Job description of school special educator

The diploma thesis deals with the activities of a special educator at a regular elementary school. Thesis is interested in his position and role in the school, his competence or job description and how other pedagogical staff treat his work at the school. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the legislative anchoring of the profession of special educator and the whole system of education. The thesis defines the methods and forms of work that are most suitable in the education of pupils with special educational needs. The thesis also provides an insight into the consulting system and its specifics with an emphasis on the functioning of the school consulting centre. The empirical part of the thesis consists of mixed research. It is based on the evaluation of a questionnaire survey, which examines the opinions of teachers on the work of the school consulting centre and above all opinions on the position of a special teacher at the school. The questionnaires were distributed to teachers and teacher assistants and asked what benefits and shortcomings they see in the work of the school special educator and how they think they work with pupils, their parents and other teachers. Inclusive education of children with cochlear implants

This work concerns the inclusive education of children with cochlear implants (CI). The theoretical part is devoted to the introduction to the issue of hearing impairments and their diagnostics. It provides informations on the issue of the cochlear implant and its history. It describes companies producing cochlear implants and implantation of their products in specific hospitals in the Czech Republic. The last theoretical chapter focuses on the education of children with CI, supporting measures and it contains selected studies about teachers' opinions on the inclusion of these children. The practical part of the work was carried out in the form of an online questionnaire survey inspired by one of the studies (Dulčić a Bakota, 2009) mentioned in the theoretical part. The research was enriched by open and semi-closed questions to obtain qualitative data, in addition to the quantitative part. The basis of the research was to find: whether teachers welcome the inclusion of children with CI. Further aims of the research were to find: how teachers are informed about the cochlear implant, what are the opinions of interviewed teachers on the inclusion of children with CI into their schools and how interviewed teachers are experienced with these children. Teaching at small village school with the mixed age classes in the context of inclusive education

This diploma work describes educational trial in small village school in the context of inclusive education. It is focused on teaching united classes and teaching pupils with special educational needs. Theoretical part contains characteristic of small village schools, describes their historical evolution, typical features of teaching and position assistant of teacher in these schools. In the following subsections are determined special learning disabilities, theirs causes of origin and regulars pedagogical intervention. And then is focused on theme of inclusive education. Targets of practical part were to find experiences of teachers at small village schools, to choose ideal didactical methods and organizational forms, which are suitable for differentiation and individualization in the teaching, after that to make a proposal of methodical support, that to verify in practise and to evaluate its. Intervention approaches in support of pupils with ADHD in Zlinsky region

The theme of the master thesis is the intervention approaches used to support pupils with a specific behavioral disorder. The main aim of the thesis is to map the content of the consultancy services in Zlin Region, which are provided to pupils with specific behavioral disorders in schools and school counseling facilities, specifically pedagogical-psychological counselling centres. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. Basic concepts will be defined in the first chapter. The following chapter presents classification and differentiation of specific behavioral disorder from a medical point of view, risk factors of development of specific behavioral disorder, major and associated shows of specific behavioral disorder and its consequences. The third chapter deals with interventions and treatment options for specific behavioral disorders including prevention. Foreign approaches to pupils with a specific behavioral disorder are also outlined in this chapter. The researching part contains a chapter devoted to the methodology of research. There are included research objectives, research issues, data collection methods and the definition of a research sample. The following chapter already provides data analysis and interpretation. Possibilities of support of motivation at pupils with specific learning disabilities in special pedagogical intervention

This thesis focuses on the possibilities for influencing the motivation of pupils with specific learning disabilities during special pedagogical interventions conducted at schools. The aim of this study is to determine which of the approaches used by specialised pedagogues within the field of specialised pedagogical practice are most effective in increasing the motivation of pupils with learning disabilities and why. One of the sub-goals of this work is to describe the principles for strengthening motivation in special pedagogical interventions. This thesis is divided into two parts: the teoretical and the research part. The theoretical part deals with specific learning disabilities, terminological definitions, etiology and reeducation. It also focuses on motivation, its types, influencing factors and its application. The research part with the use of qualatitive research methods seeks to explore perception of special pedagogues on the role of motivation and support of pupils with specific learning disabilities motivation during the intervention. Influence of home preparation on school success of pupils with specific learniíng and behavioral disorders

My thesis occupies with the influence of home preparation for successfulness of pupils with specific learning disturbances and behaviour in basic school. The theoretical part there are explained terms of specific evolutional disturbances of school skills. This part deals with etiology and diagnosis. There are legislative alterations of education and it includes complete reeducational school care which points on importance of teacher's personality and on forming of positive climate in the class. It describes family and its role in connection with all risk factors which influence it. The point of preparation determines learning and behaviour by way of concrete forms and methods of work with pupils with specific disturbances. The empirical part of thesis is compiled by method of qualitative research and it's a result of research investigation which is connected to detailed analysis of acquired data. The main methods of investigation were long-lasting structured pupils' observation, analysis of file documentation and analysis of professional advice. These all together and interviews made complete picture of individual case studies.
Attitudes to pupil with learning disabilities and behavioral disorder at lower secondary school from the perspective of school teacher assistant

The main subject of the thesis is based on characteristics of the attitudes to a pupil with specific learning disabilities and behavioral disorder in the frame of an upper stage of an ordinary elementary school (based on the standards of the Czech republic). The theoretical part initially describes the school system of Czech republic and the legislative framework of the primary education of pupils with special educational needs. Subsequently, a group of pupils with specific learning disabilities and behavioral disorder is defined from a main group of pupils with special educational needs. Thereafter, the provided support to those pupils is characterized alongside with a brief job description of a school teacher assistant. Considering the frequent connection of special learning disabilities to other difficulties, the symptom ADD/ADHD is explained as next. The pupil's personality is specified in the last section. Encouraging students with dyslexia to read

The master thesis is focused on the reading and reading literacy of studentes with specific reading difficulty - with Dyslexia. The target group are students of the second level of primary school. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of the specific learning difficulty, expecially on Dyslexia. It follows not only a general definition and an etiology but also diagnostics in school practice. The center of interest is mainly the support of this group of pupils at school. This text presents the charakteristics of the reading skills and reading and reading literacy that contribute to school success. The thesis is to investigace the support of the reading at primary school. The empirical part is based on the analysis of the quantitative research data. The research focuses on the concept of reading, which is aimed at students of the second level of primary school, while the actual analysis follows possible nuances in the self-assessment component of the students representing the norm and students with Dyslexia. The aim of the research is to capture the current relationship of students to reading with regard to the nature of the support provided.
