Selected Administrative Style Genres in Teaching Czech to Native Speakers of Russian at Secondary Schools

The dissertation focuses on teaching of so called advanced writing (in Czech) to secondary- school pupils who are native Russian speakers. We investigate the topic in the framework of a specific curriculum topic, i.e. administrative style genres. The aim of the dissertation is a) to identify the approach of teachers and that of Russian-speaking pupils towards this particular part of the curriculum, b) to assess the differences between texts of the chosen genres written by Czech pupils and pupils with Russian mother tongue, and, finally, c) to propose didactic solution for teaching the given administrative style genres to Russian-speaking pupils. We approach the topic with qualitative research methods. The practical part of the thesis consists of four parts. In the first one, on the basis of interviews, we analyse the teachers' approach, collect the evidence of critical places as well as examples of good practice. The second part looks closely at the Russian-speaking pupils' view. It has been discovered the pupils often cannot evaluate their language competences objectively, and generally, they lack metacognitive skills. Tato práce byla věnována problematice tvorby testu z cizího jazyka. Jejím cílem bylo seznámit širší pedagogickou veřejnost s základními pojmy testování a přiblížit proces vzniku didaktického testu z cizího jazyka. Z kapitoly 1, v níž jsme vymezili pojem didaktický test a charakterizovali jej podle různých kritérií třídění, vyplývá, že podobu didaktického testu určuje účel, ke kterému jej chceme použít. Celý proces vzniku testu je nutné podřídit tomu, co chceme testem zjistit, a k čemu mají sloužit jeho výsledky. V pedagogické praxi je tedy nutné zvolit správnou podobu testu podle účelu a zamýšlené interpretace výsledků.
Teaching Cultural Studies of English-speaking Countries at Grammar Schools in the Czech Republic in 21st century

This diploma thesis focuses on cultural studies as subject matter. Their roles are examined in teaching methods, in approaches to teaching by experts and in FEP SGE. It was found out from a questionnaire survey aimed at English teachers how and to what extent cultural studies are taught in English lessons at grammar schools. A content analysis of the three most used English student's books showed that cultural studies are included in them and they correspond to the requirements of FEP SGE; however, they do not include all of the topics and even some English-speaking countries rarely appear in them as well. The last part presents a lesson plan of cultural studies aimed at grammar schools. The country that was chosen for the lesson plan was Australia as it almost did not appear in the student's books. The Kindergarten Director evaluation as an instrument of his/her development

The aim of the thesis is to define basic terms - evaluation, evaluation theory, responsibilities and the role of the director of the kindergarten, kindergarten director's evaluation as a tool for his/her development. The practical part is focused on describing the tension between ideas and practice in the evaluation of the directors of kindergartens in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part focuses on explanation of the term "evaluation" and includes description of various theories of evaluation and their classification using not only Czech but also foreign literature sources. At the same time the terms such as the director of the kindergarten, his/her responsibilities and roles including the specifics of the work of the director of the kindergarten are explained. The end of the theoretical part is devoted to the evaluation of the director of the kindergarten. The practical part describes the findings which relate to the evaluation of the director of the kindergarten from the Czech School Inspectorate perspective. The Education of a Child with Cerebral Palsy in a Kindergarten

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to analyse a particular case of a handicapped child suffering from the cerebral palsy in a mainstream nursery school. The theoretical part deals with the issue of cerebral palsy and the education of children with specific educational needs in nursery schools. The practical part contains the study of the particular development of one child with the cerebral palsy and its educational process in the mainstream nursery school. The thesis observes especially motor skills, communication, autonomy and social inclusion of the child. The thesis has been completed on the basis of annual observation and interviews done with pedagogues, parents and children.
Private law aspectes of health care

The problems of providing medical care have been actual, especially regarding the fact, that the contemporary legal regulations lean on a Human care and Health Act (Law on Health Care) from 1966, that has been amended a lot since, as well as on The Convention on Human Rights Biomedicine, that came in force in 2001 in the Czech Republic. The professional public has been waiting for a new law form on providing health care, which is otherwise included in the Bill on Health Care Services, but it has not gone through the legislative process yet. Furthermore the author considers legally and ethically controversial Themes e.g. abortion or following the "Living will" in practice. The next processed topics are the patient's instructions and the acquirement of his informed consent.
