Sociomapping as a tool for understanding team processes in on-profit organizations

This thesis focuses on team processes, such as cooperation, communication, engagement and work overload in non-profit organizations. Furthermore, it monitors the transformation of these parameters into an optimal form. The transformation is observed through the sociomapping method, which is used to visualize team processes. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with teams and selected processes within them. Attention is also paid to team diagnostics, which aims to describe and comprehend team processes. Additionally, it introduces team interventions which enable better team cooperation. The following chapter focuses on the specifics of teamwork in the non-profit sphere. The empirical part presents a qualitative research, which determines how the sociomapping method realized through the means of action research affects cooperation within a team. Further, it attempts to describe how the visualization of team processes, team coaching and action plans support change in team processes and how all these three interventions influence cooperation and communication within two selected teams of one non-profit organization.
University Ranking

The thesis deals with the University Rankings. In the theoretical part there is a brief introduction into the history of the University Rankings followed by the manner in which the University Rankings are used by students and universities. The theoretical part then defines the areas of criticism regarding objectivity, simplifications and other problems. Another topic is the position of the Czech universities within the rankings. Then the alternatives to the rankings are presented. Subsequently the overview of the significant rankings is introduced. In the analytical part there is a detailed analysis of the three most important global rankings and a comparison of methodological criteria with other three rankings. Then a correlation analysis of the three most important rankings is performed on the first fifty universities and on a random selection of fifty universities. A comparison with other three rankings is offered. This is followed by a correlation analysis of the university rankings and the tuition as a practical example of the application.
Psychological aspects of stress in police work from the perspective of police psychologists

The thesis deals with the psychological aspects of stress in police work from the perspective of police psychologists. Firstly, key terms and psychological aspects of police work are described in the theoretical part. Subsequently, a chapter of individual aspects of stress in police work is introduced. The aspects are divided into four separate groups - organizational stress, stress and lifestyle, stress and family life and borderline situations in police work. The following chapter deals with psychological care for police officers. The research part of this work brings findings obtained qualitatively in in-depth interviews. A wide range of themes arose - exceeding bureaucracy and control, incessant need to keep up with the police role, limited career growth and the absence of meaning leading to burn-out. In the context of family life, themes of alienation, infidelity or other common family problems were registered. Alcohol abuse as an escape strategy was mentioned. Borderline and traumatizing events are marginal matter according to participants. A range of relevant themes arose - encounter with death, children victims, car accidents and suicide among police officers.
Motivation of employees in relation to work benefits

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of employees motivation in relation to work benefits. The main aim is to analyse the impact of employee benefits on motivating employees. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis defines motivation, work motivation, motive, stimulus, and theory of motivation of working behaviour. It also describes employee benefit, their ways of implementation and their breakdown. Lastly, the current trends of benefits that occur in the labour market and are included in the employment package. The practical part of this thesis deals with research relating to the influence of employee benefits on the motivation of employees in the company Termonta Praha a.s. This was conducted in the form of a questionnaire survey, the aim of which was to determine the impact of the individual benefits that this firm provides to its employees on their work motivation. The conclusion of this thesis evaluates the data gathered from the questionnaires and analyses the results, in addition to proposing possible changes to the benefits system, which could lead employees to greater motivation and greater work performance.
Motivation to join student organizations at University of Economics, Prague

Nowadays, meaning of participation in voluntary student organizations is growing. The main reason for being a member of such groups could not be salary, as it could be choosing a different activity. This thesis analyses and subsequently evaluates major motives of joining the voluntary student organizations. Moreover, it focuses on possible ways how to stimulate students to continue with the activity and what was the original motivation to join a voluntary student club in the first place. The conclusion of the thesis includes outcomes of the research that show, among others, the most common motives such as performing meaningful activities, access to contacts and the need to be a part of a team.
Integration of disabled to businesses in Slovakia

This Bachelor´s thesis is focused on integration of disabled people to businesses in Slovakia. The main goal is to analyse and review problems of disabled and the process of their integration to the labour market. In the theoretical part disability, rehabilitation, integration and inclusion are defined. Practical part consists of evaluation of statistics and current state of employment of disabled people. Output of this thesis are suggestions of measures that can contribute to better labour market integration of disabled people in Slovakia.
Quality of working life related to human resources activities

This thesis analyses the concept of quality of working life related to human resources activities. In the theoretical part, key concepts and related terms are introduced. Then different approaches and categorisations are stated. Individual human resources activities contributing to quality of working life as introduced by Walton are described in the following subchapters. Several examples of research approaches related to quality of working life are stated as well as different means of evaluating and measuring quality of working life. The practical part consists of a research design leading to a questionnaire development measuring quality of working life according to Walton's factors, which were described in detail in the theoretical part.

Contemporary trends in the development of tv entertainment: tv show Prostřeno

The dissertationdeals with entertainment in contemporary Czech and foreign environments. It is composed from two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. At the beginning of the theoretical part, the theoretical foundations necessary for the essay are elaborated, in particular everyday life and the role of television in it. Furthermore, it describes several TV shows, most importantly those which are in some way related (e.g. by genre) to Prostreno, that is reality and cooking shows. It also shortly mentions similar programs in the Czech environment. The analytical part has also several chapters. Firstly, the method of analysis for Prostreno is presented. This is content analysis, which is carried out and the results are evaluated. It is then compared to the other shows mentioned above. Furthermore, the means of expression of Prostřeno are presented (editing, music…) and a summary and overall evaluation follows.
