Role of parents in the Step by step Programme

This dissertation deals with theoretical and practical parts. As regards the theoretical part the author focuses on basic characteristics of the Step by step Programme, role of the child in the family and society from various viewpoints, influence of the family on his education as well as the receipt of new social roles in relation to school both by parents and children. As for the practical part the focus is on finfing whether co-operation between the family and school within the Step by step Programme has changed in the last ten years or not; if there are any changes to find the reason why they appear and how ways of co-operation between the family and school have changed.

The aim of the diploma work called Family-School Communication and Cooperation on Primary Education is to map forms of the cooperation between parents and schools on basis of history and procedures verified in practice. The work attends to conceptions of parents and teachers cooperation and communication in different alternative ways of education. Simultaneously it offers the view to a specific situation of the author's practise, which was the result of the poor quality of parent - school cooperation and communication. Pursuant to piece of knowledge from the theoretical part of the work, the author tries to solve the situation and to achieve the good-class and mutually cooperated relation between parents and schools.

The dissertation is mapping the transformation of child's social status since the communal society till the present day. The goal is to cover the existing cognition and its key milestones, to describe a child's behavior within the different time stages and also to discover the behavioral historical causes of children today and respective risks and advantages based on child's social status. The dissertation's author uses and benefits from the works of the other authors dealing with the history of pedagogy. The dissertation gives evidence of a child's social status growing stronger and the importance of the education and the school which significantly influences our future. The empirical section is dealing with the child's social status evolution since the first republic till the present day. It tries to phrase a theory of child's social status. Communication between school and family via Internet

Main goal of this thesis is to show possibilities of information technology as an instrument of communication between the subjects of educational process (i.e. the school and the family). Also to bring forward the transmission of information to make communication process actual and enabling contact with the school to the parents, who prefer this possibility over in-person visits of the school. Last part of the thesis offers possibility of using existing model of internet discussion forum to meet the requirements of communication between the school and the family.

Methods of efective integration of teaching English into the programe Step by Step

In my thesis I deal with methods of effective integration of teaching English into the programme Step by Step. This thesis outlines the transformation of the Czech education system after 1989, engages in some modern approaches of teaching English language and introduces Step by Step programme. The goal of this thesis is recording the course of teaching English by different organizational circumstances. The second goal is to describe and evaluate teaching English in bilingual class with focus on teaching materials and methods used. At the end of my thesis I offer some concrete suggestions of effective integration of teaching English into the programme Step by Step.
