Vyskočil, V.
This contribution is focused on the development of electroanalytical methods for the monitoring of anthraquinone-based anticancer drugs in physiological solution by combination of liquid-flow system and dialysis catheter, possibly inserted into blood circulation of patients. For this purpose, amperometric detection with dual glassy carbon electrode was developed and derivate of these drugs, anthraquinone-2-sulphonate, was used as a model compound. Two different flow rates of carrier solution (physiological solution) were tested (specifically, 1 and 5 mu L min(-1)) and the dependence of peak currents of anthraquinone-2-sulphonate on its concentration was verified
The Importance of School for Regional and Local Identity Formation - case study the Tábor Region
Mrázková, Anna ; Kučerová, Silvie Rita (advisor) ; Kühnlová, Hana (referee)
The educational reform, current changes in society and closer cooperation with municipalities as the usual founders of schools allow schools to focuse on less common and specific themas and work with them in a new way. In these days, the school itself is not only a place of education, it is a very important element of cultural and social life of every municipality as well. Based on these changes, the possibility of schools and individual teachers to form territorial identity of pupils and local residents comes to the fore. That is why the aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse teachers' attitudes to teaching about the territorial identity and its forming "outside" the school. For our research three small schools with composite classes in the Tábor region are chosen. Subsequently we analyse their school education programmes in the cotext of territorial identity, by the in-depth interview with teachers we analyse the intended currirulum and by the observing of appropriate lesson we analyse thematically focused realised curriculum. Key words: territorial identity, elements of territorial identity, small school with composite classes, curricural documents
The evaluation of actual offer of ecological education centres for the purpose of geografical educadion
Klímová, Tereza ; Matějček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kučerová, Silvie Rita (referee)
The thesis focuses on ecology education programmes that could be used to complement the syllabi of geography at schools. Such programmes are being organized by ecology education centres all around the country. In the thesis the reader will find out how do the centres work and a lot of information about their programmes. The aim of the thesis is to select geography oriented programmes from all those organized by individual education centres. Then the thesis evaluates the programmes from several viewpoints - the amount of geography oriented programmes offered, the age the programmes are designed for and their forms. In addition, the thesis evaluates individual counties. The practical result of this thesis is a list of geography oriented ecology education programmes sorted by county and topic. Incorporated into the thesis is a short work on Fair Trade held programmes and simulation games, which are very often offered by ecology education centres.

Kasková, Barbora ; Matějček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kučerová, Silvie Rita (referee)
11 ABSTRACT The study reported in this paper was undertaken during autumn 2007 to assess the status of environmental education and awareness of eight-formers living in chosen localities of a different population range. The main objectives of the study were to determine the depth of pupils' knowledge and awareness of environmental issues and problems and their attitude to the environment. Is there a certain homogeneity of environmental awareness and attitudes among most schoolchildren at village, town and the capital? To test the veracity or otherwise of this widely held assumption. The study comprised a detailed questionnaire of a sample of 324 schoolchildren. The study was designed to assess the general characteristics, environmental knowledge, and behavioural pattern of the sample. The research finding in the study indicated that positons of pupils result mainly from all-society views and less reverberate thein own experiences. Informants cann`t context aglomerated enviromental problems with the others global ones yet and they perceive them separately. Only few informats are able to answer what a global problem means. Also a few of them can concretely enumerace just one of the global problems. Lesser of them have awareness of a sustainable growth. Absolute majority of them identify thein selfs with...
The role of Euroregion Silva Nortica within the cross-border co-operation and the formation of regional identity
Klečková, Veronika ; Havlíček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kučerová, Silvie Rita (referee)
The thesis examines the impact of euroregion Silva Nortica on cross-border cooperation and regional identity. Silva Nortica as the newest Czech euroregion is located in Czech-Austrian borderland. The situation in the euroregion is analyzed through quantitative and qualitative research to offer a complex view on the issue. In context of institutional framework conditions the questionnaire survey together with guided interviews with representatives of the euroregion was analyzed. The thesis also offers possible ways of future development of the euroregion. The results show a good potential among locals to build a cross-border community. However, on the institutional level there are many problematic factors as constrains in future development of cross-border cooperation in Czech-Austrian borderland. Key words: Euroregion Silva Nortica, Czech-Austrian borderland, cross-border cooperation, regional identity, cross-border community, multi-level governance
