Integrating health a social services for patiens with incurable illness

The thesis deals with the integration of health and social services for patients with incurable diseases. In the theoretical part I define notions of aging and old age and in connection with that I point out the aspects that the old age and the aging bring. In another area of the theoretical part I explicate the laws and regulations of the Czech Republic relating to the given issue. I also provide a statistical overview of the development of the population, diseases and places of death and in relation to these factors I mention the principles of the palliative care. The conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to an overview of available researches dealing with the integration of health and social care in both the Czech Republic and abroad. In the empirical part using qualitative research I examine how individual research respondents perceive linking health and social services in the care of a patient with an incurable disease in homes for the elderly, and what possibilities and obstructions are there according to themselves with the provision of palliative care in the links between health and social services. Utilization of personnel management in volunteering The diploma theses deals with a comparison of methods of personnel management in business and volunteering and answers the question of whether coordinators of volunteers utilize knowledge of personnel management in their work or whether they choose different strategies. Four theoretical chapters introduce the necessary information to understand the practical part. The first chapter anchors the area of volunteering by stating the basic concepts. The text continues to analyze the law on volunteering in more detail and thus provides insight into legislation in the area of volunteering. The description of volunteer centres and their function in the work with volunteers gives basic picture of this topic, before moving on to the main chapter, which discusses the different elements of human resource management and highlights the common and different approaches when working with staff and volunteers, as described in the literature. The empirical part then captures the methodology of the survey, its analysis and the conclusions which could be drawn on the ground of a limited number of realized interviews. This thesis introduces the current state health of the population of the Czech Republic, addressing mainly the steep increase in diseases of civilization. Diseases which are mainly the result of an inappropriate lifestyle. The aim of this work is the development of a business plan leading to the establishment of a company that will provide services in the field of nutrition counseling, physiotherapy, regeneration and physical activities. The theoretical part of this work defines the basic concepts and assumptions which are the building blocks of this thesis. Specifically, the tools for strategic management and business plan requirements. Furthermore, the theoretical part defines concepts such as health and a healthy lifestyle. The practical part of this thesis includes a research and analysis section which form the basis for the creation of the business plan. Methodologically, quantitative research was applied. A technically structured questionnaire was used to gain the required data. The analytical part then goes on to include an analysis of the general and business environments, or, to be precise, of the internal environment. Assessment of employees as a factor stimulation of working performance of health care workers

The thesis is focused on the system of the staff evaluation and its influence and increase of the work performance of the health care of workers. The thesis is structured into two main parts, which are the theoretical part and the research. The first part provides a comprehensive overview of the theoretical knowledge that is necessary for understanding of the mentioned topic. It is divided into several sub-units, in which is described work performance itself, both in the general and in the specification of the health services. Furthermore, there is a part dealing with the motivation of the work performance and last but not least is the content focused on the own staff evaluation - its forms, methods and recommended procedure for the introduction of staff evaluation process in the organization. The thesis discusses how information and communication technologies (ICT or IT), nowadays transforms the form of health and social services. The specific arguments and social events are described, that leads today's health and social services closer to the use of ICT, influence and changes it. The work describes the latest trends linking ICT and social and health services in the areas of e-health, telemedicine, mobile health and assistive technologies. Specific tools and equipment and their practical use are presented. The practical part focuses on the introduction of specific- gadgets tablet care in caring for the elderly. Through direct interviews with caregivers and seniors is investigated how new technology is perceived by caregivers and seniors, how new technology equipment to care are introduced, and what positive and negative impact are the ICT has for facilities and the elderly. This master thesis presents the field of Occupational Therapy within rehabilitation care and points out the possibilities of its use in follow-up care and field outpatient practice. The thesis aims at the elaboration of a business plan for establishing an Occupational Therapy private practice, which would provide Occupational Therapy service and rehabilitation for people with lasting functional deficit in their own social environment or in an Occupational Therapy outpatient department. The theoretic part focuses on the theoretic basis of business, requirements for establishing of a private practice and concept of strategic management and analysis. It continues with the structure of business plan and presents the field of Occupational Therapy, its history, actual situation and position within the comprehensive care. Organization of Advanced Life Support Provider Course in the Czech Republic

The theoretical part of this thesis titled "Organization of Advanced Life Support Provider Course in the Czech Republic" deals with adult education from different perspectives. Firstly, it briefly discusses the history of adult education and then deals with emerging trends in human resource management and knowledge management (e.g. management by competencies, learning organization, etc.) in relation to education. Then clearly describes the area of adult education with a focus on training and mainly training of health care professionals. The last part of theoretical block describes the Advanced Life Support Provider course and teaching methods that are used during the course. The practical part presents the action research project, which includes quantitative methods, which represents two questionnaire surveys relates to the satisfaction of the course participants with the organization and practical usage of the taught techniques. Support for informal carers who care for seniors

1 Abstract Informal care is one of the important sources of the help and support provided at home to the seniors requiring the assistance from other people. This topic is highly relevant since it is linked to the growing need of long-term care of seniors reflecting the ageing of population in developed countries. The care provided by informal carers is important also because of the changes in the social services. The changes are related to the shift from institutional care of depending persons including seniors to the social services provided in the natural social environment. Such approach supports the autonomy of clients. This master degree thesis addresses the support of informal carers in the area of the care of non self-sufficient elderly people. The investigation is focused on the needs of informal family caregivers as for the information support, financial support, the support from the social services and the support expected from the services of long-term residential care. Human Resource Management in Non-Profit Organization - Case Study

The thesis deals with management of personnel, and primarily describes the process of the job position analysis and the specific features of nonprofit organizations, which are reflected in this sphere of management. The thesis is designed as a case study of civil association and therefore in the first place it serves to specific organization as a data source, which can be used upon realization of the main tasks of the personnel management of the organization. Within the scope of the thesis analysis of the job positions was made in the organization and the output results were used as a basis for recommendations relating to amendments in the present job position' description and proposal of the way how to implement evaluation system and development of employees. This outcome is given in the closing part of this thesis. The purpose of the thesis is to demonstrate benefits emerging from the job positions' analysis and its results in personnel management of nonprofit organizations on a specific example of the civil association.
