Risk factors for Reinkeho edema and the possibility of their influence
Pavelec, Václav ; Slípka, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Sobotka, Pavel (referee) ; Chrobok, Viktor (referee)
1) The emergence Reinkeho edema significantly contributes to menopause. It is one of the most important factors. Our data suggest that it would not be so if they were women hormonally substituted. The second most important moment for the recurrence of RE are manifestations of gastroesophageal reflux. It can be accompanied by reflux laryngofaryngeálnlm, but not necessarily. It seems that its influence may be indirect, through vagal innervation (reflex). Uncover and reflux time it zaléčit proton pump is essential for proper treatment. Diagnostic methods are different with regard to the patient's good to find the least burdensome method. Dynamic scintigraphy of the esophagus is in such examination. Antibodies against HP in the stool indicate the need to treat helikobakteriózu regardless of the extent of gastrointestinal symptoms. Essential for initiation of drug treatment finding Reinkeho edema as one of the manifestations of GERD. HP eradication can be achieved by the use of proton pump inhibitors. In refractory cases the H + blocker or associated with typical gastroenterological problems, we recommend to treat the patient with antibiotics and chemotherapeutics Smoking has a significant influence on the RE, especially if the patient stops smoking after surgery, relapse escapes with great hope. We do not at...
Generalisation of Cournot oligopoly model for more players
Nehasil, Václav ; Chrobok, Viktor (advisor) ; Zouharová, Martina (referee)
This thesis deals with oligopolistic market and situations occurring in it. Its aim is to approximate basic principles and rules, which relate to oligopoly. Thesis is limited to the situation when the products of all firms are homogeneous and these firms compete only by the produced quantities. Models of Cournot and Stackelberg are introduced in it. The possibilities of cooperation are being researched using the theory of games. Solved mathematical problem is attached to each of these models and it demonstrates all the procedures properly. Derivation of general formulas, if all cost and price functions are linear, is located in the second part of the thesis. Their utilization is demonstrated on solved mathematical problem and verification of them is located there.
Optimalizace těžby přírodních zdrojů
Chrobok, Viktor ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Kodera, Jan (referee) ; Vošvrda, Miroslav (referee)
The thesis describes various modifications of the predator-prey model. The modifications are considering several harvesting methods. At the beginning a solution and a sensitivity analysis of the basic model are provided. The first modification is the percentage harvesting model, which could be easily converted to the basic model. Secondly a constant harvesting including a linearization is derived. A significant part is devoted to regulation models with special a focus on environmental applications and the stability of the system. Optimization algorithms for one and both species harvesting are derived and back-tested. One species harvesting is based on econometrical tools; the core of two species harvesting is the modified Newton's method. The economic applications of the model in macroeconomics and oligopoly theory are expanded using the methods derived in the thesis.
Geomarketing methods
Voráč, Michal ; Chrobok, Viktor (advisor) ; Černý, Michal (referee)
Aim of this application-oriented master's thesis is to prove a benefits from using data analysis techniques connected with geodata processing to support business decisions. As a conclusion two solutions are given which are more attractive then starting situation. Since the first solution proposed is oriented on giving maximum success ratio while considering transactions, the second one is oriented on business value of each transaction. In this thesis R programming language is widely used together with ArcGIS Online in its final part.
Menu optimization for school cafeteria
Vlačihová, Martina ; Princ, Peter (advisor) ; Chrobok, Viktor (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the application of mathematical programming in real data application. Specifically, it is nutritional problem that is defined in the environment of school cafeteria. The main topic is a compilation of the school menus. There are four menus that consist of twenty meals. There are many limitations which have to be observed. These limitations are based on the requirements of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. The model is described with the linear programming and is solved by the program LINGO.
Comparison of theoretical and practical solutions of bargaining games
Štanc, Daniel ; Chrobok, Viktor (advisor) ; Princ, Peter (referee)
Game theory has began to develop in the early 20th century and since that has been published a number of articles and experiments, theoretically and practically. This work deals with the particular part of the game theory - bargaining games. It seeks to describe and summarize the existing theoretical and practical knowledge on the basis of earlier experiments and explain differences between experiments. It was detected an addiction of decision that participants make and social environment in which they live. It was also found out the two main directions of participants behavior -- fair, in which participants tried to bargain fair distribution, and unfair, which led to the effort to maximize their own utility or minimize utility of someone else.
Econometric Analysis of the Main Determinants of Austrian Foreign Trade
Davidová, Lucie ; Sedláček, Jiří (advisor) ; Chrobok, Viktor (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the main determinants of Austrian imports by estimating the import function. The analysis of the data from 1995--2011 implies great openness of the economy, strong orientation at machinery industry, Germany (40 %) and other EU-countries (other 35 %). I have employed a linear log-log model estimated by OLS. Consequently, I have obtained a triple of estimated import functions -- a general one, one for year 2011 in particular, and the last one for the top ten Austrian importers. There is a significant positive impact of partner's GDP (0.81--1.42), common language (1.1--2.3) and contiguity (0.4--2.7). On contrary, we observe an inverse relationship of imports with distance (0.9--1.1) and trade barriers (0.3--0.8). Considering similarities between Austrian and Czech economies, we can deduct similar implications for economic and trade policies.
VAR Analýza Exchange Rate Pass-Through v České Republice
Borodin, Dmitry ; Chrobok, Viktor (advisor) ; Zouhar, Jan (referee)
The paper will empirically investigate the strength and the speed of the exchange rate pass-through effect in the Czech Republic, i.e. the change in the domestic prices, originally caused by the volatility of the exchange rate. VAR modelling framework has been chosen as a main instrument of analysis. Vector autoregression will also be the subject of the theoretical part of the paper, which aims to provide a clear and at the same time many-sided discussion on the relevant topics. Practical part will be completely devoted to the modelling of the exchange rate pass-through.
