Single board computer based control design for model of autonomous convoy vehicle
Čermák, David ; Mašek, Petr (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of a control system for autonomous vehicle motion in a convoy. The suggested system is based on the platform BeagleBoard-xM. The only input peripheral is an USB camera and the contorol requirements are then transmitted via serial communication. Vehicle handling is mediated by the microcontroller ATmega16 and the functionality is tested in a debug environment of AVR Studio 4.19.

The Role of Public Prosecutor in Criminal Proceedings Abstract This diploma thesis on the topic of The Role of the Public Prosecutor in Criminal Proceedings identifies and presents the key parts of the regulation related to the position, role and tasks of the public prosecutor in criminal proceedings. Public prosecutors play an important and irreplaceable role in the system of criminal justice. It manifests itself to the full in particular in criminal preliminary proceedings, in which the public prosecutor exercises his supervisory powers over the procedure of the police authority and has a number of exclusive powers that enable him to effectively control and manage the course of this phase of the criminal proceedings. Furthermore, it is exclusively the public prosecutor who in the Czech Republic is authorized to initiate criminal proceedings before a court and to represent a public prosecution in it. The aim of the thesis is not only to bring closer the key parts of the regulation regarding the role of the public prosecutor in criminal proceedings, but also to critically analyze and place them in a wider context. It approaches individual topics and questions primarily conceptually and tries to use the inductive method to abstract from the specific regulation a conclusion about what role the representatives...

Čermák, David ; Kraus, Jiří (advisor) ; Zamazal, Ondřej (referee)
This bachelor's thesis aims at mapping the history of the football magazine Hattrick, which has been published in the Czech Republic since October 1999. In an attempt to elaborate on the development of the magazine, I will first try to document the social background at the time of the magazine's launch, and to describe the competitive environment (albeit not very broad) and the titles that preceded the issuing of Hattrick or subsequently shared their readership. The main objective of this paper is the introduction of Hattrick as the most significant contemporary Czech periodical fully devoted to football and the analysis of content and other changes in the first ten years of its existence. The thesis focuses on the development of individual columns, which underwent gradual alterations, reflecting personal changes in the editorial team and the financial situation. In the chapter Football shifts on the background of time, I will attempt to analyze football as a social phenomenon and the way its perception changed in the Czech society in the period between 1999 and 2009. The shifts will be supported by several materials published in Hattrick. In the final part of my paper, I will assess the development of the magazine and the reasons behind the fact that despite its decreasing sales it has maintained its...

Čermák, David ; Fabianková, Klára (advisor) ; Soukup, Jaromír (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on analysis of financing the British war economy during Second World War. The main goal of this thesis is to provide comprehensive view on aspects of financing a war economy in general and to illustrate those aspects on the example of Great Britain. The first part deals with pre-war period with accent on the process of rearmament. The second part defines means of war-time finance in general and then analyses their specific application in Great Britain. This part is also dedicated to comparison of approaches to financing war economy in Great Britain and Germany. The third part concerns specific issues of acquiring American dollars in order to finance government purchases of goods from the United States within boundaries of Cash and Carry doctrine. This part also analyses methods applied to acquiring American dollars and evaluates their importance to the British economy. Part of this thesis is also description of collaboration between Great Britain and United States after adoption of Lend-Lease act. Based on accessible information I answered the main questions about used methods and structure of financing British war finance. Half of the expenditure was met by raised taxation, which relied mostly on income tax. The other half of expenditure was covered by borrowings. The main source of the borrowings were the British citizen`s savings. In order to prevent macroeconomic destabilization the government introduced rationing and income taxes. These steps were successful in limiting demand-pulled inflation. Final analysis of means used to acquire American dollars states that those methods were unsuccessful in providing sufficient amounts of dollars. Therefore the introduction Lend-Lease act was essential to British war effort.
