Analysis of the current development of downhill skiing technique with a focus on vertical movement
Benda, Radek ; Macas, Tomáš (advisor) ; Havel, Jan (referee)
Title: Analysis of the current development of downhill skiing technique with a focus on vertical movement. Objective: Creation of an overview study of downhill skiing and turning techniques on alpine skis, based on content analysis focused on the vertical movement of the skier's center of gravity. Methods: This work is conceived as a development-oriented overview study. It utilizes research methods and is based on content analysis. Within this study, open databases and specialized web browsers were explored for relevant literature. The parameter of focus was set as the vertical movement. Results: From the studied literature and professional articles, we have found that the vertical movement of the body's center of gravity currently does not hold the same significance in skiing technique as it did in the past. Although vertical movement is present in modern technique, it is primarily utilized, for example, when traversing uneven terrain to maintain contact with the snow surface. Additionally, it is important to emphasize that the development of skiing technique goes hand in hand with advancements in ski equipment. Therefore, progress in equipment contributes to progress in technique. Conclusions: This bachelor's thesis presents a comprehensive text in the form of a developmental study that focuses...
Machine learning for recognition of simple physical systems
Benda, Jan ; Pavelka, Michal (advisor) ; Congreve, Scott (referee)
The rise of machine learning, particularly through the use of neural networks, has begun to change how we solve problems, including understanding simple physical systems. This thesis focuses on the Direct Poisson Neural Network (DPNN), a network that uses the structure of Hamilton's equations of motion to learn from data. This method allows us to extract the Hamiltonian and Poisson bivector from the data, helping to identify the type of physical systems. We explore how DPNN works with noisy data and when data is limited, checking its ability to make predictions in challenging conditions. Moreover, we have implemented Energy Ehrenfest regularisation to the model, which helps it recognise and simulate dissipative systems better. 1
Theory of electron photodetachment from molecular anion.
Zlatník, Jan ; Čížek, Martin (advisor) ; Benda, Jakub (referee)
In this thesis, we utilize the discrete-state-in-continuum model and pro- jection operator formalism, successfully used to describe inelastic electron- molecule collisions, to model resonant electron photodetachment. An inte- gral part of this work is the development of numerical methods that enable the quantitative evaluation of resonant electron photodetachment. Addition- ally, we seek analogs in photodetachment physics to phenomena observed in electron-molecule collisions, such as boomerang oscillations. The study utilizes these methods on simplified diatomic molecule models, particularly inspired by LiH and N2 molecules. The findings suggest the potential for extending these numerical methods to more complex molecular systems in future research.

Artistic Scene Visualization
Benda, Jan ; Tóth, Michal (referee) ; Kobrtek, Jozef (advisor)
The goal of this work is studying of selected artistic scene visualization (cell shading, pencil sketch shading) and simulate these techniques in the rendering of objects in 3D space using OpenGL. Applications of these methods is wide - from graphical application, through computer games to animated films. This work describes design and implementation of these methods: cell shading, pencil sketch shading and watercolor shading.
Defects classification
Benda, Jan ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
The thesis deals with a concept and creation of classifiers of defects found on continuous production lines. The first part presents an overview of methods used for image classification and a analysis of defects. The main part of the thesis consist of a description of created classifier interface and graphical user interface for classifier. The last part sums up reliability of each implemented classifer.
Decision Tree Design Based on Evolutionary Algorithms
Benda, Ondřej ; Trzos, Michal (referee) ; Karásek, Jan (advisor)
Tato diplomová práce pojednává o dvou algoritmech pro dolování z proudu dat - Very Fast Decision Tree (VFDT) a Concept-adapting Very Fast Decision Tree (CVFDT).
Control systém of matrix display
Benda, Jan ; Baštán, Ondřej (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
The content of this thesis is to design and implement control system for a matrix display BUSE using Raspberry Pi. At first the matrix display was revived because after several attemps of commissioning it seemed to be broken and there were some electrical components that needed to be replaced. The control system allows to design screens and animations for matrix display through graphical element called bitmap. The thesis contains creation of three programs. The control program running on PC, program for microcontroler ATmega128A which displays screens on BUSE panel and program for Raspberry PI which resends data between microcontroller and computer.
Ownership of media houses in the Czech Republic
Pelikánová, Karolína ; Benda, Josef (advisor) ; Miessler, Jan (referee)
The master's thesis Ownership of media houses in the Czech Republic describes the current media landscape in the Czech Republic within the framework of major publishing houses with a significant impact and a wide portfolio of titles and further evaluates the coverage of the topic Gaining the trust of the government with the support of the KSČM using the method of analysis. The aim of the thesis was to describe the transformation of the ownership structure of media houses, which is currently almost entirely in Czech (or Czechoslovak) hands. Through analysis, it describes the possible motivation of contemporary media moguls.
Applying the European Customer Satisfaction Index in the area of sport
Benda, Ondřej ; Šíma, Jan (advisor) ; Čáslavová, Eva (referee)
Title: Applying the European Customer Satisfaction Index in the area of sport Objectives: The main objective of this paper is to determine customer satisfaction of the Czech Association Sport for All (ČASPV) using the methodology of the European Customer Satisfaction Index (ECSI) and following the results of the research propose recommendations. The sub-objectives include modification of the ECSI methodology for the area of sport and comparison of the resulting ECSI index values in terms of the quality management system applied in ČASPV, different methods of determining the weights of measurable variables and already conducted research in the Czech commercial environment. Methods: The work uses, through the methodology of the European Customer Satisfaction Index (ECSI), the method of quantitative marketing research. For the primary data collection from ČASPV agents and clients, electronic and written inquiries were used. Results: According to the resulting ECSI index values, ČASPV clients have been very satisfied with the services and activities of the Association. In terms of the quality management system applied in ČASPV, the Sport for All (SPV) union group, which is linked to the system, achieved a higher ECSI value. When compared with already completed studies at commercial entities, the total...
