Issues of further professional eduzation of employees of the Prison service of the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of further professional education of professional employees working in the Prison Service of the Czech Republic (VS ČR) and the possibilities of its development. The aim of the diploma thesis is to conceptualize and characterize further vocational education, with emphasis on the analysis and identification of educational needs and motivation of professionals to continue their education. Furthermore, to carry out research aimed at monitoring the use of methods and forms of education and development of employees. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with the definition and relationship of basic concepts in the field of further education, systematic education, analysis of educational needs, organizational structure of VS ČR, description of selected aspects of further vocational education in the context of lifelong learning. Attention is paid to the system of education, structure and identification of educational needs in the field of public administration in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, a description of the model of the concept of management of further education of VS ČR employees is implemented. Processes of land use extensification in the inner periphery of Czechia after 1990

Jaroslav KŘÍŽ: Processes of land use extensification in the inner periphery of Czechia after 1990 The thesis deals with land use changes in the territory of the Czechia inner periphery, which run from 1990 to the present, focusing on extensification processes, primarily for grass planting, afforestation and abandonment of agricultural land. Research will focus on revealing the factors that these processes at the level of individual agricultural parcels influence. Examined are both natural factors (slope, productive capacity of the soil) and socioeconomic factors (distance from settlements and roads, the number of owners of the area, the distance from the area of residence of the owner). Research is carried out in two model areas, which also correspond to the cadastral area. Current data are collected by field survey and then compared to the situation before 1990, which is shown in map sheets of the State Map derived 1: 5000. Traveler Čeněk Paclt (1813-1887) - the first Czech that has ever been to all five continents in respect to historical anthropology

This dissertation analyzes the life of Czech traveler Čeněk Paclt (1813 - 1887), who was born in the town of Turnov. Čeněk Paclt belongs to the most famous Czech travelers. He is also the first Czech, who has provably traveled through all five inhabited continents and has left written evidence about his journeys. Fundamental part of this thesis is focusing on his life and describes his adventures, which he had come across on the five continents. The thesis is written in historical, and employs historical anthropology, which focuses on a single individual in the course of human events, as one of the main methodological approaches. Secondarily, this thesis elaborates Paclt's personality and his view on aboriginal cultures, which he encountered during his travels, and Paclt's relationship towards his hometown is also mentioned. Furthermore, the dissertation touches upon traveling background in Czech nation during 19th century.

Impact of chlamidia trachomatis infection on chronic pelvic pain

Summary: Impact of Chlamydia trachomatis infection on chronic pelvic pain. The aim of the study was to determine whether women with chronic pelvic pain and Chlamydia infection differ from women with chronic pelvic pain without Chlamydia infection in respect of findings on laparoscopy and sexual behaviour. In a study conducted from April 2006 to December 2009, we monitored a group of 129 female patients suffering from chronic pelvic pain of more than 6 months duration. All monitored patients underwent laparoscopy, and during the procedure, swabs were taken from their Fallopian tubes and cervix, which were immunofluorescensed for the presence of Chlamydia trachomatis antigen. The patients were divided into two groups (Chlamydia positive and Chlamydia negative) according to the presence of Chlamydia antigen. The patients completed questionnaires covering the age at first sexual intercourse, number of lifetime and current sexual partners, frequency of sexual intercourse and the method of contraception. The differences in findings on laparoscopy and questionnaire results of women with positive and negative proof of Chlamydia infection were studied. The History of the Cultural Phenomenon "James Bond" on the Background of the Cold War

The thesis analyzes a historical development of James Bond films in a background of the Cold War between years 1962-1989. A fictional character James Bond is a cultural phenomenon, which became an absolute world-wide symbol from the point of popular culture since the sixties in 20 century. The main part of the thesis focuses on movies with agent 007 and describes the ideological base, which we can investigate. Secondarily, Bond's past is handled. Therefore, a development of the literary figure, who moved from spy novels to the screen, is analyzed in here. Experimental Investigation of selected supramolecular systems by NMR spectroscopy

The thesis describes investigation of two selected supramolecular systems by means of NMR spectroscopy and hydrodynamic calculations. The first system studied was inclusion complex of cryptophane-C with chloroform. Initially, the kinetics of complexation was determined. The measurements of longitudinal relaxation and heteronuclear Overhauser enhancement on carbon-13 nuclei revealed very large motional coupling between the host and the molecular guest bound inside the cavity. Hydrogen bonded clusters of ethanol in a non-polar solvent were the second system addressed. The diffusion coeffcients of ethanol were measured in a broad temperature range (180 - 330 K) by means of NMR spectroscopy. The average cluster sizes dependent upon experimental conditions were determined. At low temperature (around 180 K), the cluster sizes vary from hexamer (0.16 M sample) to octamer or larger structures (1.4 M sample). On the other hand, the average cluster size at ambient temperature corresponds to trimer (1.4 M), pure monomer occurs in the less concentrated sample above 308 K. Experimental results for monomer are in excellent agreement with the calculated values.
